Story
Meet Tripod! This sweet baby was found on the side of the highway, accompanied by another dog, with no owners to claim them. He was dirty, matted up, and abandoned. Tripod is likely a male, border collie/aussie mix. He is a sweetie boy who will fall asleep in your lap and loves to run and play despite his bum back leg, which causes him no problems or pain. The vet said he likely has had this condition since a pup and has gotten used to not using that leg. He looks to be only a few years old and is neutered. He is comfortable with handling and hasn't shown any signs of aggression - let's us lift him into the car, demat him (fell asleep in our lap while we cut them out!), and bathe him. As far as being friendly with other animals and food aggression, he has been great with the lab mix we found traveling with him. He's had flea and tick meds, deworming, DAPP & Bordetella vaccines. He's scheduled for rabies vaccines on Sat. the 30th. Message me for more information and interest!

Story
Sasha is a 10-year-old, 55 lb mixed breed we adopted from a rescue in Austin, TX in 2018. Sasha is loyal, sensitive, and loves being close to her people. She LOVES food. “The most food motivated dog I’ve ever worked with” according to 2 separate trainers. In the right environment she is very chill and loves to lay down belly up or in a full sploot! Despite her age, she still loves a good backyard zoomie and a long walk. Since having young kids (3 yr old and 9 month old), her anxiety has increased (growling/resource guarding), so she would do best in a home without small children. We currently keep her separated from the baby but she becomes distressed when isolated from her people. She tolerates other dogs but careful introduction would be needed before rehoming with other dogs. In Nov 2024, she was diagnosed with anal sac adenocarcinoma, the tumor was removed and quarterly follow ups have been clear. We love Sasha deeply and want to find her home to live out her golden years.

Story
Some dogs are social butterflies—this big guy is more of a one-person best friend, and he takes that role very seriously. At around 3 years old, this large, handsome dog is devoted, affectionate, and deeply bonded to “his” person. He thrives in a calm, predictable home where he can focus all his love on one human rather than navigating a busy household with lots of comings and goings. Because he feels protective of his people, he’s had a harder time in homes with multiple people—but with just one person, he truly shines. On leash, he’s a dream to walk and enjoys getting out and about with his person. He’s done well with most other dogs but may prefer to be your one and only at home. He already knows sit and is eager to please. At home, he’s all about the good stuff: affection, pets, cuddles, and quality time curled up next to his person. This sweet boy would be a wonderful match for a single adult, a quieter household, and someone who doesn’t have frequent visitors—a person who wants a loyal shadow, a steady walking buddy, and a dog who will love them with his whole heart. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be your dog, this guy might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.
