Story
Big dog lovers!!! Meet Toby! This big boy is really just a great guy. Besides being super handsome, he is always up for some play time. He enjoys playing with balls and tug-of-war and especially outing to the dog park and lots of time outside. He has no experience with cats but gets along well with the other dog in his home. He is good with children but because of his large size and high energy, kids over 5 will be best. He knows several basic commands and sleeps in his crate at night. He walks well on a leash and is housetrained. Toby is well-mannered gentle giant that weighs about 80 pounds and is 3 years old. Toby is a Labrador Retriever/Cane Corso mix. Toby is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.March 5, 2024, 6:19 am

Story
Hi! I am Todd and I am an 9-month-old hound mix weighing about 64 pounds. I came to the AWL with my sister, Katrina, but I do not need to be adopted with her. I have quickly learned to walk on a leash, and I have heard the volunteers say that I am a good listener and like to please, so I will do well with obedience training. I really like people and other dogs and I like the attention I get here, but I would love a home of my own with people of my own. I am heartworm positive, but AWL will provide and pay for all the treatment that I require to get a clean bill of health, even if I am adopted before that happens. Come and see me. I am sure you will fall in love with me.You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.March 5, 2024, 6:19 am

Story
Hi I am Katrina. I am an 9-month-old hound mix weighing around 59 pounds. I came to the AWL with my brother, Todd, but I do not need to be adopted with him, although a playmate would be nice to have. I like other dogs and all people. I was good with the cats when tested. I seem to be housetrained since I always wait until I get outside with the dog walker. I am a very sweet girl and I am learning a lot of new things, like walking on a leash. I am very eager to please so I should do well with training. I am picking that up pretty fast. Everyone at the shelter is very nice to me, but I need to find my own people to love and snuggle with. Please come by and see me. I promise you won't be disappointed. You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.March 5, 2024, 6:19 am

Story
Lily is a Blonde Labrador Retriever, 9 months old and weighing 59 lbs. She is very sweet and a little shy, she is starting to get comfortable with the volunteers at the shelter so her personality is starting to shine through. She likes to go on walks and she might be a water dog, she was walking on a trail and wanted to dive in some nearby water. She has the typical Lab smile that draws you to her. She would do well with someone who has the time to train her and she would love to be part of a family. Come meet her I promise you won't be disappointed. You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.March 5, 2024, 6:19 am

Boone walks well on a leash and is just happy and laid back. It doesn't hurt that he's handsome too! Story
This gorgeous Shepherd mix girl is Laney. A girl with a striking, unique coat and some freckles on her face is quite a showstopper, getting lots of attention wherever she goes. Laney is a perfect age, just over 5 yrs. old, and needs a family to love her. She walks well on a leash and enjoys her walks. She LOVES to be brushed and she will lay on her back for you to brush her belly. She would love a nice yard so she can spend time outside. She is good with other dogs that she has met and is fully housetrained. She has done beautifully with the kids she has met. She is a fun, playful girl and enjoys playing with other dogs and stuffed toys. Her foster mom says she has perfect house manners and loves to ride in the car with the window down. She is a really special girl, and we know her new family will feel the same. You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.March 5, 2024, 6:19 am
