Story
Meet Charlie! She is a 1 year old Rottweiler mix, searching for her forever home.Charlie is an incredibly smart and curious young girl, with an ambition to follow her nose wherever it goes! When Charlie's owner passed away, she was brought into our care, and is now searching for a place to call home. As far as we know, Charlie is a Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix. These are both extremely intelligent and high need breeds. Charlie will need a TON of exercise and mental stimulation, because she is a very smart girl and she knows it! She is well trained in basic commands, but needs work on her leash skills. She can be weary of some men and may need time, space, and gentleness to warm up. For the most part, she is a friendly, excitable girl, so she can get a little jumpy at times!Charlie likes a stable home without frequent new guests, and would not be suitable for a home with small children due to her jumpiness and excitability. If you think Charlie could be a good fit for you, please fill out an application below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/*TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and drastically effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.* Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Points Weight: 32 Age: 1yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
🎉 Meet Chloe - Your Future Ride-or-Die Goofball! 🐶💕Chloe is a 1-year-old cutie pie with the soul of a comedian and the heart of a snuggler. She's playful, sweet, and just the right amount of ridiculous - the kind of dog who'll have you laughing one minute and melting into couch cuddles the next. 🎾🛋️Darling Chloe gets along with most dogs but can be selective. Careful, guided meet and greets are best for miss Chlo. She is not a fan of meeting new dogs with any type of barrier in between (gates, fences, etc.). She is super gentle and funny with little dogs! This led us to give her the nickname 'Auntie Chloe' when she plays with little ones. She lives for playtime - toss a toy, and she's all in. But when it's time to chill? Chloe is a pro at cozy snuggles and calm companionship. Whether it's a quiet evening on the couch or a backyard romp, Chloe's energy matches the vibe.✅ Working on Her ConfidenceChloe's been working hard on building confidence with new people-especially men. She may have some initial stranger danger (mostly with dudes), but she's getting better and braver every day. With a gentle approach and a little time, her true personality comes out: silly, affectionate, and absolutely devoted. 🐾💖🏡 Ideal Home? Here's the Wishlist:A secure yard - she's got some escape artist moves, so keeping her safe is key.A home that will continue her confidence-building journey with kindness and patience.Someone who wants a smart, playful, affectionate sidekick to share life with.Chloe is a total ham with a heart of gold. She's ready to bring joy, laughs, and lots of love to the right home.Car rides! This queen absolutely ADORES car rides. 👉 If you're looking for a silly, loyal, and truly special companion, Chloe is ready to meet you. Don't forget the treats-she's got excellent taste. Story
Genie is a pretty Shepherd X girl who didn't grow up around people for the first few years of her life. She's very healthy and her hips are great. When she trusts you, she’ll be happy to hang with you and even likes to be petted. She’s comfortable with most dogs. She needs a structured environment and a 6’ fenced secure yard. A dog door to a fenced area would be perfect, as a leash is a no-go, likely due to her roaming without a home for several years. Her perfect home would be with an older person that will offer her a low-key lifestyle. This girl would be thrilled to sit with you and watch TV. If you think you can offer Genie the home she’s been looking for, please give us a call. She fits the criteria for our Senior 4 Senior program as a permanent foster or she can be adopted to the right home at a reduced rate. Give PAWS a call to meet her.

Story
Hi, I'm Cruiser (you might remember me as Bruiser). We decided that it's not a very approachable name so are changing it. I'm is a very friendly, handsome Boxer/Bull Terrier X who is about 8 years old. I have a beautiful brindle coat with white markings. I'm a very sweet boy that loves attention! I've done well with my lead training and I know my basic commands. As I'm a senior, my adoption fee will be reduced. If you'd like to meet me, give PAWS a call at 250-428-7297. THINGS TO CONSIDER: I am NOT a fan of other dogs or cats. I'm doing better ignoring female dogs. I will need to be the only pet for now. A secure fence is a must. I'll need an experienced owner willing to continue working on the positive gains I've made.

Story
Remi is an almost 10-year-old Australian Shepherd X who's smart and listens well. He knows his basic commands. This boy has lots of energy for his age. He loves to have people to play with. Because of his age, Remi can be a bit grumpy when his patience is tested, so it's best he's in an adult-only home. He's a bit nervous on car rides but settles nicely. He has been with other dogs and, when introduced slowly, he got on well with them. He's been neutered and his shots are up to date. THINGS TO CONSIDER ABOUT REMI: - He can be dog reactive/selective (worse when on his lead). However, he gets along well with some of our resident pups. - He does NOT like to be over-hugged or over-petted. - He does NOT like to have his backside brushed. - He needs a secure, fenced yard. If you'd like to meet Remi, call 250-428-7279.
