Story
Duke just showed up at my door on March 15th 2026.. He slept on a rock on my carport even with putting a dog house and bed out.for him he refused to go in it, even during a storm. I have No idea about age or exact breed , but He is definitely a pit mix. Was so skittish, took weeks to get him to come to me to pet him , put a collar on., ect. He took almost a month to build trust to.come inside and even longer to come into a room , or get on the bed with the other dogs. He iwas scared of kids at fist, but has never growled or bitten, he just will run away to a safe space if he is uncomfortable. He doesn't like raised voices, loud noises and is deathly afraid of the leash. He must have been abused because he has trauma triggers, the leash being one. He is potty trained with a doggie door and would be good as an outside dog or inside w/ a cratr or supervision. Ha.separation anxiety and trauma when left alone, even with the other dogs as company he will chew on wood, furniture ect.

Story
Meet Fern, a heartworm positive 6-year-old hound mix weighing 55lbs. She's been patiently waiting for her forever home since December 2022. Fern isn't just your ordinary pup - she's a bundle of sweetness, happiness, and silliness all rolled into one. Her heartwarming smile and endearing personality are bound to keep you entertained and brighten your every day. Fern's love for play knows no bounds, and she thrives when she's out running and having a blast in the great outdoors. She is very strong walks good on a leash but is quite the puller, but is working hard to be better. Fern would enjoy a big yard with no other animals. This lovely lady is not just fun; she's also incredibly well-trained. Fern is a champ when it comes to potty training, crate training, and using a doggie door. She's diligently working on perfecting her leash skills, too. For Fern, a securely fenced yard is the ideal playground. She prefers the company of male dogs and would be thrilled to meet any potential housemates to ensure a harmonious match, and would need to need to go to a home with no cats or loss animals due to her hound dog tendencies. *Not good with female dogs*
