Story
Panda – ID #18498 – Kennel #854 Arrived April 24th as a stray – Border Collie Mix – Black & White – Female – 2 years old – 40 lbs – Will be spayed prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative Meet Panda — a strikingly beautiful black and white Border Collie mix with the most gorgeous markings and a sweet, gentle soul that is impossible not to fall in love with. This lovely girl was found as a stray on April 24th with no one to come forward for her, and she now waits quietly and patiently in Kennel #854 for someone to recognize just how truly special she is.   Panda sits beautifully for her treats and walks like a dream on leash — a well mannered, composed girl who is wonderful with children and carries herself with a quiet grace that speaks volumes about the kind of dog she is. She is the kind of girl who makes you wonder how she ended up in a shelter at all, because everything about her says she was made to be someone's most treasured companion.   At just 2 years old Panda is in the absolute prime of her life — young, healthy, and beautiful, with so many wonderful years still ahead of her just waiting to be spent in a loving home. She is heartworm negative and up to date on all of her vaccines, and she will be spayed prior to adoption — completely ready for the fresh start she so deeply deserves.   If you have been looking for a sweet, gentle, strikingly beautiful girl who will settle right into your family and love everyone in it with everything she has, come meet Panda in Kennel #854. She is ready for her person — and all she needs is for that person to come find her. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
We'll also keep you updated on Winston's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Meet Winston, he is a little guy with a huge personality. Winston turned one in April 2026, he does great with kids, other dogs, and cats. He came to us at 8 months old and had never been outside, and only potty trained to puppy pads. He is now mostly potty trained to outside, he is still learning so will need frequent trips outside until he is use to his new environment, but has come a long way and is a fast learner. He is being rehomed due to no fault of his own, we have an older dog that does not like him and has show aggression towards him, so we feel its best to find him another home where he is safe. We love him very much and he truly is a great dog, we want him to find the best home.
