‘Z’ THEMED PUPPY:  Approx. 2 months old / Approx. 5-6 lbs. & growing Hi there! I’m one of the adorable ‘Z’ themed puppies who made my way to Mostly Mutts thanks to a kind-hearted Samaritan who rescued me and knew I deserved a good start in life. I’m so grateful for that chance! I’m in a wonderful foster home now where I’m learning, growing, and getting ready for the best part – finding my furever family! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I love my siblings and have met bigger adult dogs in my foster home.  I like them and am figuring out how to play with them, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids in my foster home yet, so let’s meet, and it’s best I don’t live with toddlers who could fall on me.  I also prefer not to be picked up or hugged.            • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a fun little pup, full of playful energy and all the silly shenanigans you’d expect from a youngster like me!  Though I’m not one to enjoy being held, I do love being around my people! / My energy level is around 5-7 right now, of course this could change as I grow up. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy – so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / I sleep well in my crate at nighttime with one of my siblings, of course there may be an adjustment once I’m in my new home.  I’ve not gone #2 in my crate, so yay me and sometimes I like to go in it and take naps after playing. / I’m at the beginning of my potty training, so I’ll need my family to be committed to potty training me in our yard – stay close to me as I’m tiny and the birds of prey could take an interest in me. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love playing with my sibling and I have a more vocal/growly playstyle. I’m ready to have lots of fun and discover a lot of things we can enjoy doing together as I like being with my people. / I’ve learned that being held isn’t really my thing, and hugs are a hard pass for now.  When someone picks me up or hugs me, I get uncomfortable – sometimes I even start shaking.  And if I’m in full zoomies mode, I might grunt or fuss if someone tries to pick me up. I’m much happier keeping my paws on the ground and showing affection that way!  I’m also sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough encouragement, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and neutered. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    December 5, 2025, 6:58 am

Story
AN ADORABLE FRIEND:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 21 lbs. & needs to lose weight Hi, my name’s Palmer!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I’m so happy to be here getting all the love and good care that I needed (see medical section below). I got to spend some time in a temporary foster home and enjoyed that very much and now I’m back at the shelter dreaming of finding my very own family!  The shelter is a bit stressful for me, so hopefully I won’t have to wait too long.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I spent the Thanksgiving holiday in a great foster home and got along just fine with the older dog who lived there.  We just sniffed each other and went about our business.  If you have a nice doggy at home that isn’t looking for a playmate, let’s meet! / I was curious about the kitty in my short break foster home, but they were not interested in me, so we co-existed together well. All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would be with another cat. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a super sweet guy with a fairly laid back and chill personality.  The volunteers also say that I’m happy to be with them, cuddly and adorable, and that I’ll bring lots of joy to my new family.  I was curious and well-behaved in my temp. foster home, happily showing off my friendly demeanor. / My energy level is 4-6 (a little lower in my temp. foster home).  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I was familiar with both the ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ command in my temp. foster home, and I look forward to learning even more!  Check back soon to see what I have mastered. / I’ve had good crate manners, both at the shelter and in my temp. foster home. / I’ve only had a few accidents on the shelter schedule and had good potty habits in my temp. foster home, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I have a great sniffer and love to explore my surroundings with my nose, so let’s go on some ‘discovery walks’ together.  Not only will it be fun, but it will also help me drop a few pounds, which I need to do to reach my healthy weight. I love long naps and all the cuddles that come from being with my people! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I’ve just had a dental cleaning, so my mouth is fresh again! I’m on the green bean diet at the shelter to help me lose some weight and I take an over-the-counter joint supplement which is good for all older dogs. The shelter is a bit stressful for me, so I’m taking an anxiety medication that I think I’ll be able to wean off once I’m settled in my new home.  I had a large lipoma/fatty mass on my neck, and it has been removed and my fur is starting to grow back in that area now.  I’m not wearing a collar yet, but a harness while I continue to heal.  I also have a grade 2 heart murmur that doesn't need medication at this time.       I am looking for a great family to give me a loving, furever home!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 5, 2025, 6:37 am

Story
A SWEET GIRL WHO IS ‘ALL PUPPY’:  Approx. 5–6 months old / Approx. 29 lbs. & growing Hi, my name’s Licorice – a darling puppy who is as sweet as my name!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and the volunteers are making sure that I know I am loved and safe.  Now, I hear it’s time for me to find a loving home of my very own, where I can be a great companion to a lucky family! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a growing puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet and best no very young kids that I may bump over or be a bit too playfully mouthy with.          • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a bouncy, happy and sweet pup who just can’t get enough fun time in the play yard with the volunteers.  I’m super friendly and always ready for fun.  Baths are … well, a little scary when that sprayer comes out, but I did much better when the water was turned down softer, and I even sat nice and still for the shampoo part. Everyone says I have beautiful shiny fur and the sweetest eyes, and I love looking up at you like I’m listening to every word. / My energy level is 5-7+. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I have mastered the ‘sit’ command thus far. I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to pull at shoes and pant legs, etc. so we’ll all be happy - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I’m still a puppy who is polishing up on my potty manners, so I've been having accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  In the play yard, I love zooming around as fast as my paws will take me!  A fenced yard where we can have great play sessions together as I grow would be wonderful in my new home.  If you offer belly rubs (my favorite), I will accept them all day! I also enjoy Nylabones. A super sweet and fun pup, I just want to love and be loved. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    December 5, 2025, 6:14 am
