Story
Hi. I’m Marley. Two years old. Sixty pounds of sunshine wrapped in a Labrador-shaped body. If friendliness were an Olympic sport, I’d be on the podium wearing a gold medal and kissing every judge. I love people. Big people. Little people. People who throw tennis balls. People who don’t throw tennis balls but should reconsider. Playtime? Yes please. Fetch? Absolutely. Zoomies? Buckle up. I’ve got that happy-go-lucky Lab energy that turns an ordinary Tuesday into a backyard carnival. Now, I do have one small request for my future kingdom. I’d prefer to be your one and only furry superstar. Other dogs just aren’t my thing. I like my spotlight nice and undivided. And I’ll need a fenced yard so I can stretch these legs safely and show you my award-winning sprint form. In return, you’ll get: • A loyal shadow • A professional cuddle consultant • A daily dose of laughter • And a heart that is 100% yours If you’re looking for a best friend who greets every day like it’s a celebration, I’m already packing my imaginary suitcase. Love, Marley If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.

Story
Lily 3–4 Years Old • Female • Great Dane Mix • 100 lbs Meet Lily — a gentle giant with a big heart and an even bigger love for attention! At around 100 pounds, this beautiful Great Dane mix is full of personality and charm. She’s incredibly smart and eager to connect with her people, making her a wonderful companion for someone ready to give her the love she deserves. Lily thrives on affection and enjoys being part of the action. Whether it’s learning new things or soaking up belly rubs, she’s happiest when she’s with her humans. She seems to prefer male dogs over female dogs, so a meet-and-greet will be required if you have other pups at home. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown, but she may do okay with proper introductions. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and loving best friend in a stunning Great Dane package, Lily might be your girl! If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. Story
Meet River Five years old. Fifty one pounds. Pitbull mix. Certified goofball. River may be deaf, but she is fluent in joy. She doesn’t hear the world, she feels it. She watches your face like it’s her favorite show. She reads your body language like a love letter. A little hand signal, a big smile, a gentle touch, and she lights up. Communication with River becomes something special, almost secret. A quiet little language that belongs just to you. And goofy? Olympic level. She will toss her toys in the air for her own entertainment. She will bounce with pure, unfiltered enthusiasm. She has that perfect blend of playful sparkle and couch-snuggle sweetness. One minute she is zooming around the yard, the next she is leaning into you like you are her whole safe harbor. River does wonderfully with big dogs. Small dogs make her nervous, so she is asking for a home without tiny canine roommates. She has previously lived with cats and done just fine. And car rides? Absolute bliss. Windows down, ears flopping in the breeze, big happy grin on her face. The world may be silent to her, but adventure is loud in her heart. If you are ready for a loyal, affectionate, wonderfully silly girl who will watch you like you are the most important thing in the universe, River is ready to make you her everything. All she needs is someone willing to speak her language. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. Story
Hi. Frankie here. Yes, that Frankie. The handsome one with the brains, the manners, and the squeaky toy addiction. Let me introduce myself before someone else tries to steal my spotlight. I’m a 1.5-year-old, 55–60 lb neutered gentleman, which basically means I’ve graduated from Puppy University but I still like recess. I’ve got the perfect mix of let’s go on an adventure! and let’s never move from this couch again. Outdoor stuff? I’m your guy. Hiking trails? I will lead the expedition. Fresh air and exploring? Sign me up faster than you can say “Who’s a good boy?” But once we get home… watch this transformation. Adventure dog ➜ Professional Couch Snuggler. It’s a rare talent. My only condition is that my squeaky toy must be invited to the cuddle session. It’s part of my emotional support team. People say I’m extremely well-mannered. I try my best to be a very good boy because I’m also super smart and love learning new things. Got treats? I learn even faster. Coincidence? I think not. Dog-wise, I do well with female dogs. Cats? I’m curious about them. They’re like tiny mysterious roommates. With slow, proper introductions, we might become friends… or at least respectful coworkers. So here’s my dream situation: • A human who likes adventures sometimes • A comfy couch for quality snuggle time • Maybe a nice lady dog friend • A squeaky toy (non-negotiable) • Someone who appreciates a smart, sweet, well-mannered guy If you’re looking for a hiking buddy, couch companion, and all-around good boy, I’m already practicing my “Let’s go home” tail wag. Come meet me. I’ll bring the squeaky toy. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. Story
Meet Obie 6-year-old Samoyed/Husky Professional Snow Enthusiast. Full-time Fluff. Hi. I’m Obie. Yes, I woke up like this. I’m what happens when a cloud and a snowstorm fall in love. I’ve got the Samoyed smile, the Husky sass, and enough floof to insulate a small cabin. If shedding were an Olympic sport, I’d bring home gold, silver, and a consolation ribbon just for dramatic effect. Let’s get one thing straight: No kids. I prefer my kingdom calm, my humans grown, and my schedule free from sticky fingers and surprise tail tugs. I am extremely friendly, but I like my friendships mature and mutually respectful. Think cozy coffee shop energy, not daycare at recess. Now… snow. Snow is my religion. Snow is my hobby. Snow is my personality. When the flakes start falling, I transform into a majestic winter wolf poet. I zoom. I frolic. I dramatically fling my face into drifts like I’m filming a nature documentary called “Fluff of the North.” If you enjoy winter walks where your dog looks like he was born to pull a sled across Alaska, I am your guy. Personality highlights: • Extremely friendly • Loves people • Probably judging your snow shoveling technique • Will happily accompany you on brisk adventures • May sing the song of my ancestors if properly inspired I would thrive with an adult home that appreciates big personalities, bigger coats, and the occasional husky commentary. Give me cool air, snowy days, and a human who understands that I am both majestic and mildly ridiculous. Adopt me, and winter will never be boring again. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. Story
This sweet boy came to us extremely emaciated! He was only 47 pounds when he arrived. We are working on getting his weight back up. He loves to run and play. Loves any kind of attention whether from an adult or a child. His back end never stops wiggling and if you know Rottie's you know what I mean. Unfortunately, his previous owner didn't care for him properly and it shows. He is roughly 3 years old and looks like a pup. There isn't a mean bone in this boys body!
