Hazel is a beautiful 8-year-old Border Collie/Husky mix with one of the most striking features you'll ever see—her gorgeous mismatched eyes! One blue and one brown perfectly capture her unique beauty and gentle spirit.
Don't let her Husky and Border Collie heritage fool you, Hazel has fully embraced the relaxed life. She's happiest spending her days lounging around, soaking up naps, and enjoying the company of her family. The one thing that always gets her excited? Dinner time! Hazel prefers to graze throughout the day and does best with slow feeding, happily taking her time to enjoy her meals.
Hazel is a wonderful family companion who gets along well with cats, children, and most dogs. She can sometimes be a little dominant or territorial with female dogs that are her size or larger, but with proper introductions and guidance, she can do very well. She has so much love to give and enjoys having furry friends around.
This sweet girl has excellent manners and already knows sit, stay, and roll over. She's eager to please and appreciates praise just as much as treats.
Above all else, Hazel is an absolute sweetheart. Belly rubs are her favorite thing in the world, closely followed by kisses and spending time with the people she loves. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate best friend who will happily keep you company through life's quiet moments, Hazel is ready to fill that role with unconditional love.
At 8 years old, Hazel has the perfect balance of maturity and affection. She still enjoys life's simple pleasures but has left the puppy chaos behind. She's ready to spend her golden years in a loving home where she can be cherished just as much as she'll cherish you.

For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. We are located in an overpopulated area surrounded by high-kill shelters.
Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, heartworm test (6 months and older) microchipped and flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
