Story
Macy came to live with us after a 6 month stay at the Humane Society of South Mississippi. She was very shy and anxious from the very start. Over time she warmed up to her female care provider, but was very afraid of her husband. She would bark aggressively and avoid him at all costs and would charge him when he turned his back. She even nipped his ankle and leg a couple of times. She has a very long scar on her back and we have no idea how she came to have such a serious injury. She is only aggressive toward the male household caregiver and no other male visitors or caregivers where she is day bordered or overnight boarded. After seven years she has made some progress overcoming her hatred for the male caregiver, but not enough. She is so anxious around him and deserves a life free from that anxiety. She loves to run freely and would enjoy a home in the country.

Story
We had adopted Moose when he was 3 months old from a shelter. He is a good dog who means well. He has some social issues with other humans and dogs and definitely has anxiety. When he gets anxious he tends to bark and stress but once they’re out of sight it’s out of mind for him. He’s a loving dog that loves to chill around the house. Not to active though he does love to go on walks. He is also kennel trained and that’s his safe space where he can chill and relax. My wife and I are unfortunately moving to a different location where they don’t allow dogs and Moose here needs a loving family that is willing to grow with him.

Story
I got my dog in a wal mart parking lot. Shes about 9 years old. She needs a lot of space to run around and is very good at jumping fences. She hasnt jumped over 6 ft fences but a 3 foot fence she clears. she is aggressive towards animals especially ones who submit to her. Shes been getting jealous of my children and it has been hard for me to give her all the things she needs. I suggest not having her around children because she has no concept of her strength and can get jealous. Shes very loving and also loves to be chased. She also loves tug of war. She will escape and run from you to have you chase her. She is full of energy. She needs people who are able to give her a lot of excercise and play time. I love her so much so i'm trying to find her a great home to go to.

Story
Gordy is a fun loving, energetic lab mix, who loves affection. Gordys past living situation was outside, with many other dogs, and no vet care. Since Gordy has been rescued, he has been treated for mange, tick disease, and heartworms. He has made tremendous progress in his foster home, but is still very fearful of strangers. Gordy has a lot of personality, is a great communicator (you’ll always know exactly how he’s feeling), and plays well with other dogs, would also thrive as an only dog. Gordy gets very excited, so a home with small children or small animals will not work well for him. Gordy is about 60 pounds but thinks he is small and petite. He is neutered, walks well on a leash, knows some basic commands, and is completely house trained (those are great accomplishments in such a short time). Gordy lives for playtime and snuggling with his person, he does not like to be in a kennel. He will attach himself to the person he trusts, but this will take some time an effort to gain, but he is worth it! If you are looking for a lazy dog, he will not be the one for you. If you are looking for a best friend who adores you and is always ready to hang out, Gordy may be your perfect fit!
