Story
We adopted Bobo at a shelter in Boise Idaho at 9 months old. He was found in CA, lost. He was so excited to find a home We got him to be a companion to our Pitbull mix. They get along great. He is a loyal protector of me, a woman. He goes where I go, sits and waits 24/7. He lives to protect. He is a GUARD. He would most likely guard children, or animals too. He has a bark that will detour any criminal. He looks like a Black Mouth Cur, which he may be. However, his DNA says 1/3 German Shepherd, Rottweiler, and other hunting breeds. He is very sweet. Yet very serious. We thought about calling him Carson, the lead Butler from Downton Abby because he's a boss and has expressions like Carson. He's big, his head reaches 32 inches, so he can grab off the kitchen counter. He is very stubborn, a trait of Black Mouth Curs. That may not be a bad thing. He needs to be walked more We are old with health issues. I hope he goes to a younger woman who needs a protector, and will walk and love him.

Story
Okami is a great boy, the only issue is that he has severe anxiety. Hes 4 years old, playful, has a good personality and gets along with kids, cats, dogs, and adults. He is destructive to the point where he's hurting himself in his attempts to escape. Hes destroyed a door, a thick metal kennel, a thick wood plank. We've tried letting him free roam when we aren't home but he still wants to destroy something. Financially I've recently had some hard hits, I have two children whom I have to put first. I love him dearly, but cant afford vet care, nor ongoing medication should a vet prescribe it. I'd love to see him in a home with someone who has the resources to properly provide a safe environment for him where he can live happy and loved ♡

Story
Sugar's 8 years young. She loves most people, is full of energy, and loves to run, and go on long drives. She is very strong, and needs a tough human who will be her boss. She's used to an alpha woman human leading her. But she loves men, too. Sugar is smart and understands much of the English language. We adopted her at the Humane Society in Walla Walla, Washington at a year old. She was found running the streets of Portland, Oregon. She needs a human who will walk her every day. She's good with cats, and most other dogs. She has never been around children, so I would be cautious. Sugar does NOT like to be held down, or hugged. Sometimes she tries to dash through an opened door to run. It'd be nice if she had a field to run and play in. She is a great watchdog. We need to move and cannot keep big dogs in the apartment where we need to live. Sugar needs to live a long peaceful life in a loving environment. Sugar will be the best friend, child or companion to any good mommy or daddy.

Story
Kona is a 7 year old, 70 lb Shepherd mix and a shelter employee and volunteer favorite! This big girl has got personality! A lover of long walks, hikes, and treatos! She`ll give a paw or two for cookies. She loves everyone she meets and shes easy on the eyes.So what`s the catch? Why do dogs like Kona get overlooked? With great personality comes quirks sometimes. For Kona, it`s resource guarding. Simply put, in the past when she has decided something is hers... she has defended her ownership of it fiercely. Whether it be high value objects or food items.https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogsGriffin Pond Animal Shelter 967 Griffin Pond RdSouth Abington Twp Pa 18411 Kennel License #2236That said, she has received some training to work with her resource guarding but would need to be continued in a new home. Her daily dog walkers speak volumes of her as being the easiest dog to walk in the entire kennel. As well as most affectionate! But remember , this is a controlled environment . She needs the same structure and routine in a home.Because of her past resource guarding, she would do best in a low traffic home without young children or other pets. Someone who has experience with canine resource guarding or can provide training for her would be of most benefit to her in a new home. Please give Kona the chance she deserves.

Story
Meet Wadoo, his bew picture is fabulous ! He needed a fresh look ?? Wadoos adoption fee has been generously sponsored by Kimberly Cocuzza, in hopes that will help him to find a home more quickly!Wadoo came to us as an unruly 6 month old puppy , ( typical of all puppies) . Unfortunately for him, He is now a black pitbull “adult” in the middle of the shelter system .Even at 6 months , we couldn’t find him a home, black pitbulls are the last to be chosen ??He’s currently 17 months old and has spent half of his life with us .Our handlers have worked with him on his manners but his unfortunate past has left him feeling uncomfortable with other animals .He would be a great companion pup for someone willing to help him continue his journey outside of the shelter setting .To meet this chunky boy , please apply here : https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogs
