Story
Hi!My name is Kane. I've been at the shelter for quite some time now, and I'd really like to find a home of my own. I have my own room here and the staff and volunteers love me, but it's not the same as being with a loving family of my own. I promise I'm a good boy. I love my people. I'm afraid of going outside, but we're working on it, and I'll come around.I'm a little pocket pup. I'm pretty small, but I'm totally cute, so that's covered. I come with some training techniques on making me more comfortable outside, and all of my balls go wherever I go. Oh yeah, did I mention I love tennis balls? They're my favorite. They pretty much keep me preoccupied. Sometimes I forget they're in my mouth. The staff will walk by my room and catch me snoozing away with the ball still sitting in my mouth, just like it is in this picture. Yup, that's me. I'm the tennis boy at the shelter. I told you I got the cute part covered. I was adopted once and was doing very well until I lost my momma. She loved me very much.I like a very low key home with very few people and distractions.Anyways, enough about me. I want to meet my new family and learn more about YOU! I promise I'll steal your heart.??Head on over to our website to fill out an application if you're interested in meeting me. You won't regret it.To meet me, apply here www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com/adopt

Story
I hear it time and time again about Apollo "this boy should be in a home, he's a man's best friend kind of dog, the sweetest boy in the shelter " yet nobody gives him a second glance . This boy is aging here, on April 5 , we will have had him two years . He was pulled from a homeless situation and now he lives in a kennel. While he's warm and fed and loved in the time that we can offer him, that will never replace a family . Please consider giving this "good boy " a forever home. I'm Apollo. I really don't feel like myself here at the shelter. I'm a little scared and not sure of everything happening in my surroundings. But, when I'm out of my cage, I relax and enjoy the company of everyone here. I really love when I can sit close to someone and cuddle." Apollo is very friendly and sweet. He has a lot of energy and enjoys walks, exploring, and playing. Afterwards, Apollo loves to sit by you and get treats, lots of belly rubs, and attention. Human companionship is his favorite thing. This special pup is eager to learn and even knows a few basic commands. He needs to work a little more on his leash manners; however, he does well with a harness. At this time, Apollo would do best in a home without other dogs, cats, or small children. Apollo is outgoing and wants to be the center of your world. He will definitely win over your heart with his snuggling skills. He's 7 years old and fully housebroken . If you would like to meet him, please apply here: www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com/adopt

Story
Tito has had a rough life. He was found abandoned in a crate inside a home, covered in his own filth and underweight. He was not alone in this, some of you may remember Angel who had to be rushed to the emergency clinic because she had a deceased pup stuck. Angel has since found her forever home, but Tito has not been as fortunate. Tito is still waiting for someone to give him a home. Tito was extremely on edge and defensive when he was found, which is understandable considering what he went through.Looking at him today, you'd never know what he had to endure. And while we have cleaned him up and gotten him to a perfect weight, some things take longer to heal. Tito has stranger danger. This simply means he doesn't trust people he doesn't know and he makes it clear. Considering what people have done to him in the past, who can blame him for having his guard up? Once he is won over, he is truly a big baby. He is so sweet and full of life.Tito is estimated to be around 6 years old. He knows basic commands. He can be selective with other dogs but the dogs he does like, he loves. He plays well with them, walks well with them, and respects their boundaries. Tito loves to play off leash in our play yard. Tito is also a big fan of hugs and cuddles.

Story
Dagwood is a 2 year old Bull Terrier. This spunky boy is very friendly with everyone he meets. He loves to run, play with rope toys, and has even shown interested in agility. He loves to walk on trails, with his nose to the ground the entire time. He also enjoys walking down the main road, though he does get a little excited when he sees other dogs dogs. Dagwood appears to be dog selective. No cats as he has a very high prey drive. Older children who can understand basic boundaries are preferred. Dagwood is also very housebroken. We are looking to place this boy in the best possible home for continued success. Experience with bull terriers or dog training knowledge would be a plus !Www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com/adopt

Story
Violet came to us after being tied to a fence post , in someone's yard , looking like she had just recently given birth or had previous litters multiple times over her short 2 years. This beautiful girl will never again have to care for anyone but herself and hopefully with the right family she will never again be faced with being left behind like she was easily disposable .Violet is a beauty queen. She has such a docile demeanor and a precious face .She's lovable and warms up quickly to new people. She was recently in a home where she did well with children and she's doing amazing with other dogs on premises .She does show some barrier reactivity and would need a little help overcoming that . We'd be happy to help you with getting over that hurdle. She's 2 years old and we are looking for a forever family to love this pretty girl. She's very friendly and sweet ! If you are interested in meeting her, please submit an application for approval .Www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com/adopt
