Story
Justin is the perfect mix of all things. He is inquiring.. yet reserved. He is playful.. yet loves to be a couch potato. Justin is a handsome boy.. but his personality is his best attribute. He can be caught rubbing himself deep into his foster brothers bed…to lounging in the afternoon sun. He is content to play quietly with his toys when his foster Mom has to be in a work zoom call. Justin isnt destructive…. His limited vision in his left eye does not slow him down one bit. But he can be seen stealing a plastic cup to fling around and cause a ruckus, guaranteed to make you laugh out loud! Justin truly loves other dogs, he says hello to his foster brother and sister first when he comes out of his crate.

Story
1/11/25 Piper has recovered well from her spay and we also received the great news that she is now heartworm negative. She does great on walks and doesn’t get phased by people walking by. A friend’s boxer visited and she did great with him. Her foster family is working on exposing her to new things. She is a southern girl and does not like the cold. Piper gets along great with her boxer fur-brother. She would do well with a family that has another dog because she is always following the other dog in her home. Piper loves toys that she can carry around in her mouth. She is able to be left alone during the work day and there is a dog walker that comes mid-day to let her out and feed her. Piper is going to be a great addition to a family. Apply today to give this girl a forever home of her own. 12/19/24 Piper arrived at her new foster home in Virginia on Thanksgiving evening. She has had a busy three weeks, including a trip to a pet resort to tell Santa her Christmas wishes. She has done well staying home alone with her foster brother, an older male boxer. Piper has also done well with visitors, including dogs. She loves to sit on your lap and give hugs. Piper loves balls and will often bring them to bed with her. Piper is scheduled to have some vetting updated and her spay completed soon. 7/13/24 Piper was found by animal control roaming the streets in search of food and shelter. She was quite emaciated and tired. Within a few days of receiving vet care and good quality meals, her personality began to shine. She has beat the odds and survived her life on the streets. Piper loves to give hugs! She is extremely gentle and longs for affection. The ideal home for her would have a fenced in yard. Any home would be lucky to share their life and love with this sweet girl.

Story
Milo is currently in a foster home and does well with the 3 resident dogs. He's in the process of being crate & house trained, in addition to learning basic house manners. Milo is a quick learner, takes corrections well, and is very food motivated! While Milo seems to have an endless amount of energy, he is also learning to relax and enjoy some quiet time. He loves to lay on your lap be the center of attention! This little goofball is a 6 month old puggle, and he needs a new home. Quickly, because his mom is crushing hard on this little dude!

Story
Say hello to Pippy! This sweet girl is around a year old, and she is more than ready to find her forever home! One of Pippy’s favorite things to do is shower you in kisses! She loves to be your shadow, and she loves to cuddle up next to you! As a cross between a basset hound and pittie, with 9% boxer, it is no surprise that Pippy is a 42 lb bundle of love! While she can enjoy being a couch potato, Pippy also loves to play and burn off some of her extra energy! She enjoys chewing on her nylabones, running around the backyard, and tossing her toys around! Pippy does shows signs of previous abuse, but holds zero grudges. Her definition of a great day is spending time with you, going outside (she loves to sun bathe but is not a fan of snow) and come back to you. She is eager to please and looks to you for direction. Pippy’s foster is working on basic training with her (including sit, paw, come, and leash training). She is not crated, but is gated in the house. Pippy’s foster suggests that she’d do best in a home where her owners aren’t gone for long hours. Pippy is good with kids, but doesn’t quite understand her strength and may knock them down. She is so worthy of her second chance and is the dog with bursting personality laced with so much love to give. If she sounds like your soul mate, you will not regret sharing a life with her.

Story
Banjo was out on the streets doing his best to get by. He will be making his way up to our coverage area because a whole bunch of people cared enough to help him. He is just about 2 years of age, fantastic with other dogs, and an overall sweet boy. We would love to have a foster or adoptive home waiting him as he is throughly enjoying the comforts of his temporary foster home. Putting him in boarding just wouldn’t be fair💔 Welcome to rescue, buddy
