Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.June Carter June Carter has been with us since she was rescued as a tiny 5-week-old pup from the Wind River Reservation. She has grown into a gentle, cautious soul who bonds deeply with women and thrives when she feels safe and understood. June doesn’t trust men and will not do well in a household with them, but with the right woman she becomes affectionate, playful, and loyal. She adores snowy adventures, quiet outdoor play, and the company of other dogs and cats. Because she is shy and takes time to warm up, we’re looking for a local foster-to-adopt home where she can adjust at her own pace. June lives with hip dysplasia, which is managed with daily supplements, and she will need a securely fenced yard for her active spirit. She is crate-trained, eager to learn, and does best in calm, structured environments. June’s perfect match is a single female adopter who will give her patience, consistency, and the chance to blossom into the loving companion she truly is. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Puffin was bottle-fed and raised with love alongside his sister Aurora. He’s grown into a confident, playful pup who is ready to take on the world with an amazing forever family. With his adorable markings and curious expression, Puffin resembles a small pit mix (breed unknown). He’s inquisitive, playful, and always ready to see what’s going on around him. Puffin loves: Playing with dogs of all sizes Hanging out with kitties Toys (especially if they squeak!) Car rides and new adventures Snacks and mealtime Snuggles and naps He is not fully potty trained yet but is litter trained and making great progress. He’s a typical happy puppy: energetic, affectionate, and ready to learn. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Orbit is a smart, loyal, and affectionate girl who loves her people and enjoys being part of the daily routine. She’s the perfect mix of playful energy and cozy companionship, happy to join you for a hike, a game of fetch, or to curl up beside you after a long day.   Orbit has great house manners, is fully crate-trained, and knows several commands including sit, down, shake, and come. She walks nicely on leash (especially when there are treats involved!) and has solid recall in calm, low-distraction areas. She’s also a big fan of chew bones, squeaky toys, and belly rubs.   This beautiful black-and-white girl thrives with structure and gentle guidance. She’s happiest in a calm home where her people are experienced and can help her continue to feel secure. Because she can be selective around other dogs and has not lived with cats, Orbit would likely do best as the only pet in the household. She’s not suited for a home with children, but will make a deeply devoted companion for an adult-only household that appreciates her affectionate, intelligent nature.   Orbit is a wonderful mix of fun, loyalty, and love. She’s looking for a person or couple who can offer her consistency, exercise, and lots of love. Once she bonds with you, she’s your loyal shadow, ready for every walk, road trip, or quiet evening on the couch.   If you’re looking for a smart, loving companion who will adore you endlessly, Orbit might be your perfect match. For more details, visit:  Foster to Forever Program Aurora She came into foster care at at LAWS when she was just 5 days old, after she and her siblings were found on the Wind River Reservation with no mama in sight and temperatures quickly dropping. Thanks to round-the-clock bottle feeding and endless love from her foster mom, Aurora has grown into a healthy, happy, thriving little girl and now she’s ready for her forever home. Aurora appears to be a little pit mix (exact breed and adult size is unknown), with the sweetest pink nose and soft, soulful expression that just melts you. She’s gentle, affectionate, and loves being close to her people. She loves: Dogs big and small Kitties Toys and exploring Car rides (she’s already a great little travel buddy!) Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Yeti This young Heeler mix is bursting with curiosity, joy, and energy!  Yeti has a classic Heeler personality: playful, smart, people-oriented, and eager to please. He loves being near his humans, enjoys toys and treats, and is already picking up training quickly. While he’s still working on house training and leash skills, he’s crate-trained and responds well to structure, especially when treats are involved! He’s a great eater and handles a variety of foods with no issues. He’s doing well with the dogs in his foster home (including a blind pup!) and would thrive with another playful dog to keep him company. He’s a bit unsure around kids but calms down quickly with gentle energy. Cats are unknown. Yeti is still getting used to being touched, so he’ll need a patient adopter who can gently continue socialization and build trust. Yeti is not a calm, cuddly lapdog, he’s an active, social companion who needs regular interaction and stimulation. If you’re looking for a quiet pup who sleeps all day, he’s probably not your guy. But if you want a hilarious, high-energy sidekick to explore the world with, Yeti might just be the perfect match. He’s done great on car rides and is eager to be your ride-or-die adventure buddy. Yeti is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and in great health. He’s looking for a home that understands working breeds and is ready for the rewarding, fun challenge of raising a smart, energetic pup. ** Yeti came to us as a young puppy from a reservation in South Dakota. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucky Day Lucky Day is a shining beacon of hope, love, and justice, sure to brighten the lives of everyone he meets. This adorable puppy is playful, cuddly, and smart. He delights in reminding his foster family, including the reluctant elderly Chihuahuas and aloof house cats, that life doesn’t have to be so serious. Lucky loves to initiate games of chase, keep away, or tug-of-war, followed by snuggles and cozy power naps. Although his housemates often show little interest in his playful antics, he quickly picks up on social cues and respectfully keeps his distance. Beyond his cheerful demeanor, Lucky is perceptive and empathetic. True to his name, he was born to be a star and has already mastered commands like "sit," "shake," "other paw," and "lay down." We are currently working on "sit pretty," "wait," and "play dead." Lucky was given his fitting name because he came to us with bowed front legs due to malnutrition. After overcoming this challenge, we are delaying his neutering until our veterinarians can evaluate his hip health. If you’re ready to welcome this little amigo into your life, submit your application and get ready to be swept off your feet! ** Lucky came to us as a young puppy from a shelter in Rock Springs WY.
