Story
** work in progress cat **I`m Carbon, a handsome black cat with a hint of `smoke`, and luxuriously long fur. I enjoy being near you and will quietly follow you around like your own shadow. I keep you company in my own gentle way. Although I`m not that into laps, my foster has started to pet me. I love bird-watching from the window. And I LOVE playtime. I`ll use my scratching post, then stare at you until you play with me. Oh, and I think treats are great, always handy to know while I`m acclimating to new surroundings. Also - if you have a mouse problem in your house, I`m your guy! Real mice are even better than toys!I am a `work-in-progress` cat. When I first came to Carmah, I was extremely shy but the volunteers saw possibilities in me. My foster and I have been making progress together. I want to find a home where I have the space and time to continue the process. When I first move to your home, I will probably hide while I get used to household rhythms, smells, sounds, and routines. I will slowly come out of my shell as I learn to trust you. I may always hide when new people arrive, or I might start to enjoy their company as well. I will reward your patience with loyalty and companionship. If you’re looking for a calm, low-maintenance companion who will keep you company without being overly demanding, I am the perfect match.

Story
We are Maurice and Robin, bonded brothers looking for a home together. We love watching the world from the window, exploring the house, and napping on the couch.I`m Maurice, more outgoing. I happily come to you for attention and pets. Robin is my sweet shadow, still building confidence, but always happiest when he`s close to me and following my lead.We both enjoy the company of other cats. Children would be fine, as long as they are patient and respectful.

Story
** Needs a young cat buddy **I`m Aphrodite, a sweet girl who loves to play. I may start off a little withdrawn; I warm up quickly, though. I`m great with other cats and dogs! I would love to be adopted with my cousins Vulcan and Ares, if possible. But if not, I need a young cat buddy to grow up with.

Story
Twyla is a silky long-haired tuxedo beauty who looks like she’s always dressed for a gala but would actually prefer a quiet night in. She’s a shy girl at first, but once she feels safe, she turns into a sweet companion who likes to share space with you and possibly another calm, respectful cat (provided there is a proper introduction). She’s a great match for a quiet home that has regular routines and humans who understand that trust is built slowly (with treats and bird videos) and are not expecting a lap cat. Twyla enjoys observing the world from a cozy, safe spot (think: window perches, cat trees, or that one chair no one’s allowed to sit in). And she's a big fan of BirderKing on YouTube! Twyla is not a fan of hands coming straight at her face like a UFO. But if you gently approach her neck from the side and offer a good neck skritch then she will purr INTENSELY like a tiny motorcycle of happiness. (Check out her video!) It’s her way of saying, “You have done me right, my guardian.” To meet Twyla in her Newton foster home, please fill out a quick pre-screen by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://bit.ly/3yRGpMD
