Story
Hello! I'm Meadow, it's nice to meet you! I am a sweet, spunky, and funny gal that loves meeting new people. I am super cute and everybody loved when I'm silly and show off my fluffy tummy. I need a very cat-savvy family as I can be particular about recieving love. I would not do well with kids in the home as I don't like being handled too much. I would be okay with another cat in the home as long as they respect my space. If you think you can handle me and all my purr-sonality, come to the shelter to meet me!Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. The best way to get in touch with us is by email: info@secondchancespca.org. Due to the volume of calls, only the most urgent calls will be returned. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Story
This beautiful boy needs a new home due to the death of his owner. He would do best as an only cat, but he does get along with other cats. We don't know about kids or dogs, ss he has never been around either. He is 10 years old and has no health problems. He LOVES to be brushed and petted!

Story
Dawn is a gorgeous DLH black, gray, and white tabby female born approximately 6/10/2021. Dawn is a beauty queen who is happy to be more settled down now! She's raised 5 beautiful kittens and may have had a previous litter. She seems to have had a home at one time because she loves the pampered lifestyle, but was out on her own for a while. She's ready for regular manicures and brushing. Dawn is very shy with new people, so will just need some time to become comfortable. She does love other kitties and would be happiest in a home with another kitty companion. She and another kitty in her foster home, Jeanie, are a bonded pair and would like to be adopted together. Dawn is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.April 21, 2024, 10:34 am

Story
All of our cats are current on vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV) , spayed/neutered, microchipped, given rabies vaccine as age appropriate, flea treatment and dewormer as needed   Peanut, approx DOB 11/17/19, was abandoned when his previous owners moved out of their apartment. Fortunately, he found a feral colony that was being fed to hang out with, but the outside world was no life for him. To make matters worse, he ended up with a horrible ear infection while he was outside which resulted in him becoming mostly deaf. He can sometimes hear really loud noises, but we estimate his hearing loss to be about 80-85%. Additionally, since he was abandoned, he is very slow to warm up to people and trust them, but he absolutely adores other cats and is very dependent on them. For the most part, he does not even want to eat unless he has a friend to keep him company. Peanut will be looking for a quiet home with at least one other very cat-friendly cat to be his BFF. Peanut's favorite activities are lounging around looking regal, playing with track ball towers, and getting wet food. He really enjoys being petted, but can still be a bit shy to accept the pets until he realizes how awesome they are .  T-AW**Want to adopt? Story
** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Lina Hilstad;  Linavlira@gmail.com;  425-308-0052  ** Samantha (Sam/Sammie) is a long hair domestic cat. She is approximately 14.5/15 yrs old. She’s super affectionate and wants to cuddle all the time. She likes to sleep with her human, sometimes even under the covers. And she hugs you when she does sleep under the covers. It’s super sweet. She likes to purr a lot, and when she’s super happy, she tends to drool a bit as she nozzles  her human. Samantha is shy at first, but after a short warming up period, she will love on you all day long. She is a perfect lap cat.  Samantha will do better as a single home cat with no kids. She is the queen and needs to have control over her dominion. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots.  Her vet is Animal Hospital of Rowlett- Dr Wawak. I need to rehome Samantha because I had a baby in October, and 2 months prior to her arrival, Samantha started peeing outside of the little box. I’ve tried everything, changed the box, got her checked out to rule out UTI and other possible causes. I implemented Feliway pherormones and nothing. She’s acting out of spite, peeing everywhere. and I can only assume it's because of the new baby. It’s a difficult decision to rehome her, but I feel she will do better in a home with no other animals or young children. April 25, 2024, 6:53 pm

** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Amanda Quinn;  &#226&#128&#170469-430-8495 (text)&#226&#128¬  thequinnfamily09@gmail.com  ** Brindle is a domestic long hair cat about 2 years old and is a tortoiseshell in color. She is spayed and up to date on shots; uncertain if microchipped, but will check. She will be taken to the vet before adopted by her new owner to make sure everything is well. Brindle is a chatty, snuggly girl. Her favorite pastimes include: Telling stories Throwing tiny stuffed animals across the room and then chasing them Reminding you it's dinner time (she's helpful like that) Climbing to the highest spot in your house and presiding over her domain like a gargoyle Reaching for you with her paws as you walk by Snuggling in cat trees, boxes, blankets, or anything else that looks somewhat comfy Sitting on the arm of your chair Getting super offended when you're on the phone and not paying attention to her Brindle loves humans, but she doesn't like dogs and takes a while to warm up to other cats. When she first meets a new human, it's not uncommon for her to run and hide. However, she's very treat motivated and once she recognizes you as someone who will be nice to her and give her treats and pets, she's quick to get attached. April 25, 2024, 6:53 pm
