Story
Meet Fluff along with his brother, Bunny – A Purrfect Pair of Gentle Growing Boys. Looking for a double dose of fluff and fun? Fluff and Bunny are two handsome, long-haired bonded brothers who are still learning to love and trust, but are already pros at toy-chasing, window-watching, and bringing quiet joy to their foster home. These boys currently reside in their foster mom’s home office, sharing space with their kitten mentor, Dewey. While Dewey handles nap duty in the office chair, Fluff and Bunny keep themselves busy with tag-team tunnel chases and birdwatching marathons on “cat TV.” Fluff is the braver brother—curious, observant, and often the first to approach. He’ll perch below your desk with bright, wondering eyes or sit sweetly at your feet as if asking, “Is it treat time yet?” Bunny is more reserved—a quiet shadow who lets his brother take the lead. He watches the world from a safe distance, slowly soaking in trust one blink at a time. He’s not quite ready for cuddles, but he’s getting closer every day.  While they aren’t lap cats (yet!), Fluff and Bunny have made steady progress in foster care. With patience, consistency, and a peaceful environment, they’ll continue to blossom and may someday become affectionate, loyal companions. They love: Cat trees and cozy cubbies; Feather toys, catnip plushies, lickable treats, and ribbon chases; Watching birds and squirrels from a sunny window; Each other (they are a bonded pair!); The gentle guidance of a confident cat companion (like Dewey!)—though they’re also ready to run a castle of their own. They would thrive in a calm, cat-savvy home with adopters who understand that building trust takes time—and that love is sometimes quiet at first. Fluff and Bunny must be adopted together. If you’re looking for two soft, silly souls to grow with, these brothers are ready to start their next chapter—with a little purr-sistence and a lot of love. He has all his vetting, including being neutered, rabies, vaccinations, preventative flea & dewormer, and the siblings are combo tested. Want to meet Fluff, the gorgeous puff of a kitty? DON`T BE FOOLED, GOLDIE IS ONLY SHY AT FIRST WITH STRANGERS. SHE IS VERY AFFECTIONATE AND CRAVES ATTENTION ONCE SHE TRUSTS YOU! SHE`LL ENJOY A HOME WITH MODERATE ACTIVITY AND NOT TOO NOISY. SHE LOVES EVERYBODY, BUT EVEN THOUGH SHE`S ALWAYS NICE, KIDS SHOULD BE ABLE TO READ HER SIGNS IF SHE`S NOT COMFORTABLE ABOUT SOMETHING. LOVES HER SIBLINGS, CONSIDER ADOPTING ONE OF THEM AS A BUDDY! WILL DO WELL WITH OTHER CATS. SWEET, QUIETER DOGS ARE OKAY TOO.Yes, this gorgeous girl is a torti, but she only has a VERY mild case of tortitude! She`s mostly only fussy or bossy about insisting on getting your attention, and will go out of her way trying to persuade you to pick her up or pet her. Her diligent efforts and sweet meows will make it impossible not to give in. She will resist at first with new people, but will usually still let you pet her very gently to give you a chance. Once she trusts you she is suddenly incredibly affectionate! What a joy to see that you`ve been accepted! She loves lounging up high, it`s her preference, so have a tall cat tree or two around the house, one in the room where everybody is, and one by a window. She`ll enjoy any place that`s okay for her to climb to sit up high, like a space on a bookcase or cabinet. Sometimes you might not be able to find her and see that she has now found a safe cozy spot down low that feels comfortable for a little while. She might do this in the first few days while she adjusts. Goldie has spent her life with her siblings having lots of company and comfort when she needs it. She`ll do well, eventually being friends with other mellow cats, or even a gentle dog. With a big heart and sweet temperament, she`s sure to become your pride and joy!

Story
Beautiful like the sunrise and sunset, rising and falling at the start and end of the day. Skye, yes, Skye, that is my name! I am not shy to say that I am one GORGEOUS girl. I mean, just look at me. It is surely not a lie. With my fluffy brown and white fur, tuffed ears, and puffy tail, how not to see me as the kitty of the ball? I also have a bit of a unique look in one of my eyes. I have what is called Iris Melanosis. This is where the iris of my eye has become pigmented. Currently, there are no worries about it, however, my future family will need to keep it monitored by their vet. Other than my looks, I am also quite the sweetheart too, well that’s what my caretakers say! I love attention, and though I am not a fan of being picked up, I sure do love being surrounded by love. I am just unsure of being picked up off from the ground that I am used to standing on. I have had quite a crazy few months. I lived in a home my whole life, with a wonderful family; however, sadly, at the age of 12 years old, I lost my only family and have had to make a new one along the way. The caretakers at The Charming Cat Corner have definitely filled the role of my new family. Though it is temporary, and I love my caretakers, I am ready to find a new family, one that can give me the best home to spend my golden years in! Are you looking for a beautiful princess to have as a friend? A kitty to wait patiently for your attention? If so, don't look too far because I may just be the gal for you!

Story
Meet Charlie and Chessa! They went through a lot as babies. They’re doing great now, healthy, playful and curious. They are both skittish initially and when at the rescue awaiting adoption, they’re both terrified and super shy. That is NOT an accurate reflection of their wonderful personalities though. Chessa was adopted once, but was miserable without her brother. She barely ate and was super withdrawn for a few days. For the sake of her health, I took her back. Within an hour of being back with her brother, they were playing, grooming and chasing each other. We then decided it would be best for her and her brother to be adopted as a bonded pair. They both get along with other cats as well, as long as introduced properly and the other cat/cats are accepting. They both LOVE to play! Springs, balls, balled up receipts, and the pole with feathers at the end of a string. Charlie is super lovey with a BIG purr motor. He’s a bit goofy and loves to flop on you. Chessa is a bit more reserved, but will loosen up and enjoys being loved on and talked to. She will talk back. I’m pretty sure she has primary possession of the one brain cell because she has a very intelligent look in her eyes and she’s always watching. Her initial name was Chester, because I was told she’s a boy. They had just assumed she was a he because orange girls are rare. Needless to say, she then became “Chessa”. Both love to be on the bed with me, but Charlie will get under the covers for a cuddle. They just met my dog today and both were curious, but hissed (normal). My dog ignored them, so I’m sure that helped. They adjust well if given time. They’re wonderful and just need someone to give them a chance. You won’t regret it. Each is a good Ying to the others Yang.If you are interested in adopting please complete our online application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=lv2236&method=online_form_html&formid=43Adoption Fee for the pair is $250.00All kittens are fully vetted prior to being adopted, FVRCP, FeLV and Rabies Vaccines, FeLV / FIV Tested, Spayed / Neutered and Microchipped.Note: We are part of Texas Rustlers Guinea Pig Rescue - www.texasrustlers.com
