Story
Karina was living in a DPW parking lot. This poor baby had three litters of kittens outside, before PAWS could rescue her. She's extremely shy, but now, after a year, enjoys sitting near her loving foster mom, when she works from home. That's encouraging progress! Her best home will be with an experienced cat owner in a quiet home without other pets or children.

Story
What do you call a cat who doesn't want to be caught? Slippery Alma, It took 2 months to catch this wily girl who was comfortable being a friendly outdoor stray who'd walk up for a quick rub again your legs and dash off before you could touch her. One day she had a wound on her back so it was decided to get her in and looked at. one trapping attempt found Slippery sitting on the trap looking at the hapless stray inside, a young male who got rehomed. Switching to a drop trap caught yet another dirty fluffy girl of 11 who's very happy to be indoor kitty now. Finally once caught, Slippery Alma sadly had to go through a 4 month quarantine and we've been trying to socialize her for over a year. She could not safely return to the original spot next to Rte One. Slippery is about 7 years old. she was previously spayed and ear tipped. Adjusting to indoor life has been a slow progress but Slippery had loosened up and has been with a foster in small space so they get plenty of opportunity to meet and interact. Step by step over 4 months she has come out from under the bed, bravely eating while her foster was awake to rubbing up against feet to most recently rubbing up against an arm and purring. This is a huge step. Any adopter will need patience and expect her to regress while she rebuilds confidence. She's a quirky girl full of charm.

Story
Mr. Business is an energetic and curious 2yo cat who loves to play with the cat dancer and other interactive cat toys. He is not a lap cat, but enjoys affection during his calmer moments. When done playing, he will sleep peacefully or just relax, often seeming to enjoy having humans nearby. He will often rest at the top of a cat tree; in general he loves to climb and explore, so will likely need some redirection away from non-cat approved areas. He should be a solo cat in a family with some cat experience and no small children.

Story
I am Stelvia, a beautiful 13-year-old tabby cat rescued from outdoors. I was older and badly needed a dental but I was not ear tipped so I likely was someone's cat long ago, Until last month, anyone who tried to touch me risked being swatted at. My foster parents didn't force me to do anything I wasn't ready for; they let me get used to being around people, talked to me constantly and sneakily started petting me when I was facing the other direction. Their love and patience finally paid off! I DISCOVERED HOW MUCH I LOVE BEING PETTED! I stopped being so afraid when they moved their hands and legs near me! Now, I follow my foster mom around the house, sit next to her and purr for what seems like hours at a time! Who would be the perfect family to adopt me? A quiet pet free, adult household, An experienced pet owner who will be patient with me and understand my quirks - a late night conversationalist and I might still swipe when totally stressed Like many PAWS outdoor rescues, I was found to be FIV+ which is currently in remission, and I am active and have a healthy appetite. Won't you give me the chance to continue making my bond with people stronger than ever? I promise you that I will love you back 110%!

Story
I'm Lentil one of the many young outdoor boys who've found their way to PAWS and have been named after beans. I moved to a new foster home for extra socializing and I very quickly let it be known I did not want to be in a room by myself. I now have the run of the house and like hanging our with my foster family buddies. I'm still on the shy side with people so I need a quieter child free home and someone who knows how to to take slow and easy with me.
