Story
Chazz is a 9-year-old Dutch shepherd. He is intelligent, energetic, excited, loving and kind. He adores big open spaces, running and long walks. He loves to be right by your side as much as he can and does tend to suffer from some separation anxiety. That being said, I am away from home 10 hrs. per day, and he does fine at home alone until I get back.     As amazing as he is he does have his issues. Chazz does not get along well with other dogs. So, any living situation would require that he be in a single dog home. Additionally, he gets rather frightened when the smoke detector goes of causing him to shake and potentially get inside the bathtub.     Chazz is a quirky fella who is full of energy and youth even in his adult age. He would be best suited in a home with a large yard or even a ranch. He still responds well to training and listens quite well to commands. I’m positive that with some eager attention and care he would be an amazing hunting dog or ranch companion.

Story
Looking for you ride-or-die soulmate-the kind who sticks by your side through every season of life? Kennedy might just be your girl. She's a survivor with a heart of gold. In 2018, Kennedy was rescued from a shelter where she endured Hurricane Harvey in an outdoor cage, facing 140 mph winds. Whatever came before that storm, she's never let it define her. Kennedy is resilient, wise, and full of love. For the past six years, she's been more than a pet, she's been a steady companion, a hiking partner, a sunset-watching sidekick, and a quiet comfort during hard days. She's snuggled through tears, celebrated joyful moments, and made solo walks feel like shared adventures. Kennedy doesn't just live in your home--she lives in your heart. Kennedy's ideal home is peaceful and loving. She's not a fan of chaos or high-energy dogs, and she's grown less tolerant of small or bouncy pups. She'd thrive as your one-and-only or with other big dogs who respect her space and vibe. She is ready for her next chapter, a home where she can be someone's best friend, protector, and partner in quiet joy. If you're looking for a dog who truly sees you, Kennedy is waiting. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Kennedy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.May 23, 2026, 11:18 pm

Story
Tycho is a sweet, smart, stubborn boy. Any puzzle toys we've found last him no longer than 5 minutes, and he loves snuggle time on the couch. He's a big homebody, though also territorial towards strangers. We need to rehome him because he simply needs to have more interaction and more training than we can provide anymore, since he's developed some separation anxiety and some defensive behaviors because he just can't get enough energy out in a day. We're looking for a home that will be able to prioritize his activity levels and work on training with him since he really does want to be loved, he just doesn't trust easy. He is very particular about a lot of things, but also relatively well trained. We are more than willing to work with any interested parties to teach them all about him and his quirks, as well as make a slow, non-anxiety inducing transition to a new home.

Story
Hi, I’m GriffI’ve had a really rough start in life. I was found tied to a tree in terrible condition by one of the amazing volunteers, and that’s how I made my way to Apollo. I was scared, confused, and in need of medical care—but thanks to the rescue, I got the help I needed. I’m feeling so much better now, and the only thing left is a little bit of hair loss, which just makes me extra special.I was born in 201&, and I’ve already experienced abandonment and neglect. Because of that, the loud noises and busy environment at the rescue make me pretty anxious. But once you get to know me, you’ll see that I’m actually the cutest, quirkiest pup who loves to make people laugh and have fun.I’m looking for an active family who will love me, train me, and be patient while I continue to learn that the world can be a safe place. I’ll need understanding and kindness as I work through my past, but I promise I’m worth it.I’m neutered and up to date on all my shots. Right now, it’s hard to say if I’m dog reactive because the rescue environment is overwhelming for me. With time, a quieter home, and proper decompression, I may be able to tolerate other dogs—but slow, thoughtful introductions will be important. What I really need is someone willing to see past my rough beginning and help me write a happy ending. If you’re ready to give me that chance, I’d love to meet you.If you are interested in adopting, please copy and paste this link into your browser...https://www.apollosupportandrescue.org/adoptthisdog.htmlIncluded with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided.Show less

Story
Scout is a protective, loyal partner. He loves to run and is high energy. He would do great in a household that is active and will take him on walks, runs and hikes. Scout loves the water and jumps headfirst in our kiddie pools at the rescue. He is a very affectionate dog and loves to snuggle in bed under the covers. He clings to his owner with a bit of separation anxiety when owner is not around. In a home with little exercise, he can become bored and destructive. He is house trained and walks well on a leash. Since he has gotten older his energy is less, but he will still love walks and hike and then a nice soft place to nap. He was born in 2015 and is located at the Rescue. Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Story
Hi I`m Cali, I also go by Cali girl. I was born in 2017. I love to leap through the backyard like a kangaroo chasing after my Kong. We go to the lake and play in the water and take long car rides. I`m a great snuggler so much so I have to be the only animal snuggling. I`m great with kids, love to take long walks and chew on my peanut butter bones. I need a forever home where I am the only one being spoiled. At the facility I enjoy my time in the yard and long walks. If you love my ears in pictures wait till you see them in person!!Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heartworm preventative, heartworm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided.

Story
Hi! My name is Asia, and I am a 3-month-old female German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees/Lab mix (according to my dna test!) who may be the smallest of my siblings — but I definitely have the biggest personality! What I lack in size, I more than make up for with confidence, charm, and a whole lot of puppy spirit.I was born as a stray alongside my brothers, but thanks to a compassionate Good Samaritan, we were brought to safety and given the chance to grow up surrounded by love and care. Now, I’m ready to find a family who will adore my fun, lively nature.I’m the perfect blend of spunky and sweet. I love to play, explore, and keep up with my bigger siblings, but I also have a softer side and enjoy cuddling up when it’s time to recharge. I’m incredibly smart and already showing how quickly I can learn new things — which means I’ll thrive with a family excited to continue my training and help me reach my full potential.I do wonderfully with other dogs, love being around people, and I’m making great progress with potty training. With consistency and encouragement, I’m sure to grow into an amazing lifelong companion. ##2658205##

Story
Meet Malouk Malouk is a 12-year-old, 85 lb German Shepherd with a gentle soul, a loving heart, and so much quiet companionship to give. He came to us as an owner surrender after his person passed away. Over the following year, he wasn’t getting the care he needed, so he was surrendered to give him a chance at the safe, loving life he deserves. Now, he’s ready to find a home where he can truly be cared for and cherished. This sweet senior is blind, but don’t let that fool you — he navigates life with resilience and still enjoys the simple things he loves most: walks, naps, and treats (lots of treats!). Every now and then, he even gets a little playful spark. Malouk thrives in a calm, low-key home where he can feel safe and settled. He would be perfectly happy as an only pet, but he also does well with calm, respectful dogs and even cats who understand he spooks easily due to being blind. He is incredibly friendly with people and has a soft spot for kids, making him a wonderful, gentle presence in the right family. Because of his blindness, Malouk can experience some anxiety, but he does very well with calming medication and a consistent environment. He finds comfort in his crate and does best when crated while alone. He is potty trained, though he may mark indoors (he was only recently neutered), and belly bands have been a simple, effective solution. He will also need continued leash training, as he can pull — especially when he’s excited or unsure. Why you’ll love Malouk:• Gentle, loving senior companion• Friendly with people and great with kids• Enjoys walks, naps, and treats• Can live with calm dogs or cats (or be your one-and-only)• Crate trained and finds comfort in routine• Resilient and full of quiet love Malouk is looking for a peaceful home where he can feel safe, loved, and understood. In return, he’ll offer steady companionship, sweet moments, and a reminder that the best things in life are simple. Ready to meet Malouk? Apply to adopt here:https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/70992/generic Malouk is located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state. We coordinate safe transport and offer video meet-and-greets to ensure it’s the perfect fit. ##2647355##
