Story
Toby is a 5-6 year old, 90-100lb Shepherd mix who is looking for his perfect forever home. Toby was abused in his past and due to this will need a very specific family. He is very sweet and loyal with his people once he is bonded. Toby is looking for a home that has a fully fenced yard out of the city. Somewhere rural and quiet would be perfect for him! He prefers women to men and can take some time to trust men. His ideal home would be female only, but could do ok with a female/male couple if the man was patient and could build trust with him. Toby needs a home without kids and other animals. No other dogs or cats. Toby can walk fine on leash around other dogs but needs to be the only dog in the home. Toby loves to run and play and will love to spend time with his people in his backyard soaking up the sun and running around. Toby is neutered, UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200.

Story
Meet Daisha, a remarkable and resilient canine who has overcome unimaginable hardships. At just two years and six months old, this gentle soul weighs around 50 pounds. It's hard to fathom that behind those innocent eyes lies a dog with a heart full of love and impeccable behavior. Daisha's timid and submissive nature is a clear indication of the mistreatment she endured in her past. It took two whole days to capture her, as she had become an expert at crawling into corners and hiding in tight spots. On the day she was found, the weather was dreadful - with pouring rain and a bone-chilling temperature of 34°. Despite her physical discomfort, she limped through busy streets, desperately searching for shelter. It seemed as though she had recently given birth to puppies, but sadly, there were no little ones by her side. Today, Daisha has blossomed into a cuddly companion, finding solace in the warmth of human presence. She adores spending time with babies and little dogs, showcasing her nurturing side. However, her experiences on the streets have made her a bit more assertive around larger dogs. Nevertheless, she is playful and enjoys snuggling up on the couch, often falling into deep slumber due to her low energy levels. Daisha's impeccable leash manners and her adorable habit of greeting you with her paw demonstrate her eagerness to please. She has also mastered a few impressive tricks! For those interested in adopting Daisha, transportation is available every two weeks. And if you're a Canadian adopter, you can even meet her in Bellingham, WA. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . Meet Sugar!  This gorgeous and sweet girl was found in the streets of a very busy city with her partner (Cane) and her 9 puppies!!!!! This girl is not only extremely friendly, but an amazing mom.  She loves to cuddle and wants affection. Give her some tummy rubs and she'll be your best friend for life. She has a very well balanced personality and gets along great with other dogs and has learned to be okay with our cat.  She was never aggressive though, she just thought kitties were fun to chase. She is very smart and learns quickly. Her favorite things are toys, walks and spending time outside. She would love a fenced yard with a doggie door where she can come and go all day long if possible. She is housebroken, crate & leash trained.  She is fully vetted and ready to find her furrever home.  Her ideal family would be one with other dogs and children.  She loves to be around humans. A really great fit for any living situation. She is being fostered in Salem, OR and is available for meet and greets. Story
Animal Profile: Kimber is a beautiful 4-year-old, 54 lb female German Shepherd who was found wandering as a stray and taken to Everett Animal Shelter. When the shelter environment was too stressful for her, we gave her a "jail break" and she's now in our foster care. Kimber has been waiting for a forever home since November of 2021. Please share and help her find her family! Foster Update: Kimber is affectionate and bonds quickly with her person. She is looking for an adopter who is experienced with high-energy dogs and is willing to continue working with her. She loves lounging in the house watching out the windows. Her ideal home environment would be an adult only household with working breed experience and a securely fenced yard. Shes completed a 4 week board and train program with Lugaru K9 Training to address leash reactivity. Kimber can now walk nicely on leash, and knows the following commands: sit, down, place, heel and leave it. She's not a candidate for dog parks as she easily gets over aroused and needs slow intros to other dogs.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-applicationSeptember 29, 2023, 12:51 am

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Adoptable Junnie! Junnie is a 2 1/2-year-old, Malinois mix who is looking for his forever home! Junnie is a happy and sweet boy and loves to play and be active! He will require a very active family that has experience with working breeds. He would make a great running/ hiking partner and LOVES to play fetch. He needs to be mentally and physically stimulated so he would also do great with agility, games and nose work. Junnie is still learning how to socialize with other dogs and can be reactive and mouthy, as Malinois are, with other dogs. He needs to be the only dog in the home but with training and support could be fine around other dogs out and about. He will require a home with a fenced yard, no apartments. Junnie is not tested with kids but since he still needs to catch up on training and can be jumpy, he would be best in a home with older kids or adults. No cats. Junnie is on the wait list to be neutered and will be neutered prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $400.
