⸻ Meet Ryder! 🐾 Ryder is a loyal, expressive Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix puppy who absolutely loves life and can’t wait to explore the Pacific Northwest with you! An avid birdwatcher with an elegant stride, Ryder is an outdoor enthusiast who thrives on fresh air and adventure. At 6½ months old and 50 lbs, he still has just a hint of that irresistible puppy smell. Mostly jet black with touches of grey on his legs and between his toes, Ryder has ultra-soft, pointy ears, a healthy, sleek coat, and some truly hilarious facial expressions. His movement is just as entertaining—he takes his exercise seriously, especially his legendary “big stretch,” and is an impressive little contortionist with yoga-level flexibility. Ryder is an intelligent, curious boy with a strong nose and a blossoming love for following scent trails—he would be an excellent candidate for scent work or nose games in the future. He’s eager to please, highly food-motivated, and loves engaging with his people. Ryder loves: • Kong and Chuck It toys • Frozen lick mats and frozen snacks • Watching birds, bunnies, and squirrels in the park • Happy dancing when you get home • Riding in the car • Getting dried off with a towel after rainy walks • Snuggling up with you after a long adventure • Playing tug and chasing his ball (fetch is still a work in progress 😉) Ryder genuinely enjoys training and has already been working on heel, sit, down, place, and stay, and would love to continue learning with a committed adopter—rain or shine. Ryder’s foster, Matt, a professional trainer with Tailored K9 Solutions, has him enrolled in a Trupanion pet insurance policy, which may be transferred to the adopter at the time of adoption if desired. While all Malinois are remarkable dogs, Ryder truly stands out with his uniquely happy temperament, snuggly side, and endlessly entertaining mannerisms—he’s one of those dogs you simply have to meet to fully appreciate. Ryder is ready to find his forever home with a family as loyal to him as he is to them. Could that be you? Fenced yard required. 🐶 Meet Ryder today! Apply online: washingtonGSD.org

Story
Animal Profile: Looking for a partner in crime? Meet Felon! He's a neutered male Belgian Malinois that is around 18 months old, 55 lbs, and is ready for a person to call his own. Despite his menacing name, this boy is a bundle of joy in a svelte package. Felon loves to go at full speed and would be a fantastic companion for someone looking to get into dog sports -- dock diving, barn hunt, IPO -- he wants a shot to shine! In typical Malinois form, he is highly intelligent, loyal, and athletic. He shows moderate food drive and high toy drive and is an exceptionally quick learner. He does have an off switch and is content to chill on place command with a stuffy toy, or in his crate. Felon is very friendly meeting new people and has lived with other dogs as well as cats, but will be best in a cat-free home. Felon has a strong grasp of basic obedience training including recall, place and loose leash walking. With this foundation he's ready to shine with a family dedicated to providing ongoing mental and physical stimulation, structure and leadership.  Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Adopter Profile: Large breed dog experience required Working breed dog experience preferred Other dogs of similar size OK No small dogs or cats Secure fenced yard preferred Interest in training/dog sports  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, and microchip with lifetime registration. Felon's adoption will include a go-home training session to set his future family up for success. The adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 non profit organization. Animal History: Felon was rescued from a chain in Baton Rouge Louisana by Trample Dog Rescue and taken in by The Good Dog, who relocated to Bellingham. He is currently being fostered by The Good Dog Way in Bellingham and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. Potential adopters will need to be available to meet Felon in Bellingham, WA.June 17, 2026, 4:18 pm

Story
Meet Cairo (aka Big Dog) 🐾 Looking for a loyal sidekick, adventure buddy, and professional Velcro dog all rolled into one handsome package? Meet Cairo — a 4-year-old neutered Belgian Malinois with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Cairo’s story started rough. He was found wandering the Texas countryside as a stray, severely underweight at just 50 pounds and too weak to stand. Today, this resilient boy has transformed into a healthy, happy 65-pound goofball who’s ready to leave the dusty roads behind and finally find his forever home. At first, Cairo can be a little reserved and cautious while he figures you out. But once you earn his trust, you’re officially his person. From that moment on, he becomes the ultimate Velcro dog — following you from room to room, leaning against your legs, attempting to climb into your lap like he’s a tiny puppy, and giving dramatic sighs if you leave him alone for too long. Like a true Belgian Malinois, Cairo is whip-smart, intensely loyal, and always ready for his next job — even if he occasionally invents one for himself. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of everything you do, whether that’s hiking a trail, tossing a ball in the backyard, or supervising your every move around the house. Malinois fans know the breed’s magic: fierce devotion, incredible intelligence, and a bond that runs deep. Cairo brings all of that… plus a goofy streak that keeps life entertaining. He’s equal parts loyal protector and oversized clown. One minute he’s on neighborhood watch duty with his serious “I’ve got this handled” bark, and the next he’s prancing around with a toy in his mouth like the happiest dork alive. He’s expressive, hilarious, affectionate, and absolutely full of personality. The Good Stuff: Crate trained and happy to relax in his kennel Mostly house trained and learning routines quickly Dog-friendly with excellent play energy Smart, eager to learn, and highly trainable Loves tug, fetch, puzzle toys, and interactive games A Few Honest Notes: Cairo is looking for an adult-only home or one with older, respectful teens. Young children make him nervous, and he does best when his space and boundaries are respected. He also cannot live with cats, chickens, or other small animals due to his prey drive. What Cairo Needs: Cairo is looking for someone who appreciates everything that makes a Belgian Malinois special — intelligence, athleticism, loyalty, and that deep desire to be connected to their person. He’s not a “sit around all day” kind of dog; he thrives when he has structure, activity, and a job to do, even if that job is mastering puzzle toys or joining you on outdoor adventures. Give this boy guidance, consistency, and plenty of love, and you’ll get the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog people rave about. In return, Cairo will give you unwavering loyalty, endless laughs, and the kind of deep bond Belgian Malinois are famous for. If you’re ready for a smart, protective, hilariously clingy best friend, Cairo may be your perfect match. Apply today and give this big goofy boy the forever home he’s been waiting for. ❤️ Adoption only in Texas at this time $200 adoption fee

Story
🐾 Meet Waffles! 🐾 Age: 3 years old Breed: Belgian Malinois Mix Status: Spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions Waffles is a stunning, smart, and athletic Belgian Malinois mix looking for her forever family! At 3 years old, she’s past the puppy stage but still full of energy and enthusiasm. This girl is incredibly sweet and eager to please, but she will thrive best with a breed knowledgeable owner who understands both the mental and physical needs of a Malinois. Waffles loves a good game of fetch, and she’ll happily play for hours if you let her. She has had professional training, which makes her a fantastic partner for someone who enjoys structure, exercise, and continued learning. Her trainer is also willing to work with her new adopters should they like to continue her training. Like many Malinois, she has prey drive and will definitely keep the squirrels out of your yard. With cats, she’ll need slow, careful introductions. If they run, she may want to chase. She does well with other non-dominant dogs, but proper introductions are important to set her up for success. If you’re looking for a loyal, athletic, and intelligent companion who will love adventure as much as she loves downtime with her people, Waffles could be the perfect match. 💌 Could Waffles be your new best friend? Apply today and give this amazing girl the home she deserves! $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transportation to your area)

Story
I am helping my son find a new home for his puppy. Axle is a sweet 8 month old puppy that love belly rubs and cuddles. He is smart, understands his name, sit and lay down. He is a ball full of energy and gets along with other dogs. He is not great with cats, but it is trainable, since he has been around cats since he was 8 weeks old. He just wants to play, and run around. We unfortunately must give him up because we found out we are having a baby, which makes things financially tight for us. This is the hardest thing we have had to do but feel it is the right thing for Axle.
