In typical Malinois form, he is highly intelligent, loyal, and athletic. He shows moderate food drive and high toy drive and is an exceptionally quick learner. He does have an off switch and is content to chill on place command with a stuffy toy, or in his crate. Felon is very friendly meeting new people and has lived with other dogs as well as cats, but will be best in a cat-free home. Felon has a strong grasp of basic obedience training including recall, place and loose leash walking. With this foundation he's ready to shine with a family dedicated to providing ongoing mental and physical stimulation, structure and leadership. Animal Information: Mabel is an estimated 2-year-old, 60-pound female Malinois mix who wound up at the shelter as a stray. She had recently had puppies, and the responding officer believed she had been dumped in the area. When Mabel first arrived, she was very nervous and reserved in her kennel. With a little patience and encouragement from shelter staff, she slowly came out of her shell, and it didn’t take long for everyone to discover that she was actually a total lap dog! Mabel also did well in playgroups. She started off shy and unsure, but with a little time, she warmed up and began enjoying herself with the other dogs. When Mabel’s time at the shelter was up, we simply couldn’t say no to giving this sweet girl a chance at the good life here in the PNW.
