He’s great with kids playful, and loving. All I want is to give him a good home unfortunately we are unable to keep due to space and issues with our landlord. Our space is very minimal. Meet Fry, a 10 month old pug mix with the most adorable pout. Fry came in with his sister, Leela, and they were terrified of their new surroundings. At 10 months old, they were just experiencing walking on a leash for the first time. Now he is walking so well on leash, and loves to take nice leisurely strolls where he can sniff as much as his little heart desires. We’ve loved seeing him blossom as much as he has while here at the shelter. His playful side is starting to come out and we think he’d do great in a home with another dog! He may need some time to warm up when meeting new people, but a little patience and some treats sure go a long way! At this time, the shelter is requiring him to go home with another dog, to help bring him out of his shell and bridge his relationship to people! His sister Leela and him make an adorable pair, but if you have another playful pup at home that would work too! Fry follows the lead of the other, more confident pups, to show him that people are friends and not as scary as he thinks they are. This kiddo is cute as a bug…hence the name BUGSY! He is your typical pug, so sweet and goofy. This kiddo is a great walker, likes his toys, and gets along great with other dogs! He came in missing a lot of hair because he has a flea allergy and his previous family could no longer afford flea medication or his care. We got him started right away on flea meds and started bathing him every other day to get him back into tip top shape! Bugsy is paired up with a few pups and he just loves having friends! He is a cuddly guy who loves to get into your lap. We know this kiddo will make someone very happy! It’s a tough break, especially at his age, but Elmer hasn’t let it change who he is. He’s still a loving, easygoing, genuinely good dog who just wants someone to call his own again!Once Elmer gets to know you, he’s all in. He’ll follow you from room to room, always keeping tabs on you and happily soaking up any attention you’re willing to give. He’s affectionate, loyal, and just really enjoys being close to his person. He has a big heart and isn’t shy about wanting to be loved right back.Around the rescue, Elmer tends to hang back a bit and take things in. He’s not the type to push himself into the spotlight, but he’s always nearby, watching, waiting, and ready for his turn to get some love.
