Story
HI - I'M GABY! (My name is actually Gabrielle but my friends call me "Gaby".) I'm a 4-year-old purebred French Bulldog in need of a forever home. I'm stocky and cute and a lovebug! I was rescued from a crowded California shelter, and now am in a foster home, where I share my days with a couple other dogs, including my Frenchie pal, Juliette, who also needs a home. Like most Frenchies I'm adorable. When I look at you, I'll immediately make you smile. I love human attention and affection, love hanging out with my person or people and I love taking naps! I get along great with other dogs, though I can be a bit bossy if a dog is bossy with me. I have one cloudy eye, and the vet basically says there's nothing we can do, as it's something that may not improve (but I do not need my eye removed per the vet). But I get around just fine and am always on the move. I love to walk around and explore! When the day is done, I'd love to snuggle with you. I deserve the very best home with someone who appreciates Frenchies. Please email for an application.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Introducing Jazzy! She is a 15-month-old, 12lb French Bulldog who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. She is a super sweet and spunky girl! Jazzy is the life of the party and has a big personality ~ there is never a dull moment with her around. She does well with other dogs and would be an awesome additional dog to a home or be fine as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention which she so deserves. She has a lot of energy and a lot of love to give so we are looking for a home that can keep up with her and provide her with the care and attention she needs. Due to her energetic and bouncy nature, we are looking for an adult only home or home with older children. We are looking for a flat-faced breed experienced household. She will need a house with a yard, no apartment living for her. She is going to make an awesome and incredibly fun addition to any lucky household that adopts her. Jazzy is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $800.

Story
Animal Profile:  Biscuit was found wandering as a stray in So. Cal without a collar or microchip. He completed stray hold with one of our rescue partners, and made his way to Seattle on 1/26/25.   Biscuit hadn’t been well cared for, and needed to be neutered and have his cherry eye repaired. Unfortunately during his exam with our vet, it was discovered that he had a Grade 5 heart murmur. Due to the severity of the grade, we opted to skip surgery and Biscuit will be medically exempt from being neutered.    Meeting him, you’d never know he had a bum ticker. He’s playful, exuberant, and full of personality as Frenchies often are! Biscuit will need adopters committed to ongoing care, which may include medical management for his condition.  Foster Update: Coming Soon! Medical Notes: Biscuit has a heart murmur so we were unable to do his neuter and cherry eye repair. We recommend his adopter have Biscuit evaluated with a cardiologist.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Biscuit was a stray found in Hemet CA and arriving to DGS via our transport Wiggle Butts on 1/26/25. He will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care. April 30, 2025, 6:20 pm

Story
We are getting to know this Frenchton pair Chip and his brother Brady! They are just coming into rescue...As typical frenchtons, 4 years old, they are very playful, happy dogs. Love walks and car rides. Require a fenced yard. An active family that is familiar with the breed is best for them. They would be excellent for hiking partner as they do enjoy activity. They cannot coexist with a cat in the home, and need very slow intro to other dogs, smaller dogs would not be the best fit for them. Getting retrained on house manners a bit, as they have slipped off as their owner was very ill and their normal consistent routine was disrupted. We would prefer someone that works from home, or is home more than not for them. A family that loves the Frenchie-Boston breed! The first step is an application - Once reviewed you will be contacted. We match all of our dogs with the family that can best meet their needs. Consider foster to adopt with the right family. Chip is bonded with his brother Brady. Application can be found at CLbostonterrierrescuefoundation.org

Story
Meet Lovelie – your gentle, devoted shadow. True to her name, Lovelie is an incredibly affectionate pup who thrives on human connection. She’ll choose petting over treats every time and wants nothing more than to be close to her person, quietly following you from room to room. Once she warms up (she’s a little shy at first), she becomes your biggest cuddler, gently nudging in for love and curling up beside you for hours. Lovelie is as low-maintenance as they come indoors—happy to nap most of the day, content with a soft blanket and your nearby presence. Outside, she’s curious and polite, eager for potty breaks and the chance to greet friendly strangers with a sniff or a gentle lick of their shoe. She adores other dogs on walks but prefers her own space indoors and may not tolerate other dogs crossing her boundaries in the home. She’s potty trained, sleeps soundly in the bedroom, and communicates clearly when she needs to go out. She’s not a picky eater either—chicken, carrots, sweet potatoes, and spinach are all favorites (just hold the apples, please). And yes—she loves the mirror. Give her a moment to admire herself and tell her she’s beautiful—she’ll appreciate it. Lovelie would do best in a home where she’s the only dog, or with calm, respectful dogs who understand personal space. She’s sensitive, loyal, and endlessly loving—and will make a devoted best friend to someone who values quiet companionship and deep connection. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.
