Story
HI - I'M FERNANDO, a small and timid 2-year-old mix in need of a foster or forever home. I weigh only about 35 lbs. I haven't been well-socialized in my young life so am shy/wary of new people. So I need a patient adopter who can help me come out of my shell. I am currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Washington at no extra charge beyond a nominal adoption fee. Please email for an adoption/foster application and additional photos.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Biscuit, a 7 year-old Frenchie that her foster family affectionately calls "Grubs" . She's cute, short/small and a little pudgy ~ a big girl in small dog's body. She's pretty wrinkly and makes funny grumbling noises. You will not find a more affectionate bulldog! Gubs is originally from an overcrowded shelter in CA and has been a mamma before. Her eye was missing long before she arrived at our rescue, and the eye injury site is very stable and does not require any monitoring or maintenance. She's extremely affectionate and will want to crawl into your lap for cuddles and kisses. She's very cute and loves affection from people but will brawl with other dogs for affection. She's pretty good about food boundaries with other dogs. She is house-trained but can be lazy and will need supervision. She really like her potty-pad. She doesn't like the rain or bad weather. Some cajoling will need to happen. She's on a hormone support chewable. It's helpful to support her since she was a breeding dog and has had many litters. She doens't need this medication to stay healthy; it just helps her with have longer bladder control. Grubs is currently in a home with 3 other dogs, two little chihuahua mixes and an English Bulldog. She will compete for attention so her adopters will need to be careful to give her attention and affection at the right time. The foster's manage well in the household by not giving in to her triggers but we do think that she would do best as an only dog in the home. She could be place with other little dogs that won't mind her being dominant. She will have issues with a larger dog in the home. Grub will require a family who will keep her active (she loves to walk) and has brachycephalic dog ownership experience. She would do best as the only dog in the home but with regular access to other dogs so that she will remain well socialized. Grubs does well with other dogs as long as there is good leadership and monitoring. She's has had a vet checkup. She was severely overweight at 42lb at her highest. She's down to about 25lbs. She's small framed for a Frenchie. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
Alaska is a little girl who came running to the shelter to hide, we assume she was scared after being run over. At first glance we saw that she had a fracture in her hind leg, her first visit to the vet was to prepare her for an amputation, since her leg was beyond repair. After her recovery, she began to prepare to find her new home, currently she already has her vaccinations up to date, she is spayed and ready. She is a very pampered dog, like a big girl, waiting for love, affection and lots of cuddles, she likes to go for walks, eager to see new places, always happy, following you everywhere. She is very curious, elated to see you, and such an adorable, smart little girl. The fact that she is missing her leg does not stop her, she runs, plays and can even jump, she has adapted quite well to her new life. She is still a puppy, she will barely be a year old, she will not grow any more, she is medium, around 28 pounds. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Zoe - what a survivor! Zoe is a 3 year old French Bulldog who has already faced so many challenges while moving through life with joy! You can't keep this little girl down. Zoe came to us suffering from middle ear infections and debris causing her discomfort and some vertigo. Since seeing our specialists she has been doing amazing! Great with the kids in the family and the perfect pawtner to her foster mom with walks around the neighborhood. Zoe is in such good health otherwise, and now relieved from pain and towards a wonderful rest of her life. Should the issue return, treatment is available for the condition. If you love Frenchie's and you are in for the humor and love this girl has to give, please consider adoption of sweet Zoe. She is the perfect little character! Zoe has no restrictions on her - just needs someone to keep an eye on her around stairs and jumping as should be for any Frenchie! Zoe is spayed and current on vaccinations and microchipped all included in her adoption donation.

Story
Meet🖤 Finn the Frenchie! Finn wakes up every day ready to play, ready to love, ready to show off his impressive fetch skills — with that perfectly crooked Frenchie grin that melts you on the spot. He’s silly. He’s proud of himself and curious about everything. And when he zooms around the yard, you can’t help but smile right along with him. Finn is happy, he sees people to adore. He sees a world that is absolutely meant for him. Finn's body is a little unique — like many French Bulldogs and loving Finn means being thoughtful about his lifestyle so he can stay feeling good as he grows. Finn was born with a spinal deformity that hasn't slowed him down yet...long term that simply means: 🖤 monitored play 🖤 calm walks and easy trails 🖤 keeping him cool in warm weather 🖤 supporting his body as it ages Which is true of all Frenchies! Finn is thriving. He fetches, cuddles, plays, and lives a full, happy little Frenchie life. His overall health is great! He’s neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to bring his enormous heart into the home that’s meant for him.

Story
Meet Luna! Age: 3-4 Breed: French Bulldog/Chihuahua Size: 21 lbs Luna is a resilient, gentle girl who’s come a long way and is ready to find a calm, loving home to call her own. After a difficult start—including surviving a car accident that resulted in the loss of one eye and injuries to her front paws—Luna has shown incredible strength and determination. She has healed beautifully and continues to gain confidence every day. Luna can be shy at first and will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. But once she feels safe, her affectionate and loyal nature truly shines. She’ll become your quiet little shadow, happily following you from room to room and soaking up gentle pets. Luna is the perfect low-key companion. She loves lounging on the couch, relaxing while you read or watch TV, and quietly napping nearby while you work. She’s an ideal work-from-home buddy—calm, content, and wonderfully quiet (she rarely barks!). She’s still building confidence and can be sensitive to sudden noises, so she’ll thrive in a peaceful home environment. With time, patience, and consistency, she continues to make wonderful progress—and has even started to enjoy toys and show off her adorable zoomies! Luna’s Highlights: She is house-trained and not destructive when she is home alone. She is quiet and calm in the home and is very affectionate when she warms up. It takes her a little Tim to trust new people. She is low to moderate in energy.    Luna will do best with a patient adopter who is willing to let her adjust at her own pace. She will do best in a home without kids - she does not do well with the chaos that a busy household can bring. Luna is ok with other dogs but has some jealousy if she needs to share a home with them. For this reason she is best as an only dog.  A secure, fully fenced yard is required - invisible fencing is not sufficient.  Luna is truly a special dog with so much love to give. With a little patience and a lot of love, she will reward you with deep loyalty and companionship. Luna is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She only has one eye but this does not affect her functioning. Her front leg is still healing but she is using it more and more.  Luna's adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
