WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Sansa - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name, Sansa, in Romania meaning 'chance'. My chance for a loving home and family, my chance to shine!! I was found by a library dumpster, hoping against all hope that someone would find me. I sure enough was and I was deemed the name Sansa! I am a tad bit shy at first meet but it won't be long before I'm following you...everywhere!! I'm only a youngster at around a year old so I have a lot of learning to do about this big ole world yet as new and loud noises makes me a little nervous. I am playful and have a little bit of a goofy side to me. I love playing with my 'sibling' pups and do great with people once I get to know them. I love playing with my toys especially the ones that go 'squeak'!! I'm also quite fond on getting pets on the forehead and my back legs. At about 20lbs I'm a pawsome size for being that companion pup for someone that works from home or is retired. My ideal home would to be part of a family that will have lots of time to give me lovins and attention. I could even do great being that adventure companion! I have so much love to give along with my playful nature (and this cutest little underbite going on) that you just cant' help but want to squeeze me in big hugs!! To get in all those hugs, you just need to fill out my adoption application...today, please!!!!

Animal Profile: Chanel was surrendered to our rescue partners in San Bernardino. She is friendly with people and other dogs, and did well for vetting. We look forward to helping her find a family in the PNW! Foster Update: Meet Chanel! She's got the cutest little underbite that is hard to beat, and she is ready to charm her way into your heart. True to her pug mix, Chanel is full of personality, spunk, and energy. This girl loves to play and run, and will benefit for a yard to get her zoomies out, or a stimulating lifestyle to keep her mind & body sharp. She is currently being fostered with two small breed dogs, and gets along with them well. She will engage in play, but she has also been respectful of their boundaries if they don't want to engage. Chanel has a clear love for toys, and will gladly take you up on a game of fetch. She is a smart cookie and motivated to learn. She'd love a job to help keep her fulfilled. She may even be a great candidate for some agility!  Affection is her middle name, and this girl just loves to be with her humans and craves to be by your side. She is good in her crate and will sleep soundly through the night. Chanel can't wait to finally land a family of her own.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Story
Meet Bruno! This young pup came to us a few weeks ago. He was found in a rural area and was clearly in distress. It appeared he had sustained a head injury, possibly from being hit by a car, or possible from abuse. It is hard to tell. He has been recovering in his foster home and is doing very well. He is an outgoing and sweet little boy. He loves other dogs and all humans though he can be a little hand shy at times. He loves playing in the yard outside and chewing on his toys. He is so much fun. He is a little more wary of men and seems to prefer women but he is easily won over with a bit of patience.  Bruno is generally in good health but his injury has left him with minor neurological damage. His depth perception is not 100%, likely because one side of his brain sustained the injury and cause damage to his eye. He can see but the eye is turned outwards a little bit. He can sometimes turn in a circle, or walk backwards, as if to get his bearings. Overall he is just delightful and his mild impairment just makes him more endearing. Bruno is vaccinated and microchipped. He will be neutered at our cost between 8-12 months of age. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Aggie! This little punkin' came to us from less than ideal conditions. Living in squalor in someone's backyard, without any interaction or attention given to her. She is one year old now and this is what her life was like for her first precious year. We are glad to have her safely with us. It is clear she was not treated kindly. Aggie is an endearing little girl. She is very timid and will look at you a bit fearfully with her big buggy eyes. She is so keen on making a connection though and finds adorable ways to do it, like sneaking up to nibble on your clothes, giving your hands a quick kiss when she is feeling brave. She likes it when you invite her to play - she loves to play. She will need some work to fully trust people but she will get there with some patience.  Aggie's back legs are quite deformed. She was born this way. Her knees are locked in place and her knee caps essentially are non-functional. She gets around very well and is not in pain. She runs, plays, have zoomies all the time. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs, big or small. It is so cute to see her tussle with them. She can't jump on surfaces (like couches or beds) and will struggle with stairs. We had her evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon and unfortunately any surgery is not likely to succeed and can possible make her situation worse. We hope someone will love her just the way she is. And she is just wonderful.  Aggie will need a home with a yard. Longer walks will be hard for her but puttering and playing in the yard is perfect for her. Due to her timid nature, a home with older kids (over 10) is best for her. Aggie is vaccinated, chipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
