Story
5 yr old German Shepherd female (owner died) This is Remi, her human daddy died in November and I need to find her a new home. She needs a job or to stay busy. She has a lot of energy. She isn't spayed I already have 2 dogs and cant keep her. She is great with people and very sweet. She wasn't socialized a lot with other dogs. She guards the the backyard great. She lives with 2 male dogs at the moment. She doesn't seem to like other female dogs and that probably because she's not spayed. I'm asking $50 which is negotiable to the right home. Please contact me with any questions. I think she would be better being spayed and I will help pay for her spay.

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet the Yellowstone litter! These are some beautiful puppies - and DNA came back as a fun mix of Shepherd / Bully / Golden Retriever and more. Mutts! Our favorite. They are some big puppies. Now about 14 weeks old, Tate is a good 25-30#. Fatty for sure who loves his food. :) He is currently in foster, and is Sooooo Smart! His foster has him on a training track - he knows sit, down, paw. He's not a huge fan of his crate, and it learning that. But he has mastered the doggy door - so actual housebreaking is going really well. Tate is such a sweet boy. He's the biggest beefy puppy in the litter and we love his white stripe on nose and forehead. Tate is such a cuddle bug, mornings are spent with him on his back getting lots of belly rubs. He loves people and the lovins' they bring. He's adventurous and a confident boy. This puppy is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated to appropriate age when they go home. He will need final puppy vaccines 17 weeks. They were born November 11, 2025. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot! The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood. Adoption fee is $525. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.

Story
Sheeba is my name and I am quite the celebrity around here :) Let me tell you all about it... have a seat and grab some tea. I was living on the streets with a gang of friends... found by a rescuer we were being fed but there was no room to put all of us. Of course, I was pregnant and after I gave birth the rescuers were afraid with all the storms that my babies wouldn't survive out there. So the pound was called, and let me tell you....I WOULD HAVE PROTECTED MY PUPS WITH MY LIFE........ of course, that is deemed "aggressive" and after my two day stray hold I was going to be euthanized and my puppies sent to rescues to bottle feed and raise up :( But MY rescue said, UH UH... She comes with the pups.... and they MADE IT HAPPEN! Now, it wasn't easy but I settled in to the routine and learned my caregiver's names and soon enough I was eating out of their hands. And they learned some neat but sad things about me.... I belonged to someone who trained me....... it is sad because no one has any idea where that person is nor why I was living on the streets :( Also, I am a very smart girl so I am also very sensitive to change....but, with my pups grown and adopted, I am now a model citizen at the rescue. Look at my video....I had JUST met the trainer that day and she absolutely fell head over heels for me. Now I am ready for you, I will complete your family. I am still working on my other dog skills and would probably be best where I can be the only dog and give you all my love. I am a gorgeous girl, my coat resembles a Belgian Shepherd's and I have GSD face and mannerisms. So if you want to adopt me, you must love and understand the working breeds. We need an outlet for our drive and you have to provide that to give me a great balanced life. I am ready, I hope you are too!! Local adoption only, $200 (in TX) (or if you want to drive down to meet and take her home that is cool too :)

Story
Hi! I’m Koda Bear 🐾 My mom was a German Shepherd and my dad was a Bully mix, but a lot of people think I look like I’ve got some Great Dane in me too—long legs and all! I’m housebroken and crate trained, and I’m a total pro with the doggie door. If it’s locked and I need to go out, I’ll politely let you know with a little whine. My foster dad says my name with a Canadian accent (it sounds funny, and my foster mom calls me a goofball, which is honestly pretty accurate. I love my dog friends, but when it’s mealtime, I prefer to enjoy my food in my kennel where I can eat in peace. It works great for me, and everyone stays happy—especially me 😋. I get along great with other dogs, cats, and kids, and I need a home with at least one other dog. I’m very playful, but don’t worry—I’m also a huge cuddler and take my snuggle duties very seriously. I already know sit, down, and go kennel, and I’m learning how to shake (I’m basically a genius). I love learning and showing off my skills. Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
