FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet Bubble Yum. Her foster mom calls her YumYum and adores her. In her foster home, she's learned all kinds of puppy manners. She is crate trained, sleeps with the big dogs on the couch or in an open crate. YumYum has come a long way. She is the sweetest girl. She can be on the reserved side, cautious of new people and situations, but she's the 'smart' girl of the litter - we can see her thinking about every command. She is the dog that crawls into your lap for TV time, relaxing on your lap. Yum is good with the other dogs in the house, and adores the male cat - they cuddle on the couch. As Yum has become more comfortable in her foster home, she's joined the 'pack' mentality and likes to 'herd' new people. But she is SO responsive to correction and is easy to work with. We started taking her to training classes to become socialized outside her foster's pack. She has gone on pack walks and to parks for classes and is doing great. Yum really does like the company of women, compared to men. She tolerates (hahahah) the husband in the house. She's going on 'adventures' out to stores and does great in the car. A large fenced yard and other friendly dogs (a must) would be great to show her the ropes, she plays well with the foster's 10# dog and her 100# dog! Miss Yum met kids ranging from 4 to 13. We think an adult home would probably be the best home for her. In a new home they will need the 3-3-3 rule applied and time to show their true side. We would even welcome a slower adoption process, meet and greets at first, with sleep overs. A trial adoption. Yum is now a year old. She's been in foster for 8 months and we are stunned... she's such a sweet dog given the time. She's only about 55#. Yum needs a home that understands dogs, she's amazing, but will take some time to adjust in a new home. She just made an appearance with Limelight Pet Project and they loved her. This dog is a spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is on pet insurance and cleared orthopedically. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Save-A-Mutt requires a training contract and $100 refundable deposit depending on previous dog experience. You pick a trainer in your area, and upon completion of a 6+ week training class, we will refund the deposit. Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood. YumYum is ready for her new home! Adoption fee is $325. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.

We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet Harvey. This sweet boy was adopted from us over 6 years ago and the family had a change of life. He just became a senior boy, turning 7 years old. A recent move had Harvey anxious and unhappy. He had lived his whole life with a littermate. He was returned to us we are a little perplexed, as Harvey settled in happily to his foster home. He's an active boy, but also a couch potato. Harvey became a little dog selective, we think he would be awesome (and happier) as an only dog - except when it comes to his 'kennel mate' Alabama. She too is a little selective, but they have hit it off. He loves men! Harvey has been in a kennel type foster for too many months now. But... they LOVE him. He bounces between couch time, and go go go. We just started him with BarkTrek, an outdoor adventure dog hiking company. It's giving him a chance to burn off energy for sure. Harvey does settle down, hanging out in the office with the owner of the kennel. We think a feline free home would be best. Harvey is doing great medically, he just had a full physical and even a dental. He has another Senior Dog exam coming up. Harvey will need a fully fenced yard - with a typical 6 foot fence - or acreage. He has super long 'kangaroo' legs and he can easily hope over a short fence. Daily walks, a tired dog is a good dog, would be awesome. Harvey also loves water! He was featured on the Limelight Pet Project: https://fb.watch/js83odUh-b/ This dog is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Adoptions take place in Stanwood / Arlington. Adoption fee is $150. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Story
About Betty Betty arrived at the shelter this past spring and soon after, gave birth to 11 puppies. She was a great mom to the puppies and interacted very well with all of the people involved in caring for her and her newborn babies. The puppies are raised and heading off to homes of their own now so Betty is ready for a new start in a loving home. We believe Betty to be a pitbull/German shepherd mix and is about 2 years old. She’s a big friendly pup with a good-looking tricolor coat. She is in need of a home with a fenced yard and no small animals. She weighs 72 lb. Considerations No small animals Fenced yard

Story
Hi people of San Antonio! My name is Ralf aka Ralfy aka Ralfy Palfy. My fosters gave me the last nickname because they say I will make someone a great Pal. You see, I was found on the side of the road barely alive after being hit by a car. I couldn't walk very well because my pelvis was broken in three places. But after visiting this place called the veterinarian, I started feeling much better. Unfortunately before my accident I had never met kind humans and still to this day, I'm very easily startled and scared of new people. It's going to take someone very special and patient to earn my trust. But once you earn it, I'm the sweetest and most gentle dog ever. I love love love chest rubs and ear scratches. But my number one love of all time is treats!!! I love all flavors so if you decide to take me home, don't be shy when shopping for me! I enjoy sunbathing and relaxing in my kennel. It's my safe place when I feel overwhelmed. I promise to love you if you promise to take the time to get to know me. I will do best in a quiet house with maybe 1 or 2 adults and an older mature doggy friend. I don't care much for traveling and prefer to be a homebody. I do love to play with doggy friends and don't mind cats either. I'm currently working on becoming more confident in public spaces. What do you say? Can you give me a shot? Ralf is kennel trained and potty trained. He is a local adoption only. His current foster is a trainer who is willing to offer two free sessions along with his adoption to set you both up for success and better help you understand what he will need and how you can help provide that for him. He is a Shepherd mix that weighs roughly 50lbs. Local adoption only $200 (in TX)
