Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 💙🐾 Meet Scout — A Loyal Heart Ready to Finally Belong 🐾💙 Scout is a 1-year-old, 40-pound bundle of sweetness who has somehow grown up without one very important thing… a family of his own. Born into an unwanted litter, Scout and his siblings missed out on the comforts most puppies take for granted — couches, bedtime routines, and humans who call them theirs. But somehow, Scout never let that dim his spirit. Scout is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and playful, with a heart that’s clearly been saving up love just waiting for the right people. He’s great with other dogs and kids, and greets life with a wagging tail and a hopeful look that says, “Is this my family?” His mom is a heeler/border collie mix around 40 lbs, and dad? Well… dad was apparently a traveling salespup, charming his way through town and leaving us with a mystery — possibly shepherd, possibly heartthrob, definitely good looks. Whatever the mix, Scout inherited the best parts: brains, athleticism, and a deep desire to be close to his people. Scout is playful and energetic, and would thrive with an active family who enjoys walks, adventures, games, and the kind of everyday moments that mean everything to a dog who’s waited so long. He’s the type who will happily run beside you one minute and lean his whole body into you the next, just to be sure you know how grateful he is. 🐕 Scout’s Highlights: ✅ 1 year old, 40 lbs ✅ Sweet, affectionate, and people-loving ✅ Great with dogs and kids ✅ Playful and active — adventure buddy approved ✅ Smart, eager, and ready to learn ✅ Missed out on puppyhood comforts, but not on love Scout doesn’t want to miss another second of what he’s waited his whole life for — a home, a family, and someone to love him back just as fiercely as he’ll love them. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give Scout the happy ending he’s been scouting for all along. 🐾💙

Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌼🐾 Meet Daisy — Sunshine in Fur Form, Ready to Bloom in a Home 🐾🌼 Daisy is a 1-year-old, ~40-pound sweetheart who has spent her entire puppyhood waiting for something most dogs never have to wait for — a family to call her own. Born into an unwanted litter, Daisy and her siblings grew up without the comfort of couches, bedtime snuggles, or humans who made them feel chosen. But despite it all, Daisy’s heart stayed soft, hopeful, and full of love. Daisy is gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully friendly, with a playful side that comes out once she feels safe. She does great with other dogs and kids, and has a calm, loving presence that makes you want to sit down beside her and stay awhile. She’s the kind of dog who leans in close, quietly soaking up affection like she’s making up for lost time. Her mom is a heeler/border collie mix around 40 lbs, and dad? Well… dad was apparently a traveling salespup, charming his way through town and leaving us with a mystery — possibly shepherd, possibly heartthrob, definitely good looks. Whatever the mix, Daisy inherited the best parts: brains, athleticism, and a deep desire to be close to her people. Daisy would love an active but loving home — one that enjoys walks, playtime, and adventures, but also understands the magic of slowing down and just being together. She’s ready to learn, eager to please, and so excited to finally experience what it means to be part of a family. 🐕 Daisy’s Darling Details: ✅ 1 year old, ~40 lbs ✅ Sweet, gentle, and affectionate ✅ Great with dogs and kids ✅ Playful with a calm, loving heart ✅ Smart and ready to learn ✅ Has waited patiently for her chance at a home Daisy is ready to bloom into the best version of herself — all she needs is someone willing to give her the love she’s been missing. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and help Daisy finally plant her paws where she belongs: right in your heart and home. 🌼🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Jameson – a Shepherd/Aussie dream boat! Jameson is 6 months old, about 22 pounds, and comes with an amazing combination of breeds. His dad was a purebred German Shepherd and her mom was a Mini Australian Shepherd, giving him the intelligence, loyalty, and athletic ability these breeds are famous for. If you love smart dogs who bond deeply with their people, Jameson is going to steal your heart. He may be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe he quickly turns affectionate and loves to be near his humans. In his foster home, it took less than a day before he started seeking attention and settling in. ✨ Why his mix is so special: • Extremely intelligent • Eager to learn and please • Naturally people-focused • Athletic and fun • Devoted, Velcro-dog potential Jameson is very food motivated and has already mastered sit, which is a huge indicator of how trainable he will be. With his genetics, he would likely excel in obedience, tricks, agility, hiking adventures, or any activity that lets him use his brain. He’s in his teenage phase, so curiosity sometimes gets the best of him — especially if food is involved. But with structure and consistency, he’ll mature into an incredibly well-mannered companion. He did wonderfully with children at his adoption event and gets along nicely with the other dogs in his foster home. Jameson is almost housebroken and just needs his forever family to help him finish the job. If you’ve been hoping for a loyal, brilliant, loving dog with that classic Shepherd devotion and Aussie smarts, Jameson is ready to wiggle his way into your heart and home! Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Jameson brighten your days and bring boundless joy into your life!!

Story
Animal Profile: Leo is an estimated 4-year-old male slight-structured Shepherd mix who was adopted as a young puppy after we accepted him from California where he was found as a stray in a Chino dumping zone along with his sibling Sansa and mom Catelyn. He joined us in Seattle on 10/10, along with Sansa and Catelyn. Leo was returned to the rescue after a couple of years due to a divorce in the family, lacking socialization and training. He was fostered with a trainer for several weeks and is now thriving and ready for a loving forever home.  Seattle Foster Update: Leo has progressed well in his time with us as a foster. When Leo arrived to us from training he was moderately reactive, but quickly blossomed to a friendly, tail wagging, bouncy boy. Leo is in a word eccentric. He is a cuddle bug and a hermit and assumes the oddest positions imaginable to get close to his owners. He is crate trained perfectly and enjoys the safe environment the crate provides for him. If you’re unwilling to give Leo a crate then you’re not the right home for him. He needs his escape and downtime to be the best boy. Leo warms up slowly to new people and dogs, and his new owners should be selective in dog introductions as he will react if confronted and doesn’t like in your face dog encounters. He plays well with male Collie and male Malinois and he has a firm truce with our selective female Bulldog. He lives with our cats and is completely disinterested in them. So, cat friendly. Leo will never be a dog park dog. So no dog parks. We don’t have kids in the household so don’t have awareness there. He has no food aggression but he's still working on taking treats gently. Leo will be a great hiking buddy and walks beautifully on leash. He doesn’t have marked stranger danger but again the policy will likely be "please don’t pet my dog without proper introductions." Adopter Profile: Dog experience required Fenced yard required Other dog/dogs in the home a plus Cats okay Older kids okay Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org  March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Rico is a 6-year-old (DOB 10/1/2019), 80 lb neutered male German Shepherd with a very sad story looking for a brighter future. He seems older than his years, due to his history of neglect, but he is now safe in foster care and getting the TLC he will need to thrive. Rico has some chronic skin issues that are improving, but will need ongoing supportive care with quality food and supplements. He will also need a structured exercise regimen to promote muscle growth and weight loss. Rico is open to connection with a human -- you can see it in his eyes. He has no aggressive tendencies with humans or dogs but is just awkward with interaction. You can see he wants to do it! He is house trained (with regular access to potty breaks) and crate trained, and has quickly learned some basic obedience such as sit and heel in foster care. He does not have any reactivity on leash but does pull without a prong collar. He seems to have some prey drive for toys (which will be helpful for connection and his spirit!) and cars. We will test him with cats and share that info. More updates as we get to know him.  Animal History: Rico was purchased from Tannerhaus GSD, a "reputable breeder" (we DO NOT recommend) that advertises they take their dogs back, but when Rico's senior owner had to move to assisted living, the breeder did not uphold the contract. Rico's family discovered that Rico had not been let outside regularly in years, was forced to potty in the house, and did not have regular access to water; he was more of a well-fed houseplant with limited mental or physical stimulation, or even touch. His owner's family could not find placement for him and moved him to a kennel where he stayed for months and developed skin issues, including a systemic fungal infection. When they could no longer afford to kennel him, they reached out and we could not refuse to help him. Rico found emergency placement with The Good Dog Way in Bellingham (6/9/2025) and began his journey to recovery. He is now in foster care in Bothell and making great progress. He is available for adoption to the greater Seattle area, though we are continuing to work on his physical and mental condition. We will update his profile as he progresses.  Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $575 which includes his neuter, core vaccinations,  DPPV, Bordetella, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application  March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm

Story
Animal Information: Eros is an estimated 11-week-old, male, German Shepherd/Malinois mix.  Eros is the Greek god of desire. He was found as a stray with his mom and 9 siblings. He has been at the Devore animal shelter for 2 weeks and was on the euth listed due to space. Thanks to a Seattle area foster stepping up to take the family in, they were all saved. We will share more about Eros, his mom and siblings as they settle in. Foster Profile: Eros is the runt of the litter at 5lbs, but he's got enough personality in his little toes to make up for his petite size. Eros and his littermates all conquered some early digestive viruses, and though it was touch and go for awhile with hands on round the clock care, he is healthy, active and ready to find his family.  Home with securely fenced yard and breed experience preferred. We will not be considering apartments for these puppies.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from in Devore Animal Shelter in CA. He will be transferred via Wiggle Butts, arriving to foster care on 01/25/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm
