Story
Introducing Miss Honey! Honey is as sweet as her name. She is a 5-year-old spayed mini golden doodle, weighing around 40 lbs. She is up to date on all her vaccinations and is on monthly flea and tick and heartworm preventatives. While initially timid and unsure, after being allowed some time to feel safe and secure, she wants nothing more than to be exactly where her people are. She walks with a slack leash (as long as she’s with you), is doing great at going outside in the backyard to use the potty (as long as she is with you) and sleeps all night on her dog bed (as long as she’s next to you) Do you see the pattern here?! Honey is indifferent to cats, has been gentle with all children that she has interacted with and gets along with both our female and male dog, although she’s much happier with her people and would probably be just fine in a single dog home. Because of her desire to be with her human family, she does have separation anxiety when left alone. She would do best with a family that is home a lot and able to spend as much time with her as possible. She is not the biggest fan of her crate but is slowly adjusting to that as well. With some time and patience, Honey will be a great companion for her future family! Story
Meet Tracy and Stacy! Tracy and Stacy are 5 year old standard poodle/golden retriever mixes who were both saved from the same commercial breeding facility in Lancaster County. They came to us covered from head to toe in matted fur, like most puppy mill poodle mixes, but thanks to our wonderful grooming volunteers have had the pain and weight of those mats removed! They look beautiful and can have a fresh start in their new life! They are shy, due to their years of abuse and neglect, but are really starting to blossom in their foster home. We are confident they will make wonderful family members for any family who understands their past and gives them the time they needs to trust. These girls love one another, and would love to spend the rest of their days together. We require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY. Puppy mill dogs tend to do best in a home without young children as well (10+), though this determination is made on a case by case basis. Please apply to be considered at our website www.angelsretreat.org! 💕🐾 Tracy and Stacy Quick Facts: -They are large dogs, standard poodle sized -They would do best in a home without young children -They do have to go home together, but LOVE other dogs -They love people they trust and their foster mom describes them as they “loving shadow” -They are house trained!

Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 May 19, 2025, 1:17 pm
