Meet Chevy   Status: Available Sex: Spayed Female – Gastropexied Color: Merle    Ears: Natural Age: 6 yrs  Weight: 108 lbs Great Dane Experience Required Adoption Fee – has been paid by a generous sponsor   Chevy is a beautiful 6-year-old merle Great Dane looking for a special home that understands her needs and is ready to help her continue building confidence. At her core, Chevy is an incredibly loyal Dane who forms deep bonds with her people. Once she trusts you, she'll happily follow you from room to room, curl up nearby while you relax, and remind you why Great Danes are known for their devotion. She loves playing fetch with her Kong stick, zooming around the yard, and soaking up time with her favorite humans. Chevy is house-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands including sit, down, come, stay, and off, and responds well to hand signals. She enjoys learning, especially when rewarded with her favorite all-natural treats. While Chevy has many wonderful qualities, she is looking for a very specific home where she can thrive. Chevy can be reactive to people and animals she sees through windows, on walks, or while riding in the car. She will bark and lunge when triggered and will need continued training, patience, and consistent leadership to help her work through these behaviors. Because of her reactivity, Chevy must be the only pet in the home. She is not a candidate for homes with other dogs, cats, or small animals. She also requires an adult-only home with no children. Chevy's ideal adopter will have previous giant breed experience, understand canine body language, and be committed to continuing her training and confidence-building. She would do best in a calm, predictable environment with a securely fenced yard where she can safely run and play. In return, Chevy offers unwavering loyalty, affection, and companionship. She settles in quickly with her people, enjoys spending time with her family, and loves nothing more than being close to the person she trusts. If you're an experienced giant breed owner looking for a devoted companion and are willing to provide the structure and training Chevy needs, she may be the perfect addition to your family. More about Chevy: Great Dane Experience Required Housetrained:Yes Crate trained: Yes Needs a calm home - dog savvy adults and teens only No dogs No cats Reactive to new people and dogs Professional training in process and will need to be continued Fearful and anxious around new people - needs slow introductions   June 21, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
Ajax is a handsome four year old blue merle Great Dane with a friendly, curious, and eager to please disposition. He was transferred to rescue after finding himself in a midwestern municipal shelter. Ajax arrived underweight, having been neglected by his prior owner, but is doing well in foster care. He is a bit of a "velcro dog," as Danes are apt to be, and would love the devotion of his very own family. Ajax enjoys going anywhere where there is attention to be given to him, and appears to do well with humans and dogs of all sizes, though he can get very excited during play, which will not work for every kind of friend. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, wormed, on heartworm prevention; we do not believe he has had a gastropexy. Ajax's adoption fee is $350.

Story
Nella is a 7-year-old sweetheart originally from Texas. Despite what some may think, she’s definitely not a Great Dane—she’s likely more Whippet than anything else and tops out at around 50 pounds. She has spent her entire life around children of all ages and absolutely adores them, often greeting them with plenty of kisses. While she may give a few warning growls when someone comes to the door, she's never aggressive and settles down as soon as she realizes they're welcome guests. Nella still has plenty of pep in her step and enjoys the occasional zoomie session, but overall she's a low-maintenance dog who doesn't need much exercise beyond some yard time or a short daily walk. She could use a little work on leash manners, as she tends to pull when walking. One of Nella's funniest traits is how much she loves men—she bonds with them almost instantly. That said, she's happy to soak up affection from anyone and is perfectly content curling up next to you on the couch for a nap. She enjoys playing with other dogs and can get a little carried away because she doesn't always realize when playtime is over. However, she's very responsive and will stop immediately when redirected. ##2766931##

Story
Roper was running at large in North Texas and found his happy place at a French Bulldog breeder’s property SO if you see some really big FBs you know who the baby daddy is! He got his name because the sheriff roped him to break up the party. Our founder drove him to Colorado and just because of his size, she said people wouldn’t even make eye contact with her at gas stations, especially when she got him out to tinkle. She felt totally safe with him and so happy to have him along for the ride. He is 80-ish pounds and we think Dane and whatever. Roper has since been neutered, is current on vaccines, and has been working with a trainer on general obedience. His best owner would be alpha and keep up his training. This boy is sweet and athletic - watching him run and play is a beautiful thing. Please email dancingdogrescueco@gmail.com for foster or adoption information.
