Story

This sweet senior Great Dane is the definition of a gentle giant. At approximately 135 pounds, she has endless love to give and is happiest when she's by your side—whether she's quietly snoozing at your feet, soaking up the sunshine, or joining you for a ride in the car.Zia is an absolute dream in the home. She's fully house-trained, has wonderful house manners, doesn't counter-surf, and already knows her basic commands. She's the kind of dog who simply wants to be close to her people and enjoy life's simple pleasures. While we aren't sure how she does with other dogs, she has done well with dog-savvy cats who understand and respect her space. Because we don't know her history with dogs, any introductions should be done thoughtfully. If you're looking for a calm, loving, low-maintenance companion with a heart as big as she is, Mama Zia Zanna is ready to spend her golden years soaking up all the love she deserves. This animal is on foster care, please fill out a adoption application to meet her.

Story

Dane was running out of time through no fault of his own. He found himself in a small rural shelter where space had run out, putting him on the euthanasia list simply because there wasn't room. Thankfully, Dane got a second chance. At around a year old, this stunning blue merle Great Dane mix is as easygoing as they come. He enjoys going for walks, hanging out with his dog friends, and taking plenty of naps in between. Dane gets along great with dogs of all sizes and with cats, making him an easy fit for many homes. He is a calm, laid-back guy who is simply happy to be included. Good fit: someone looking for a relaxed companion who enjoys walks, naps, and spending time with both people and other animals. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $450 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ Think you might be a good fit? 🐾 Meet Sully! Those eyes! 😍 Sully is a 6-month-old, Dane/Lab mix, sweetheart with one gorgeous blue eye, one warm brown eye, and a personality that’s just as adorable as his looks! This goofy, silly boy is a professional lap dog in training who loves cuddles just as much as playtime. He enjoys playing with his canine siblings, loves children, and walks nicely on a leash. Sully is also eager to learn and ready to keep growing into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. Of course, he’s still a puppy, so he’s learning his manners and figuring out this big world one day at a time. Sully will thrive with a family committed to daily exercise, continued obedience training, and positive reinforcement to help him become the best boy he can be. He’ll need regular opportunities to burn off that puppy energy, work his brain, and keep learning! If you’re looking for a sweet, fun-loving companion who will make you laugh, fill your days with puppy kisses, and happily snuggle up in your lap (even when he gets too big for it!), Sully might just be your perfect match! 🐶 All this handsome boy needs now is a family to love him, guide him, and help him thrive. Sully is being fostered in Castle Rock, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/sully/. Story

This is real life Scooby Doo.<3Duke is the absolute sweetest baby known to man I’m absolutely heartbroken writing this because I’ll miss him so much but he deserves better. He’s actually my dad’s dog and I used to live with them but since me leaving he’s been alone and depressed. He’s grown up around kids, cats, another dog, men and women. He’s very attached a stuffed lamb he cares it around everywhere he goes. He needs a home where someone will be home more often with him and keep him company. He does still have the puppy mentality and is unaware of his size so older kids is better than younger so he doesn’t accidentally knock them over. Not food aggressive. He does bark so apartments aren’t suited for him. He is very much of a couch potato but would also like to run around in a park or backyard. He doesn’t quite understand fetch he will not bring back the ball. Since his mouth is so big I recommend large tennis balls I have an orange one to give to you.

Story

Meet Paris! This gorgeous, 4-to-5-year-old Great Dane is a gentle giant with a heart twice her size, just waiting for the perfect forever home to share it with. Her story started with some tough times. She was brought into rescue starving and severely underweight, but you would never know it from her incredible spirit. Thanks to the love and TLC of her dedicated foster family, she is finally putting on weight and learning how good life can be. As she heals, her wonderful, playful side is starting to emerge, and she is showing everyone just how much of a super sweet, affectionate lovebug she truly is. Here is what makes this big girl so special: • True Social Butterfly: She is good with other dogs and has even passed her cat test with flying colors! • House Manners: She is already fully house-trained and respects her indoor space. • Affectionate and Gentle: She loves human companionship and will happily lean in for all the chest scratches and cuddles you can give. Medical Note: Because she arrived so malnourished, her health journey is a work in progress. She had a borderline/possible heartworm result, but she cannot be officially re-tested or spayed until her weight is fully restored to a healthy level. The rescue will work closely with her adopters to handle her upcoming re-test and spay once her veterinary team gives her the green light. If you have room in your heart (and on your couch!) for a resilient, loving giant who will repay your kindness with a lifetime of loyalty, she is ready to meet you!
