Story
Meet Sally! ✨ At just six months old, this beautiful Great Dane mix girl is all legs & ears, love, and playful puppy energy. Sally came to us from a high-intake shelter in Texas where she was struggling with mange and desperately needed some groceries. Now that she’s safe, healing, and gaining healthy weight, her sweet personality is shining brighter every day! Sally absolutely loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have playful canine buddies in her forever home. Whether she’s romping around the yard, heading out for walks, or proudly carrying around her favorite stuffed toy, Sally approaches life with joyful enthusiasm. She’s also an avid bone collector and takes her chew toy responsibilities very seriously. For such a young pup, Sally is already making wonderful progress with both crate training and house training. She’s eager to learn, eager to love, and ready for a family that will continue helping her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. After a rough start, Sally is finally getting the care she deserved all along — and now she’s looking for a forever family to spoil her rotten. If you’re searching for a sweet, playful, resilient pup with a giant heart and even bigger paws, Sally may just be your girl. 💕 Sally is being fostered in Mead, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/sally/. For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Meet Chevy   Status: Available Sex: Spayed Female – Gastropexied Color: Merle    Ears: Natural Age: 6 yrs  Weight: 108 lbs Great Dane Experience Required Adoption Fee – has been paid by a generous sponsor   Chevy is a beautiful 6-year-old merle Great Dane looking for a special home that understands her needs and is ready to help her continue building confidence. At her core, Chevy is an incredibly loyal Dane who forms deep bonds with her people. Once she trusts you, she'll happily follow you from room to room, curl up nearby while you relax, and remind you why Great Danes are known for their devotion. She loves playing fetch with her Kong stick, zooming around the yard, and soaking up time with her favorite humans. Chevy is house-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands including sit, down, come, stay, and off, and responds well to hand signals. She enjoys learning, especially when rewarded with her favorite all-natural treats. While Chevy has many wonderful qualities, she is looking for a very specific home where she can thrive. Chevy can be reactive to people and animals she sees through windows, on walks, or while riding in the car. She will bark and lunge when triggered and will need continued training, patience, and consistent leadership to help her work through these behaviors. Because of her reactivity, Chevy must be the only pet in the home. She is not a candidate for homes with other dogs, cats, or small animals. She also requires an adult-only home with no children. Chevy's ideal adopter will have previous giant breed experience, understand canine body language, and be committed to continuing her training and confidence-building. She would do best in a calm, predictable environment with a securely fenced yard where she can safely run and play. In return, Chevy offers unwavering loyalty, affection, and companionship. She settles in quickly with her people, enjoys spending time with her family, and loves nothing more than being close to the person she trusts. If you're an experienced giant breed owner looking for a devoted companion and are willing to provide the structure and training Chevy needs, she may be the perfect addition to your family. More about Chevy: Great Dane Experience Required Housetrained:Yes Crate trained: Yes Needs a calm home - dog savvy adults and teens only No dogs No cats Reactive to new people and dogs Professional training in process and will need to be continued Fearful and anxious around new people - needs slow introductions   June 21, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
Sierra is a five-year-old ~110-pound Anatolian shepherd mix who came from a family in Montana that was unable to give her the care and attention she needs. She was kept outside too much, but we have been working with her since February, integrating her into our family, dog walks, belly rubs and brushing, etc. She's a working/herding/guard dog but is also a goofball and a very cuddly teddy bear who loves people and has done well around children. She does have protective/guarding tendencies that seem to have been exacerbated by her situation at her former home, and would do best in a house with a fenced yard and without other dogs or pets (strong crittering instinct). However, she has also made HUGE progress on her dog walks and hasn’t shown any reactivity to other dogs in weeks. Sierra loves being brushed, hanging out with her people, and belly rubs. She is a very sweet girl and would make a great companion for the right person!
