Story
Blanca is a 5-month-old Great Dane mix with a heart as big as her paws. Rescued from a high-kill shelter on the day she was set to be euthanized, Blanca is now in foster care, settling into her new environment. She is a friendly, loving puppy who gets along well with other dogs. Blanca enjoys snuggling up with her humans and giving gentle puppy kisses. Blanca is looking for a forever home where she will receive lots of love and attention. A family that enjoys long walks and playtime in the yard would be perfect for her. She would also love to have a canine sibling to keep her company and show her the ropes. Blanca is a healthy girl who is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She is currently working on her basic training in her foster home. If you are interested in adopting Blanca, please fill out an adoption application on the Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue website. Once your application is approved, you can arrange a meet-and-greet with Blanca. She can't wait to meet you and become a part of your family!

Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Hi – they call me Bubas.  I spent 4 months in a shelter.  They named me Bubas. I checked out of the vet with a clean bill of health, but they recommended some meds for fear and anxiety.  You see, I was found wandering the streets, so I have a very mysterious background – my little secret.  But I can tell you this:  I am scared of a lot of things, especially men and strangers.  Strange Men are the Worst.    I have latched on to Foster Mom and will not leave her side – I don’t growl at Foster Dad anymore, so that’s a bit of progress. I enjoy playing with other dogs and my toys.  I’m good with middle aged to older kids, but the little ones have as much energy as I do and they make me a bit nervous.  Besides, I’m big enough to knock them down when I’m just trying to play with them. I am slowly learning manners and commands and getting better with time.  I’m learning to walk on a harness and leash – regular collars make me alligator roll to get out of them.  I am house trained and crate trained. Here is my idea of the perfect home:  Great Dane Experience, female only household, my people to be home more than not, lots of patience and love, another big dog to pal around with and whom I can learn from,  interest in helping me to learn how to bring out the Awesomeness that is inside of me, and some more love.  Please fill out an application and ask for me.June 18, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Cowboy is a Great Dane mix.  Like other shelter pups, we have limited information.  We are unsure what Cowboy is mixed with but it is clear he is “100% pure bred cuteness”.  We know he has some Great Dane because the shelter said, “we love how goofy he is”.  Yep – that sounds like a baby Dane to us! Cowboy was brought to a shelter as a stray.  The shelter has described Cowboy as “very active, talkative, playful, friendly with visitors, lap dog”.  He likes to play gently and has played with other dogs at the shelter.   We anticipate Cowboy will need Great Dane 101 lessons on all fronts, meaning – house training; crate training; leash training, etc. proper introductions to animals and young people.  Cowboy sounds super curious and ready to learn all about becoming a big, goofy Dane – so if this isn’t your first “Dane Rodeo” – help us get Cowboy a home!  More about Cowboy: Neutered Male Housebroken unknown Not trusted to free roam Crate trained unknown Puppy – higher energy No Cats (Cats Unknown; prey drive unknown) Dogs Unknown (played with dogs at shelter) Children unknown Needs leash training; Needs all basic training Must be a Great Dane or Giant Breed experienced home due to age and training required. Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Meet Remus – a Great Dane and Catahoula mix! “My name is Remus and my name hails from Roman mythology but I hail from the streets of great state of Colorado!  My current home rescued me from a shelter in hopes I could become her service dog.  I have proven that being a service animal is not in the cards for me but what is in my future is finding an amazing forever home where I can “Just Dane It” (Swoosh!)  I have been in my current home for a year and before that, I was found as a stray and taken to an animal shelter.  I will confess – all this change and instability has not been the best life for me but I am ready to prove to you I can be the best’est boy ever!! I am an affectionate guy but prone to anxiety given my unstable past.  I still show so much love, affection to everyone around me – humans and animals. I will happily be your couch potato, lap dog.  I have proven to be great with adults and kids.  Over the past year, I have lived with male and female dogs, including a senior,  3 cats, a rabbit and two guinea pigs.   I think this makes me rather extraordinary. My ideal home is someone who will see what an amazing boy I am, and will devote time to helping me get the basics down that I missed growing up on the streets.  More about Remus: Neutered Male Not trusted to free roam Crate training recommended Needs work on house training Good with respectful children all ages Good with all people Good with dogs Good with cats, rabbits and guinea pigs Home with secured, fenced yard Prone to anxiety, needs work on basic skills, and “Daning” in general Great Dane or Giant Breed experienced home required June 18, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Silly Millie here.  Like most shelter dogs, they don’t know a lot about my background – but my two fosters sure have things to share: Millie is a petite Dane mix, 1 year old.  She was dropped off at the shelter after already having a litter.  The shelter spayed Millie but due to overcrowding, she was at risk of not making it out of the shelter and into a home.  She is very sweet, gentle and friendly. I am goofy, silly and a typical teenaged Great Dane.  I love playing with my toys, either by myself or with my Foster Mom.  Backyard for my Zoomies?  Then I’m looking for you.  And don’t forget my dedicated napping area. I am house trained and crate trained and I know Sit, Stay, Off and Come (or Touch).  I also know how to use a doggy door. I am leash trained on both a Gentle Leader and an Easy-Walk harness.  I do pretty well when I’m walking solo, but if my Foster brother is with us, I want to be in the front of the brat pack.  I’m working on my prey drive on leash and learning not to pull and react when I see fun little things to chase and other dogs.  I’m actually going to a very special training just for this! I’ve been around kids – 3 and 5 yrs old – when they visited and I know how to be gentle with them.  When one of them was running, I was playing chase, but when she fell down, I stopped – Silly Millie knows her kid boundaries.  And cat boundaries – my first Foster had a cat and it hissed when I tried to chase it, so I stopped.  Needless, I love to chase and be chased so if you have a Dog I can do with that, BONUS!  Humans work too. Hey Listen – I need slow introductions to other Dogs.  Once we get to Sniff-It-Out, I’m good with new dogs.  But the ones that run up to me without an invitation I’m not so keen on.  Yeh – men too.  As long as they are Gentlemen and know how to wait for a good introduction, I’m all in.  More about Milie: Spayed Female Mild mannered, sweet, affectionate Moderate energy punctuated by naps Cats ok if I just have to live with them Giant Breed or Large Breed Mix experienced home best to help Millie learn “adulting” June 18, 2024, 2:39 pm
