Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Hi – they call me Bubas.  I spent 4 months in a shelter.  They named me Bubas. I checked out of the vet with a clean bill of health, but they recommended some meds for fear and anxiety.  You see, I was found wandering the streets, so I have a very mysterious background – my little secret.  But I can tell you this:  I am scared of a lot of things, especially men and strangers.  Strange Men are the Worst.    I have latched on to Foster Mom and will not leave her side – I don’t growl at Foster Dad anymore, so that’s a bit of progress. I enjoy playing with other dogs and my toys.  I’m good with middle aged to older kids, but the little ones have as much energy as I do and they make me a bit nervous.  Besides, I’m big enough to knock them down when I’m just trying to play with them. I am slowly learning manners and commands and getting better with time.  I’m learning to walk on a harness and leash – regular collars make me alligator roll to get out of them.  I am house trained and crate trained. Here is my idea of the perfect home:  Great Dane Experience, female only household, my people to be home more than not, lots of patience and love, another big dog to pal around with and whom I can learn from,  interest in helping me to learn how to bring out the Awesomeness that is inside of me, and some more love.  Please fill out an application and ask for me.July 23, 2024, 1:32 pm

Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Cowboy is a Great Dane mix.  Like other shelter pups, we have limited information.  We are unsure what Cowboy is mixed with but it is clear he is “100% pure bred cuteness”.  We know he has some Great Dane because the shelter said, “we love how goofy he is”.  Yep – that sounds like a baby Dane to us! Cowboy was brought to a shelter as a stray.  The shelter has described Cowboy as “very active, talkative, playful, friendly with visitors, lap dog”.  He likes to play gently and has played with other dogs at the shelter.   We anticipate Cowboy will need Great Dane 101 lessons on all fronts, meaning – house training; crate training; leash training, etc. proper introductions to animals and young people.  Cowboy sounds super curious and ready to learn all about becoming a big, goofy Dane – so if this isn’t your first “Dane Rodeo” – help us get Cowboy a home!  More about Cowboy: Neutered Male Housebroken unknown Not trusted to free roam Crate trained unknown Puppy – higher energy No Cats (Cats Unknown; prey drive unknown) Dogs Unknown (played with dogs at shelter) Children unknown Needs leash training; Needs all basic training Must be a Great Dane or Giant Breed experienced home due to age and training required. Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Meet Remus – a Great Dane and Catahoula mix! “My name is Remus and my name hails from Roman mythology but I hail from the streets of great state of Colorado!  My current home rescued me from a shelter in hopes I could become her service dog.  I have proven that being a service animal is not in the cards for me but what is in my future is finding an amazing forever home where I can “Just Dane It” (Swoosh!)  I have been in my current home for a year and before that, I was found as a stray and taken to an animal shelter.  I will confess – all this change and instability has not been the best life for me but I am ready to prove to you I can be the best’est boy ever!! I am an affectionate guy but prone to anxiety given my unstable past.  I still show so much love, affection to everyone around me – humans and animals. I will happily be your couch potato, lap dog.  I have proven to be great with adults and kids.  Over the past year, I have lived with male and female dogs, including a senior,  3 cats, a rabbit and two guinea pigs.   I think this makes me rather extraordinary. My ideal home is someone who will see what an amazing boy I am, and will devote time to helping me get the basics down that I missed growing up on the streets.  More about Remus: Neutered Male Not trusted to free roam Crate training recommended Needs work on house training Good with respectful children all ages Good with all people Good with dogs Good with cats, rabbits and guinea pigs Home with secured, fenced yard Prone to anxiety, needs work on basic skills, and “Daning” in general Great Dane or Giant Breed experienced home required July 23, 2024, 1:32 pm

Story
Roper was running at large in North Texas and found his happy place at a French Bulldog breeder’s property SO if you see some really big FBs you know who the baby daddy is! He got his name because the sheriff roped him to break up the party. Our founder drove him to Colorado and just because of his size, she said people wouldn’t even make eye contact with her at gas stations, especially when she got him out to tinkle. She felt totally safe with him and so happy to have him along for the ride. He is 80-ish pounds and we think Dane and whatever. Roper has since been neutered, is current on vaccines, and has been working with a trainer on general obedience. His best owner would be alpha and keep up his training. This boy is sweet and athletic - watching him run and play is a beautiful thing. Please email dancingdogrescueco@gmail.com for foster or adoption information.

Story
Freckles!!! This boy is too sweet, he is SUCH a cuddle bug and really just wants to be with his people. We believe he is a dane mix and still very young, around 4 ish months. He is very gentle and great at listening to the staff at the center and various volunteers he has meant. We just cant get over how lovely he is and know his future home is gonna be very lucky!! He recently met a kitty friend and they did okay! He is a little forward but would likely learn and adjust to life with one  Apply to foster or adopt Freckles on Lolasrescue.com/available-animals ##1945638##
