Meet Donnie... This 2 ½ year old Great Dane mix is half pony, half pup, and all smiles! Sweet and playful, Donnie loves his humans. He lives with two kids that he adores - but due to his size, would do best with children over the age of 10. At 85 pounds his playstyle would best be described as bouncy with a bit of clumsiness mixed in. If you love fine china and knick-knacks this is not the dog for you. Outside the home, Donnie can be a little shy when meeting new people. Throw him a few treats, however, and he'll be your new best friend. As for dogs - Donnie loves pups that are easy going, playful, and can keep up with his bouncy style. He wants nothing to do, however, with pups that are pushy or bossy and will avoid them at all cost. As for cats - he LOVES them! Crate trained, house broken, and knows all of his basic commands... this gentle giant has so much to offer. Khronos was born in May of 2021. We adopted him out of state and he quickly became a part of our family. I've been his main caretaker but because I have started college and working, I can't dedicate as much time as I would like to him. He is very friendly towards people but has not been fully socialized to be around other dogs. He's playful with neighbor's dogs as long as they don't bark at him, he has never attacked or tried to bite another dog and will not bark unless he's barked at first. He's good with kids, we have a 5 and 8-year-old that play with him. He likes running in open spaces and has quite a bit of energy.

Feeling a bit blue? A little lonely? Is it getting dark a bit too early? Bright can fix all of that - he's a beam of love and light in dog form! Bright came to CCR after his owners were unable to care for him anymore. He's a 7 1/2 year old Great Dane/pittie mix who tips the scales at 83 pounds. Despite his beefiness, Bright thinks he's a lap dog! He loves to snuggle and cuddle, and nothing makes him happier than some love time. Bright is your typical elephant-who-sees-a-mouse scaredy cat - he can be worried going for walks in new environments or when he hears big new sounds! Once he's comfortable, this guy LOVES to go for walks in the woods, sniff around under the snow, and then come home to a roaring fireside snooze! Bright is currently living in a foster home where is foster mama says he's just a doll! Because of his tough early life, Bright has some issues sharing his stuff with other dogs, so he'll need to be the only dog in the home. He does fine with dog-savvy cats - he's living with two now! We're looking for a low-key suburban or rural home where Bright can stretch his legs without the noise and stress of city living. He's a low-key, mellow adult guy who wants a low-key, mellow home where he can finally have the love and security he deserves.
