Eli is a ~7-month-old big ol’ baby who is still growing into his body and has decided he would very much like to do so from your lap. He is a big lap dog. He just wants to be cuddled and rocked like a baby. He may look like a large, lanky pup (possibly a Great Dane mix…), but don’t be fooled: Eli is convinced he is a tiny dog and would like to be held, carried, cuddled, and babied accordingly. This sweet boy was pulled from a high-risk shelter and is so grateful for his second chance. He’s still on the thinner side and working on adding some healthy weight, but with good food, love, and stability, he’s already blossoming. This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 110 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up to date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence, and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides. Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet!
