Meet Cookie (and yes, she is a sweet as her name sounds)!??Cookie is a three-year-old Great Dane with a heart as big as her paws. This gorgeous girl is as sweet as she is smart, with a cuddly, affectionate nature that makes her impossible not to love. She’s smaller than your typical Dane, weighing in around 100 pounds, but she’s still working on reaching her healthy weight after spending her early years as a backyard breeder mama. Now that those days are behind her, Cookie is ready to discover what being a beloved family member truly feels like. Cookie has that perfect mix of puppy energy and gentle charm. She loves to run and play but is just as happy to curl up beside you for a nap when it’s time to unwind. She’s especially fond of her stuffed toys, which she proudly carries around like prized possessions. She’s dog- and kid-friendly, and while she might be okay with cats, it really depends on the cat.This sweet girl is crate trained, mostly housebroken (with just the occasional accident), and has a fantastic recall. She’s not a barker, but she does have a couple of classic Dane ‘quirks’— she drools like a pro and might sneak a counter-surfing adventure or two in if you’re not watching. Cookie can be a little timid around men, especially those wearing baseball caps, but with patience and reassurance, she comes out of her shell and shows her loving, goofy side.Cookie isn’t a fan of long car rides as she gets a little antsy, though she tolerates short ones without complaint. Mr Loyal! That is what describes this boy in one word. Romo was once owned by someone in Aruba who then moved to the Netherlands. They gave him to some friends that let him roam the streets. We found him strolling along at a bus stop with a huge hematoma on his ear. He jumped right in the car and we took him to the vet. He had surgery and has now recovered from it. We were asked to take him with us to the US as the new owners didn't have the means to take care of him. Romo is an extremely loyal dog, calm and quiet and at the same time friendly with people and dogs. He's is extremely well mannered. Call us to hear about him and learn why we think he is the most loyal dog. His previous owner says he is 4 years old ( the vet says 5) and if you look on our Facebook page you will see all his posts about him. Oh and yes he loves riding in the car with you. He is house broken, does not like the cage to much, but that's ok. He doesn't get himself in trouble in the house. This is a great big dog! He mostly looks like a Great Daner, but could also have some Labrador in it. He is not a drooler like the Danes are. He likes other dogs but will also do well when being just with his special person. We would like to adopt him out within 40 miles of Elgin. His adoption fee is $350 to help us with the cost for his plane ride and the associated vet expenses.

Meet Misty! She's a smart lady who is smart as a whip! She's crate trained, mastered many commands (sit, down, off, mat, enough, go to your room, here, all done- more than most kids :). She loves to run, play fetch and be wherever you are! She's a year and a half old, and was lucky enough to have professional training donated to help her find her forever home. Whoever adopts her will receive at least one free hand off session from her trainer to help her transition go perfectly! Her ideal family would be somewhat active (she needs to run around a yard at least a few times per day). She gets along well with other dogs, but calmer dogs are best. Misty loves to play, but she can get very excited if the other dog is too energetic! She would do well with older children. Younger children and cats would require a lot of supervision. Her trainer thinks she would be a great agility dog, but she is smart enough to do anything you want to train her to do! She will require some active parenting to teach her the rules of your house, because she is so smart, she may try to make her own activities if nothing fun is provided! She's potty trained now (we had some overnight accidents until she started going in her crate at night). She's a great dog with a good head on her shoulders, and she wants to know if you are the one for her! $200 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) $50 Temporary fuel surcharge.
