Meet Bam Bam
BamBam is 140 pounds of pure sweetness — a mellow, tender-hearted gentle giant who believes the best days include a nice walk, a good nap, a car ride, and plenty of love from his people.
This handsome boy has settled beautifully into his foster home and has found his perfect routine. He wakes up, heads outside to do his business, enjoys his breakfast, and then happily settles in for some serious relaxation time. He loves exploring the world on walks and watching the neighborhood from his favorite “perch” on the porch.
This sweet boy is great with people, kids, and other dogs. BamBam has also shown that his gentle personality extends to feline friends. He has spent time around a cat in his foster home and handled it like the laid-back gentleman he is. As with any new friendship, slow introductions are recommended. He truly believes everyone on the sidewalk is there to meet him, and he will happily stop and wag until he gets the attention he knows he deserves. Puppies can be a little overwhelming at first, but with slow introductions, BamBam adjusts well to their energy.
BamBam is potty trained, leash trained, and an excellent passenger for adventures. He LOVES car rides and hops right in, ready to go wherever life takes him. He does not currently know formal obedience commands like sit or stay, but he is learning and does respond well to helpful cues like “leave it.” An adult dog training class would be a great way to continue building his skills and confidence.
Like many Great Danes, BamBam has a little independent streak and sometimes likes to think things through before deciding if he agrees with your plan. Treats and toys are not always enough to convince him, but his sweet personality and willingness to learn make him a joy to work with. He is currently learning more obedience skills and already responds well to helpful cues like “leave it.” An adult training class would be a wonderful way to continue building his confidence and bond with his forever family.
BamBam would be a great match even for a first-time giant breed owner. He would enjoy having another dog friend but could also be perfectly content soaking up all the love as an only dog. A fenced yard where he can stretch his long legs would be wonderful, but he has also shown that he can enjoy city life.
BamBam is truly a special soul wrapped in a giant dog body. If you are looking for a loyal shadow, porch buddy, road trip partner, and oversized best friend, BamBam may be the gentle giant you have been waiting for.
Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. All approved applications are good for 12 months. Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. All dogs adopted from Just Giants Rescue are up to date on vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Some exceptions may apply. All adoption fees are non-refundable; Just Giants is a NFP 501(c)3 organization.
Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters.
Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate. Just Giants does not adopt outside of the continental US.
