Story
Cayde is a gentle, affectionate boy with a big heart and an even bigger love for his sister, Kassidy. These two are a bonded pair, and Cayde truly shines when she’s by his side. If you’re looking to welcome not just one, but two perfectly matched companions into your home, these siblings are ready to fill it with love, laughter, and lots of cozy moments, though one can be adopted by themselves if that’s all you have space for. Cayde is the kind of dog who makes you feel special just by being near him. He melts under a good head scratch, closing his eyes and leaning in as if he’s been waiting his whole life for that exact moment. He may not be the rowdiest pup in the room, but he is deeply affectionate and forms strong connections with his people. While Cayde can be a bit selective about his canine companions, one thing’s clear: he absolutely adores cats. He coexists with them calmly and respectfully, making him a great fit for a home that may have a few feline friends.

Story
How this pet arrived: Pickles was brought in by his previous owner on August 16, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Pickles is a smart cookie wrapped in a fluffy package - and just like his name, he's got a little tang! This clever boy can be shy when meeting new people and prefers a slow, gentle introduction. He's not a fan of too much handling or sharing his favorite snacks, so he's hoping to find a calm, lower-traffic home where he can feel secure. Pickles can be vocal around new people and other dogs, so he'd do best in a home without small children (ages 12+ only, and they must be present for the meet-and-greet). He's also quite selective with canine friends and would likely thrive as the only dog in the household. If there's a potential dog roommate, a meet-and-greet at the shelter will be required. Once Pickles feels safe and comfortable, his true personality shines - playful, active, and incredibly bright! He loves mental challenges and will excel in a home that can keep his mind busy with games, training, and positive reinforcement. Pickles is used to spending more time outdoors, so a secure yard would help him adjust to home life. With patience, consistency, and understanding, he'll reward you with his loyalty, affection, and one-of-a-kind charm. If you're looking for a brainy, unique companion who just needs a little time and love to blossom, Pickles At SDHS:Pickles has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Pickles is now ready for his new home! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 74.8 Age: 2yrs 7mths 1wks
