Story
Three puppies, two males named Tommy Boy and Trouble, and one female named Robin, were found as strays and taken to a kill shelter in Orange County. Tommy Boy and Robin both had parvo and Trouble had a fractured back leg. The AALOC team knew these young dogs didn’t stand a chance with their medical issues and would be euthanized, so a volunteer pulled them out of the kill shelter to receive the medical attention they needed and the chance to find forever homes at AALOC. Tommy Boy was treated for his parvo and has fully recovered. Tommy Boy’s coat is white and he is the biggest of the three puppies. We believe he is a Great Pyrenees mix but will probably not grow as large as a full bred Great Pyrenees. Tommy Boy is very playful and very sweet. He likes to be the center of attention and loves pets. We recommend he be adopted by someone who can provide the exercise he will need as a very active dog. Please apply to adopt Tommy Boy at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Tommy Boy and get to know him a bit. Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on our adoption policies visit our website at www.AALOC.org or contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org.

Story
Meet Rye 🌾 Rye is an almost 5-month-old sweetheart with a gentle, affectionate personality. She’s very smart, relatively quiet for a puppy, and has an easygoing temperament that makes her a joy to have around. She is crate trained and potty trained, doing exceptionally well for her age. Rye gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and children, and shows a calm, respectful demeanor with everyone she meets. She’s currently learning to walk on leash and is picking it up quickly thanks to her intelligence and eagerness to please. Rye was part of an accidental litter and is a mix of Great Pyrenees and Bluetick Hound—a combination that gives her a lovely balance of gentleness, loyalty, and curiosity. She enjoys being near her people, soaking up affection, and quietly observing the world around her. 💛 Adoption Fee: $850 The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention, microchip, spay (when age appropriate if not already completed), and overall veterinary care to date. Rye would thrive in a home looking for a loving, well-mannered puppy who is already off to a great start with training and socialization.

Story
Moses came to us a broken sole after spending over 8 months in a field homeless. When first spotted, all efforts to help him were made with no luck. As time went on he was getting weaker. Soon prayers were answered and he went in the trap. He was skin and bones, full of stickers. His ear was torn and his face and body showing evidence of a struggle to survive. We have been able to provide love, care, and lots of good meals for this king. He is a Great Pyrenees, about 8 years old. He is very gentle and kind to everyone he meets. He will be neutered in 2 weeks as he is dreaming of a loving home. Who will cherish this fine boy?
