Story
Three puppies, two males named Tommy Boy and Trouble, and one female named Robin, were found as strays and taken to a kill shelter in Orange County. Tommy Boy and Robin both had parvo and Trouble had a fractured back leg. The AALOC team knew these young dogs didn’t stand a chance with their medical issues and would be euthanized, so a volunteer pulled them out of the kill shelter to receive the medical attention they needed and the chance to find forever homes at AALOC. Tommy Boy was treated for his parvo and has fully recovered. Tommy Boy’s coat is white and he is the biggest of the three puppies. We believe he is a Great Pyrenees mix but will probably not grow as large as a full bred Great Pyrenees. Tommy Boy is very playful and very sweet. He likes to be the center of attention and loves pets. We recommend he be adopted by someone who can provide the exercise he will need as a very active dog. Please apply to adopt Tommy Boy at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Tommy Boy and get to know him a bit. Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on our adoption policies visit our website at www.AALOC.org or contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org.

Story
How this pet arrived: Pickles was brought in by his previous owner on August 16, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Pickles is a smart cookie wrapped in a fluffy package - and just like his name, he's got a little tang! This clever boy can be shy when meeting new people and prefers a slow, gentle introduction. He's not a fan of too much handling or sharing his favorite snacks, so he's hoping to find a calm, lower-traffic home where he can feel secure. Pickles can be vocal around new people and other dogs, so he'd do best in a home without small children (ages 12+ only, and they must be present for the meet-and-greet). He's also quite selective with canine friends and would likely thrive as the only dog in the household. If there's a potential dog roommate, a meet-and-greet at the shelter will be required. Once Pickles feels safe and comfortable, his true personality shines - playful, active, and incredibly bright! He loves mental challenges and will excel in a home that can keep his mind busy with games, training, and positive reinforcement. Pickles is used to spending more time outdoors, so a secure yard would help him adjust to home life. With patience, consistency, and understanding, he'll reward you with his loyalty, affection, and one-of-a-kind charm. If you're looking for a brainy, unique companion who just needs a little time and love to blossom, Pickles At SDHS:Pickles has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Pickles is now ready for his new home! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 74.8 Age: 2yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
Meet Winston, a brindle Boxer mix with a heart full of love and a personality that will keep you smiling! This bundle of joy is as sweet as they come and by far the funniest! When hes happy in an open field, he bounces like a bunny, and nothing makes him happier than hopping around with a stick or a soccer ball. Winston adores people and always wants to be by your side, often resting his paw on your lap just to be a little closer. He's a big fan of ear scratches, weekend coffee dates (especially if a puppuccino is involved), and making new friends. Great with other dogs and older kids, Winston is ready to bring endless love, laughter, and companionship to his forever home! Please visit our website www.promise4paws.org to fill out an adoption application to this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.
