Story
Spotakus (Spot) for short is a sweet, gentle, and friendly Livestock Gaurdian. He is about 2 years old and has been exposed to livestocksince birth. He's naturally shy with new people but has never shown an ounce of aggression; he's never even growled. He is the most gentle giant. True to his guardian instincts, he keeps predators away and thrives in a working environment with livestock. He has worked with sheep, a small group of cows, goats, and poultry. Spot needs a property where he can do the job he was born for and a person who will give him time, patience, and consistency. His parents are purebred, and he’s healthy, well-mannered with a ton of potential.

Story
Ashley is a purebred Armenian Gampr but they don't have that option on adopt a pet They are an ancient breed that is not very common in the United States, but they are very common in Southern California where there's a large Armenian population so quite a few end up at the kill shelters and even though she was very adoptable and sweet at the shelter, that shelter gives dogs and average of 15 days to find a home before they are euthanized for space. She is young, healthy and vibrant and very affectionate with every new person she meets, she is so social and just loves all humans. She is a big energetic girl and she is a lot of dog so she needs a strong owner who is confident. She has gotten along well with some of my easy going dogs but she doesn't get along with all dogs. She is a very dominant female and if any dog snapped at her age would definitely snap back. Looking for a pet home for her, we don't know if she is okay with livestock but she is not good with cats.. Please email if interested and tell me about yourself

Story
Jolene is exquisite. When she first came to her foster home, she was so terrified she barely left her crate for four days. Slowly but surely, her puppy-like curiosity won over her fear, and over several weeks, she blossomed from barely tolerating being in the same room as her foster humans, to slowly warming up to their presence and finally accepting pets, following her humans around, and wanting to be in the same room. Jolene is still a shy girl, earning her the nickname Jolenie-Weenie, but her playful spirit and sweet disposition are shining through more each day. She is fiercely intelligent- she knows simple commands, quickly understood potty training, and learned to use a doorbell to ask to go outside. She loves going outside to run and play, but is still terrified of the leash and therefore hasn’t been able to go on walks yet. She would do best in a home with a larger fenced-in yard for her to play and run off her puppy energy. She loves other dogs and would do well in a home with another dog to play with and help her gain some confidence.  She does well in her crate and with potty training—does well with going outside to potty, and knows to use puppy pads for accidents/emergencies. She learned to use the doorbell within two days (Pro: knows to use the doorbell to go outside to potty. Con: loves to go outside and will ring the doorbell even if the door is open if she wants you to come outside with her to play.) She’s got lots of adorable playful puppy energy. She’s a talented chewer—soft toys don’t stand a chance! She does still chew on other things like a puppy and has a special affinity for shoes, but she’s quickly learning and understanding what is ok to chew on and what is not ok, but will need ongoing patience and instruction. Jolene is looking for a home with humans who have plenty of love and patience to work with her on overcoming her fear of the leash, continue working on her with training, and will give her time and space to readjust as she transitions to her new home. Her fosters love her so deeply, but know there is a family out there who will be perfect for Jolene to thrive with.  ##2528637##

Story
She is a sweet, playful, cuddly dog who gets scared easily and prefers to stay close to her people. She is fully crate trained—her crate is her “bedroom.” She goes in with the command “bedroom” and waits for “release” before coming out. She sleeps in her crate at night and stays there when we’re gone. She’s great with kids and friendly with other animals. She wants to play with cats but doesn’t always know how, so she needs supervision. She sometimes tries to herd our kids, which is natural for her breed. She may nip when excited, and we are working on that. She knows “wait” for her food and won’t eat until we say “eat it.” She is still learning manners around doors (may try to run out) and people food (needs reminders to lie down during meals). She is very loving, goofy, and thrives on being close to her family.

Story
Moby is a lovable and energetic boy who would thrive in an active home. His story is as heartwarming as it is inspiring. He was dumped at a post office along with his littermates, but his resilient spirit has never wavered. If you are looking for a loyal, fun loving companion who is always up for an adventure, Moby is ready to meet you!He has a playful side that shines when he gets to chew on his favorite toys, especially bones. He also loves to play fetch with a tennis ball! He is eager to find a forever home that can keep up with his playful energy and shower him with the love and attention he deserves.Like many rescues, he still has a few things he is working on. He can be a little nervous around men, but with patience and understanding, he continues to improve. He does best with supervision during playtime with other dogs and may be happiest as the only dog in the home. He will also need a cat and child free environment. He graduated from a month long prison program training on 4/3! He got an A+ report and learned so much from his time there. The prison offers life long training recaps after adoption which is a great way to keep up with training. He is at the shelter in Fort Lupton. If you are interested in meeting him, please submit an adoption application on our website and head to the shelter to meet this sweet boy! Please email adopt@souldog.org with any questions!
