Story
Moby is a lovable and energetic boy who would thrive in an active home. His story is as heartwarming as it is inspiring. He was dumped at a post office along with his littermates, but his resilient spirit has never wavered. If you are looking for a loyal, fun loving companion who is always up for an adventure, Moby is ready to meet you!He has a playful side that shines when he gets to chew on his favorite toys, especially bones. He also loves to play fetch with a tennis ball! He is eager to find a forever home that can keep up with his playful energy and shower him with the love and attention he deserves.Like many rescues, he still has a few things he is working on. He can be a little nervous around men, but with patience and understanding, he continues to improve. He does best with supervision during playtime with other dogs and may be happiest as the only dog in the home. He will also need a cat and child free environment. He graduated from a month long prison program training on 4/3! He got an A+ report and learned so much from his time there. The prison offers life long training recaps after adoption which is a great way to keep up with training. He is at the shelter in Fort Lupton. If you are interested in meeting him, please submit an adoption application on our website and head to the shelter to meet this sweet boy! Please email adopt@souldog.org with any questions!

Story
Spotakus (Spot) for short is a sweet, gentle, and friendly Livestock Gaurdian. He is about 2 years old and has been exposed to livestocksince birth. He's naturally shy with new people but has never shown an ounce of aggression; he's never even growled. He is the most gentle giant. True to his guardian instincts, he keeps predators away and thrives in a working environment with livestock. He has worked with sheep, a small group of cows, goats, and poultry. Spot needs a property where he can do the job he was born for and a person who will give him time, patience, and consistency. His parents are purebred, and he’s healthy, well-mannered with a ton of potential.

Story
Junie is a sweet, fully potty trained, and well behaved 3-year old female Colorado Mountain Dog! She loves people, of all ages (especially kids), and other canine playmates. She needs a loving and patient home with a fair amount of land so she can run, and preferably have a job. She loves the ranch life and gets along with others, but I moved from the ranching life. She needs more room than I have and I'd love to see her thrive in a family who can give her what she needs. She is quiet, unless there is something outside at night. She loves toys, bones, treats, and the occasional dropped food scraps. She is very silly and always brings humor to the day! She will only sleep in a dog bed and has done so since she was a puppy. I never knew why; I think the previous owner/breeder taught her this. She needs to run to be the best behaved dog. If she doesn't, she'll have some behavior issues. She knows vocal commands, on-leash and off. Please reach out with questions.

Story
**Meet Stuart (aka Mr. Stu, aka Mellow Yellow)** Stuart is a 6-month-old bundle of calm, cuddly joy who is ready to find his forever people. True to his nickname, Mr. Stu is a happy-go-lucky, go-with-the-flow kind of pup who is always down for whatever his humans are doing. Walk? He’s in. Couch time and TV? Absolutely—he’ll bring a stuffy and snuggle right in. Stu is crate trained, about 95% potty trained, and doing great on leash. He *loves* his stuffies and has the softest, cashmere-like fur, basically he's a real-life stuffed animal himself. Add in his soulful, movie-star eyes (almost too pretty for a boy dog), and you’ve got a pup who steals hearts wherever he goes. He enjoys mealtime, loves other dogs, and adores human affection. Stu has a naturally gentle, charming demeanor and just wants to be close to his people. He can be a little shy at first and is still learning that the big world isn’t so scary.  Things like loud trucks, squawking geese and getting into cars can make him nervous. That said, he’s already showing great progress, especially when relaxing jazz or acoustic music helps him settle in the car. With patience and positive experiences (and some park trips!), he’s well on his way to being a confident adventure buddy. Bonus fun fact: Stu’s brother was adopted by extended family, so sibling playdates are totally possible! If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow, goofy cuddle bug who will fit beautifully into your life, Stuart is an incredible “starter pup” and an even better best friend. He’s ready to give his whole heart to a loving home—could that be yours? ##2627740##

Story
Annie, Pyrenees/Australian, 2 yrs. Annie She is a very sweet dog, but she will need to go to a home with someone who has experience with these types of breeds. This is a guardian dog and a working breed. She can walk on a leash, and I can take her food from her while she’s eating with no problems. Her world is a bit upside down right now but despite all that, she is just a goofy ball of love that is looking for her forever home. Her owner has been dealing with a cancer diagnosis and unfortunately her treatments did not go as hoped and I have been given the go ahead to find this beautiful girl a new home. She was raised with a St. Bernard and gets along fine with a Siberian husky. She also lives with a cat, and she mostly ignores it, but I don’t think she would be a great fit for a home with just a cat and no other dogs. Looking for a home with someone home most of the time and another young dog. More information to come. Courtesy listing. Call Cindy 970-353-1385

Story
I'm thrilled to introduce you to Asha, one of the sweetest, silky-soft furballs you'll ever meet. Asha is a delightful Great Pyrenees/American Bulldog mix, just 7 months old, weighing in at 54 lbs. and can't wait to meet her forever family.  She has a heart full of love for her people and enjoys running around, playing with other dogs, and has done well with children once introduced. Although we’re still unsure about her interactions with cats, she does have a fondness for chasing the squirrels that visit the yard.   Asha recently completed a fantastic 4-week training program through the Department of Corrections' Cell Dog Training. This amazing experience has helped her master most of her basic commands and even a few tricks. Asha is eager to please, very treat-motivated, and has so much potential. Her trainer highlighted that socialization with both dogs and humans will be highly beneficial. Being her Alpha/Leader will be key to her continued success. To assist with her socialization, Asha is currently enrolled in doggy day care with her foster family.   You'll be pleased to know that Asha is potty-trained and hasn't had an accident in a couple of months. She does tend to counter surf when left alone and occasionally steals others' treats, but she's been diligently working on improving this through her training.   Asha is now ready to find her forever home where she can continue to grow and share her love. If you have any questions or would like to meet this adorable pup, please feel free to reach out.  Put in an application at eapl.com Her adoption fee is $375   Asha's DNA results are back.  It's very interesting and she is definitely a mixture!  Lol 39%  Great Pyrenees 21% American Bulldog 15% American Staffordshire Terrier 13% Greyhound 12% American Pit Bull Terrier  January 26, 2026, 8:10 am

Story
Charlie and his siblings Dennis, Dee, and Mac have an always sunny disposition. They are spunky, happy friendly and curious. Their favorite past time is hanging out by one of the ponds. They don't quite swim yet but definitely love water. Great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. Love to cuddle. Do not love being a crate though. They will each make perfect family dogs or adventure buddies for a single person or couple. They are some of the best puppies I've ever met. They were surrendered to a small rural shelter as an accidental litter. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: lifetime free microchip, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, too young/small for neuter and heartworm test. Story
Mac and his siblings found themselves at a small rural shelter with no foot traffic so we got them out. Mac is curious and independent and loving and adventurous. He loves water and he spends most of his day exploring the woods and ponds on the property. He is super smart too. His siblings are all fluffier than he is and look more shepherd like than he does. He has more of a heeler look in terms of coloring and shape but based on their sizes and their growth since I got them, I believe they will be big dogs. Big, happy, friendly, loving dogs. He is about 4 months old. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well.
