Story
Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Palomino is our graceful Great Pyrenees puppy, born around February 6, 2024. Weighing 21 pounds as of May 8, 2024, Palomino survived being stranded on the side of a rural road  with her parents, who tragically had ropes tied around their necks and were found deceased. Palomino and her siblings were desperately trying to nurse from their dead mother when they were rescued.  The puppies were split into three groups between three rescues due to the amount of care they required.  Unfortunately, all the puppies were extremely sick when they arrived at the rescue, and shortly after, they contracted parvo. Thanks to dedicated care and her fighting spirit, Palomino was one of three that survived.  Palomino is the leader of her pack.  She is very smart and loving.   Palomino is going to be about 75 pounds when fully grown.  They also have issues with extreme heat due to their coat.  The breed is also notorious fence climbers.   This pup is not being adopted to be a working dog living with livestock.  She wants to sign up for the AC living room.  Palomino still needs to learn how to walk on a leash and would thrive in a home that can provide the training and patience she needs. Her adoption fee is $300. If you're looking to add joy and companionship to your life, consider adopting Teddi. For more information or to arrange a meet-and-greet, please fill out an application at www.adoggie4you.org. Bring Palomino home and give her the loving family she deserves! This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 7, 2024, 4:01 pm

Story
Available in TX! Meet Honey, affectionately known as Honey Boo Boo-a 5-month-old female Great Pyrenees mix with a heart full of sweetness and a playful spirit! Though she was a bit shy at first, Honey quickly came out of her shell and now thrives on attention and cuddles. Honey is super smart and knows exactly when it's time to head to her gated spot for meals and bedtime. While she's not the biggest fan of the crate, she's doing wonderfully in a more open, closed-off space like the laundry room with a baby gate. She's making great progress with potty training and is starting to follow her canine friends to the back door when nature calls. This silly girl loves toys and enjoys zooming around, although balls aren't quite her thing. Honey adores kids and is learning how to play with other dogs-she's even got the resident Lab and older dog chasing after her! Honey would make a fantastic addition to any family looking for a sweet, silly companion with a big heart and lots of love to give. Be prepared to welcome a bundle of joy into your home! Story
PLEASE DIRECT INQUIRIES ABOUT ADOPTABLE DOGS TO OUR FACEBOOK. WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO PROCESS APPLICATIONS VIA EMAIL DUE TO LIMITED STAFF. OUR CONTACT IS THROUGH FACEBOOK MESSENGER. https://www.facebook.com/REDRescueEveryDog/ Katya is a 1.5 year old (DOB 2021), spayed, Great Pyrenees (GP). GP dogs are a livestock guardian breed. Katya has been a very sweet girl in her current caregiver’s home and farm. She likes people she meets. Note: she has had no experience with young children. She lives with other dogs and, in that situation, is considered a lower member when it comes to pack dynamics. She has been good with horses and mule livestock. At this time, she is NOT free-range chicken approved. She has been easy to bathe and groom. When she doesn't like you brushing or something, she'll just gently take your hand in her mouth. That is a very normal GP reaction. Since she is a Great Pyrenees, she barks when outside and can hear, smell, or sense change or predators, as this is a livestock guardians’ job. Like all great Pyrenees, she will dig holes and has dug under fences. This is a thing for many GP. They are an amazing breed but require a bit higher-level dog skills and involvement that create kind pack leadership. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Adoption donation is $450.00 to help cover his neuter, daily care, vetting, etc. THIS DOG IS IN FOSTER CARE IN POULSBO, WA. MEET AND GREETS WILL TAKE PLACE THERE AS WELL. REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION: - Securely and visibly fenced yard - Sturdy/safe crate, due to the safety hazard wire crates will be not be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). - Western Washington (WA), and possibly Northern Oregon locations at caseworker discretion. No other out of state adoptions at this time. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adoption please fill out an application here: http://www.rescueeverydog.org/Adoption.php Answers to the application MUST be sent via message on Facebook (we do not receive applications sent via email) 1.
