Story
Animal Profile: Tessa is approximately 2 years old, 49 lb spayed female super blend of Shepherd, Husky, and a handful of other breeds. She joined us along with her three siblings on 1/13/23 from Texas. She is dog friendly and great with people. Ideally, we would like to see her go to a home with a securely fenced yard and a fellow canine companion. Foster Update: If you are looking for a gentle, goofy, happy and super sweet girl, Tessa could be the one for you!  She is really a special girl with so much love to give.  Tessa takes a little time to warm up to meeting new people but once shes does she becomes your biggest fan! She loves to smile, snuggle, play and knows all the best looks to completely win you over! Her eye contact game is on point! Tessa hasn’t met a dog she didn’t like and immediately cozy up to and ask to play. Rain or shine, Tessa absolutely loves being outside in the yard and romping, running and tossing toys around, or just as content lying in the grass watching the birds and soaking up the sun. Tessa loves going on truck rides and exploring things with her foster family. She does really well when left alone at home with her foster sister, but does not like to be solo. The idea family for Tessa is one with with previous dog experience or with another playful well-adjusted dog to help her become comfortable in her new home and live her best life. She has learned sit, wait, drop it, get a toy, down, and her recall is pretty great as long as there are no squirrels in sight! She’s made a lot of progress with her confidence and has pretty great leash manners.  Tessa completed a four-week board and train with K9 Command and she made really great progress with leash confidence and commands. We have no doubt she is capable of learning so much more with the right person providing structure, love, support and consistency. When adopted, Tessa will get an in person training session and lifetime trainer support provided by K9 Command to help get her off to a great start with her new family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner in Texas and arrived in Seattle area foster care on 1/13/23.July 18, 2024, 5:40 am

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Harley and it comes from the Old English origin meaning 'Hare Meadow', which represents a peaceful and serene image. Just nothing like seeing a Pyr laying in the yard watching! Unfortunately my elderly owner is not able to care for me any longer but I'm trying not to let it get me down as I look for another family to adopt. Did you know that I came from royalty? The Pyrenees breed came from France where we made our way up from being a peasant farmers dog to the royal court being named the royal dog of France in 1675. Even Queen Victoria had a Pyr. We are strong willed and can sometimes be stubborn but more importantly we are affectionate, patient, confident, fearless and gentle. It is said that we wouldn't make a good breed for first timers but if you're aware of the negative traits (sometimes stubborn & lots of hair) along with the awesome good traits, we could definitely make it work. As a youngster at only around a year and a half old, I do have some basic obedience training, am well mannered, I don't jump up unless invited and have a sweet, loving warm nature that just adores getting 'good boys' from my people. I am a big boy of snowy white fluff. I will need several weekly brushings to keep my royal self tangle free and looking dapper and the vacuum will be an extension of your arm with me around but the reward of my adoring love for you will sooooo be worth it!! A couple of daily 45 minute walks a day should be enough to keep me happy. With that daily exercise in I can do quite well in town with a yard or in the country. I fall into the 3 G category which is Gorgeous, Gentle and Giant. Instinctively nurturing with the flock or family, we do make great family members. Just make sure the couch is big enough for sharing!!! My breed tend to love being with the family and are content to lay at or on your feet or curled up with you on that big enough couch. I'm here to adopt me a family and since you're reading this you must being missing something special in your life too, could it possibly be...ME?!!

Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas anc can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
Introducing our lovable furry friend! This charming pup is a people-person through and through—ready to soak up all the pets and attention from anyone, including strangers! However, when it comes to little ones, sudden movements and loud noises can startle him a bit. If children are calm and gentle, he's happy to hang out. Although he's not a fan of being carried or lifted up, he's a big fan of canine companions, especially smaller or similar-sized dogs. He's a true protector, but only when needed—stepping up if other dogs are too rowdy or aggressive. Birds? Squirrels? They definitely catch his eye during walks, but with a bit of leash training, he's working on his focus. In terms of energy, he's got the perfect balance—loving outdoor adventures but a total zen master indoors. While he might tug a little on walks, once he settles, he's an excellent leash follower. Busy streets can be overwhelming, so quieter spots are more his style. No guarding resources from people, but he might issue a gentle growl if other dogs get too close. When it's time to travel, he prefers a cozy crate in the car—helping ease those nerves and avoiding any car sickness. One thing's for sure—he's a potty pro outdoors only! Basic commands like sit, stay, paw, and eye contact? Nailed it! And did we mention he's a sucker for ice cubes? If you're ready to welcome this gentle giant into your heart and home, reach out to our team today to make him a part of your family!
