Story
**Special foster needed for this sweet gal. Please reach out to Ashlyn 253-217-8685 if you are interested in fostering Tessa.  Animal Profile: Tessa is approximately 2 years old, 49 lb spayed female super blend of Shepherd, Husky, and a handful of other breeds. She joined us along with her three siblings on 1/13/23 from Texas. She is dog friendly and great with people. Ideally, we would like to see her go to a home with a securely fenced yard and a fellow canine companion. Foster Update: If you are looking for a gentle, goofy, happy and super sweet girl, Tessa could be the one for you!  She is really a special girl with so much love to give.  Tessa takes a little time to warm up to meeting new people but once shes does she becomes your biggest fan! She loves to smile, snuggle, play and knows all the best looks to completely win you over! Her eye contact game is on point! Tessa hasn’t met a dog she didn’t like and immediately cozy up to and ask to play. Rain or shine, Tessa absolutely loves being outside in the yard and romping, running and tossing toys around, or just as content lying in the grass watching the birds and soaking up the sun. Tessa loves going on truck rides and exploring things with her foster family. She does really well when left alone at home with her foster sister, but does not like to be solo. The idea family for Tessa is one with with previous dog experience or with another playful well-adjusted dog to help her become comfortable in her new home and live her best life. She has learned sit, wait, drop it, get a toy, down, and her recall is pretty great as long as there are no squirrels in sight!  Tessa completed a four-week board and train with K9 Command and she made really great progress with leash confidence and commands. We have no doubt she is capable of learning so much more with the right person providing structure, love, support and consistency. When adopted, Tessa will get an in person training session and lifetime trainer support provided by K9 Command to help get her off to a great start with her new family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner in Texas and arrived in Seattle area foster care on 1/13/23.May 28, 2024, 3:38 pm

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Harley and it comes from the Old English origin meaning 'Hare Meadow', which represents a peaceful and serene image. Just nothing like seeing a Pyr laying in the yard watching! Unfortunately my elderly owner is not able to care for me any longer but I'm trying not to let it get me down as I look for another family to adopt. Did you know that I came from royalty? The Pyrenees breed came from France where we made our way up from being a peasant farmers dog to the royal court being named the royal dog of France in 1675. Even Queen Victoria had a Pyr. We are strong willed and can sometimes be stubborn but more importantly we are affectionate, patient, confident, fearless and gentle. It is said that we wouldn't make a good breed for first timers but if you're aware of the negative traits (sometimes stubborn & lots of hair) along with the awesome good traits, we could definitely make it work. As a youngster at only around a year and a half old, I do have some basic obedience training, am well mannered, I don't jump up unless invited and have a sweet, loving warm nature that just adores getting 'good boys' from my people. I am a big boy of snowy white fluff. I will need several weekly brushings to keep my royal self tangle free and looking dapper and the vacuum will be an extension of your arm with me around but the reward of my adoring love for you will sooooo be worth it!! A couple of daily 45 minute walks a day should be enough to keep me happy. With that daily exercise in I can do quite well in town with a yard or in the country. I fall into the 3 G category which is Gorgeous, Gentle and Giant. Instinctively nurturing with the flock or family, we do make great family members. Just make sure the couch is big enough for sharing!!! My breed tend to love being with the family and are content to lay at or on your feet or curled up with you on that big enough couch. I'm here to adopt me a family and since you're reading this you must being missing something special in your life too, could it possibly be...ME?!!

Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Oso - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! The name Oso from the Spanish origin meaning 'bear' fits me just right, not too hard but not too soft. Oops wrong story. I more resemble a big ole polar bear. Big, white and fluffy, so maybe a little soft. :) I miss having a family so I'm hoping my new family will be right around the corner. You see, I was abandoned at a apartment complex. Luckily I was found and brought into this rescue where I'll have my best chance of having that loving fur-ever (the furever part is very important to me) family where I'll be safe and loved (also very important to me). I'm such a good boy that is very affectionate and sweet. I'm good with all people, tall or small, good with the other foster pups here and I'm already house trained. Wow, if you ask me and not to toot my own horn or anything but a special person(s) gonna be getting a real great catch!! I am a pretty big boy coming in around 90lbs but the good news is...at around a year old I am at my adult size! I may be a big boy but that just means there is more of me to love on you! I'm a gentle giant that loves to be loved on and there is nothing better then getting belly rubs and ear scratches! At only around a year old I am still playful and will need some daily walks or exercise but with that in should do fine in town with a yard, out in the country or anywhere in between. With my hairytage my coat will need brushing a few times a week and maybe even a professional grooming once in a while to keep me looking my handsomest self! I will also leave hair on the floor and on the couch (or my doggie bed) and you'll use your vacuum a lot! But my loving nature and soulful expressive eyes will make it all so worth it!!! If you've never been loved by a Pyr before, you don't know what you're missing! If you're searching for a family member that is gentle with a sweet nature, look no further I could be that boy!! Just fill out my adoption application and I'll take it from there!

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Rainier! He is a beautiful, 3-year-old, 75 lb Great Pyrenees who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding his forever home here in WA! Rainier is a very sweet and gentle boy. He gets along very well with others and would make a great additional dog to a home or be fine as an only dog soaking up all the love and attention from his people. He is a very loyal dog, and once he feels he can trust you, he will be right by your side forever. Rainier bonds deeply with his people, and would love a family that is home often and/or takes him wherever they go as much as possible. He would do best in a standalone home with a large fenced yard to explore. No apartment or city life for him. Once he opens up, Rainier is a big goofball! He loves to lay on his back for belly rubs, lean into you for pets, and just be right next to you all the time. He is a huge love bug! He is a well-balanced dog of being a great adventure partner and also a snuggle bug on the couch when you need things to quiet down. Rainier is going to make a wonderful addition to any lucky household that adopts him! Ranier is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Look at that face! Kara is impossible to resist. This sweet 5-year-old Great Pyrenees is eager to find her new humans. She's looking for a family that's home often and can give her plenty of cuddles and treats. Kara is nervous in new situations and with new people and is looking for experienced adopters who can help her build her confidence through positive experiences and allowing Kara to set the pace for interaction. She startles with loud noises and is looking for a home in a quiet area. Once she trusts you, she's all about those pets, and gives excellent kisses. Kara may do well with some dogs given a slow introduction but is nervous when first meeting new dogs and any introductions should be done slowly. Kara is looking for a home with no cats or other small animals. Kara is looking for a quiet, adult only home and is not a fit for an apartment or condo environment. She would love to have a fenced backyard for outside time. If you're ready to open up your heart and home to this gentle giant, send in an adoption application today! #cuddler #nokids
