This boy is kind, jolly and has a fun pizazz for life. He is a bit of a goofball, and we really like him. He has gotten along with other fun playful dogs while with us, including smaller sized dogs and a few puppies. He has also met dog savvy kids and done well with them. He truly enjoys being around people and chilling with his humans. He has some typical GP traits, he crates, and goes to the bathroom outside. He loves toys, and has basic leash skills. He is working on basic commands so his future family should have a good training plan to continue to work with and teach things to this fun boy. His foster mom loved him, and we can't wait to match him to his forever family. PLEASE DIRECT INQUIRIES ABOUT ADOPTABLE DOGS TO OUR FACEBOOK. WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO PROCESS APPLICATIONS VIA EMAIL DUE TO LIMITED STAFF. OUR CONTACT IS THROUGH FACEBOOK MESSENGER. https://www.facebook.com/REDRescueEveryDog/ Katya is a 1.5 year old (DOB 2021), spayed, Great Pyrenees (GP). GP dogs are a livestock guardian breed. Katya has been a very sweet girl in her current caregiver’s home and farm. She likes people she meets. Note: she has had no experience with young children. She lives with other dogs and, in that situation, is considered a lower member when it comes to pack dynamics. She has been good with horses and mule livestock. At this time, she is NOT free-range chicken approved. She has been easy to bathe and groom. When she doesn't like you brushing or something, she'll just gently take your hand in her mouth. That is a very normal GP reaction. Since she is a Great Pyrenees, she barks when outside and can hear, smell, or sense change or predators, as this is a livestock guardians’ job. Like all great Pyrenees, she will dig holes and has dug under fences. This is a thing for many GP. They are an amazing breed but require a bit higher-level dog skills and involvement that create kind pack leadership. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas anc can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
Welcome Joy to CCPAL Rescue. Joy is a 2 year old Great Pyranese. She weighs about 90 lb. She was adopted as a pup from the rescue. She was returned because she is protective of her owner. Joy is a Guardian breed. This is what this breed is bred to do. We would like someone that would like a guardian breed. This breed is a perfect flock dog. They can keep sheep, goat, chickens or any other flock safe from predators. She can also be a great family pet. She just needs to know who the alpha person is in the family and she will follow their lead. She is gentle, kennel trained, leash trained, doesn’t jump up and potty trained. She is a wonderful dog and will make some lucky family a great pet. She looks like a pure GP. She has the extra toe on the back feet which is indicative of this breed. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted in Texas. We can also work with one of our wonderful transport friends to get her to Washtington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to Baker! She is a one year old, 65lb Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd mix, who came to us as a stray from overcrowded shelter in CA. Baker is a very sweet girl who gets along well with all people. She is has a great temperament and loves to be right next to her person. She walks well on leash and prefers to stay right by your side. Baker would enjoy a yard of her own to lounge and play. She can do well with other dogs and be picky with some, she would be great as an only dog with continued socialization, or with another dog that is a confident neutral male. Baker will make such a loyal companion for her lucky adopter. She is UTD on vaccinations as well as spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
**Special foster needed for this sweet gal. Please reach out to Ashlyn 253-217-8685 if you are interested in fostering Tessa.  Animal Profile: Tessa is approximately 2 years old, 49 lb spayed female super blend of Shepherd, Husky, and a handful of other breeds. She joined us along with her three siblings on 1/13/23 from Texas. She is dog friendly and great with people. Ideally, we would like to see her go to a home with a securely fenced yard and a fellow canine companion. Foster Update: If you are looking for a gentle, goofy, happy and super sweet girl, Tessa could be the one for you! She is really a special girl with so much love to give.  Tessa takes a little time to warm up to meeting new people but once shes does she becomes your biggest fan! She loves to smile, snuggle, play and knows all the best looks to completely win you over! Her eye contact game is on point! Tessa hasn’t met a dog she didn’t like and immediately cozy up to and ask to play. Rain or shine, Tessa absolutely loves being outside in the yard and romping, running and tossing toys around, or just as content lying in the grass watching the birds and soaking up the sun. She does really well when left alone at home with her foster sister, but does not like to be solo. The idea family for Tessa is one with with previous dog experience or with another playful well-adjusted dog to help her become comfortable in her new home and live her best life. She has learned sit, wait, drop it, get a toy, down, and her recall is pretty great as long as there are no squirrels in sight!  Tessa completed a four-week board and train with K9 Command and she made really great progress with leash confidence and commands. We have no doubt she is capable of learning so much more with the right person providing structure, love, support and consistency. When adopted, Tessa will get an in person training session and lifetime trainer support provided by K9 Command to help get her off to a great start with her new family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner in Texas and arrived in Seattle area foster care on 1/13/23.March 27, 2024, 12:20 pm
