Story
Introducing our lovable furry friend! This charming pup is a people-person through and through—ready to soak up all the pets and attention from anyone, including strangers! However, when it comes to little ones, sudden movements and loud noises can startle him a bit. If children are calm and gentle, he's happy to hang out. Although he's not a fan of being carried or lifted up, he's a big fan of canine companions, especially smaller or similar-sized dogs. He's a true protector, but only when needed—stepping up if other dogs are too rowdy or aggressive. Birds? Squirrels? They definitely catch his eye during walks, but with a bit of leash training, he's working on his focus. In terms of energy, he's got the perfect balance—loving outdoor adventures but a total zen master indoors. While he might tug a little on walks, once he settles, he's an excellent leash follower. Busy streets can be overwhelming, so quieter spots are more his style. No guarding resources from people, but he might issue a gentle growl if other dogs get too close. When it's time to travel, he prefers a cozy crate in the car—helping ease those nerves and avoiding any car sickness. One thing's for sure—he's a potty pro outdoors only! Basic commands like sit, stay, paw, and eye contact? Nailed it! And did we mention he's a sucker for ice cubes? If you're ready to welcome this gentle giant into your heart and home, reach out to our team today to make him a part of your family! **Special foster needed for this sweet gal. Please reach out to Ashlyn 253-217-8685 if you are interested in fostering Tessa.  Animal Profile: Tessa is approximately 2 years old, 49 lb spayed female super blend of Shepherd, Husky, and a handful of other breeds. She joined us along with her three siblings on 1/13/23 from Texas. She is dog friendly and great with people. Ideally, we would like to see her go to a home with a securely fenced yard and a fellow canine companion. Foster Update: If you are looking for a gentle, goofy, happy and super sweet girl, Tessa could be the one for you! She is really a special girl with so much love to give.  Tessa takes a little time to warm up to meeting new people but once shes does she becomes your biggest fan! She loves to smile, snuggle, play and knows all the best looks to completely win you over! Her eye contact game is on point! Tessa hasn’t met a dog she didn’t like and immediately cozy up to and ask to play. Rain or shine, Tessa absolutely loves being outside in the yard and romping, running and tossing toys around, or just as content lying in the grass watching the birds and soaking up the sun. She does really well when left alone at home with her foster sister, but does not like to be solo. The idea family for Tessa is one with with previous dog experience or with another playful well-adjusted dog to help her become comfortable in her new home and live her best life. She has learned sit, wait, drop it, get a toy, down, and her recall is pretty great as long as there are no squirrels in sight!  Tessa completed a four-week board and train with K9 Command and she made really great progress with leash confidence and commands. We have no doubt she is capable of learning so much more with the right person providing structure, love, support and consistency. When adopted, Tessa will get an in person training session and lifetime trainer support provided by K9 Command to help get her off to a great start with her new family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner in Texas and arrived in Seattle area foster care on 1/13/23.May 8, 2024, 4:31 am

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Harley and it comes from the Old English origin meaning 'Hare Meadow', which represents a peaceful and serene image. Just nothing like seeing a Pyr laying in the yard watching! Unfortunately my elderly owner is not able to care for me any longer but I'm trying not to let it get me down as I look for another family to adopt. Did you know that I came from royalty? The Pyrenees breed came from France where we made our way up from being a peasant farmers dog to the royal court being named the royal dog of France in 1675. Even Queen Victoria had a Pyr. We are strong willed and can sometimes be stubborn but more importantly we are affectionate, patient, confident, fearless and gentle. It is said that we wouldn't make a good breed for first timers but if you're aware of the negative traits (sometimes stubborn & lots of hair) along with the awesome good traits, we could definitely make it work. As a youngster at only around a year and a half old, I do have some basic obedience training, am well mannered, I don't jump up unless invited and have a sweet, loving warm nature that just adores getting 'good boys' from my people. I am a big boy of snowy white fluff. I will need several weekly brushings to keep my royal self tangle free and looking dapper and the vacuum will be an extension of your arm with me around but the reward of my adoring love for you will sooooo be worth it!! A couple of daily 45 minute walks a day should be enough to keep me happy. With that daily exercise in I can do quite well in town with a yard or in the country. I fall into the 3 G category which is Gorgeous, Gentle and Giant. Instinctively nurturing with the flock or family, we do make great family members. Just make sure the couch is big enough for sharing!!! My breed tend to love being with the family and are content to lay at or on your feet or curled up with you on that big enough couch. I'm here to adopt me a family and since you're reading this you must being missing something special in your life too, could it possibly be...ME?!!

Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Oso - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! The name Oso from the Spanish origin meaning 'bear' fits me just right, not too hard but not too soft. Oops wrong story. I more resemble a big ole polar bear. Big, white and fluffy, so maybe a little soft. :) I miss having a family so I'm hoping my new family will be right around the corner. You see, I was abandoned at a apartment complex. Luckily I was found and brought into this rescue where I'll have my best chance of having that loving fur-ever (the furever part is very important to me) family where I'll be safe and loved (also very important to me). I'm such a good boy that is very affectionate and sweet. I'm good with all people, tall or small, good with the other foster pups here and I'm already house trained. Wow, if you ask me and not to toot my own horn or anything but a special person(s) gonna be getting a real great catch!! I am a pretty big boy coming in around 90lbs but the good news is...at around a year old I am at my adult size! I may be a big boy but that just means there is more of me to love on you! I'm a gentle giant that loves to be loved on and there is nothing better then getting belly rubs and ear scratches! At only around a year old I am still playful and will need some daily walks or exercise but with that in should do fine in town with a yard, out in the country or anywhere in between. With my hairytage my coat will need brushing a few times a week and maybe even a professional grooming once in a while to keep me looking my handsomest self! I will also leave hair on the floor and on the couch (or my doggie bed) and you'll use your vacuum a lot! But my loving nature and soulful expressive eyes will make it all so worth it!!! If you've never been loved by a Pyr before, you don't know what you're missing! If you're searching for a family member that is gentle with a sweet nature, look no further I could be that boy!! Just fill out my adoption application and I'll take it from there!

Howdy y'all, my name is Gus and I'm looking for a life pawtner that I can spend my days being by your side, being your BFF, your cohort (that is... a cohort in crime but shh I won't tell if you won't!!) ;). I'm around a year and a half old, that perfectly pawsome age to tag along with you on all your daily going on's, from the mundane to the exciting action adventures... I'm just happy to be with you! At 70lbs I'm a bigger boy but all that means is that there is more of me to put a whole lot of lovins on you. With my Pyr/Lab hairtage I'm got the shorter coat more like the Lab which is so much easier in the grooming department. It won't take much for me to be ready for all our adventures! I get along pawsomely with people both tall and small and with all the other foster pups. Although cats are unknown as we are not sure if I've ever met one yet. I'd make a great addition to just about any family with a 'sibling' or getting all the attention as your one and only! Are you looking for that life pawtner then look no further cuz I could be YOUR boy!!!

Story
Look at that face! Kara is impossible to resist. This sweet 5-year-old Great Pyrenees is eager to find her new humans. She's looking for a family that's home often and can give her plenty of cuddles and treats. Kara is nervous in new situations and with new people and is looking for experienced adopters who can help her build her confidence through positive experiences and allowing Kara to set the pace for interaction. She startles with loud noises and is looking for a home in a quiet area. Once she trusts you, she's all about those pets, and gives excellent kisses. Kara may do well with some dogs given a slow introduction but is nervous when first meeting new dogs and any introductions should be done slowly. Kara is looking for a home with no cats or other small animals. Kara is looking for a quiet, adult only home and is not a fit for an apartment or condo environment. She would love to have a fenced backyard for outside time. If you're ready to open up your heart and home to this gentle giant, send in an adoption application today! #cuddler #nokids
