Story
Meet Lobo 🐾 Lobo is a stunning 2-year-old male Husky weighing approximately 56 lbs. This handsome boy came to us from the streets of South Texas, where he was found roaming, starving, and missing nearly half of his hair. He was in such rough shape that you could barely tell he was a Husky. Thankfully, a wonderful sanctuary had room for him and took him in. Lobo had multiple skin infections to battle, and it took time, care, and plenty of love to get him healthy again. Today, he is doing so much better and is finally ready to find the forever home he deserves! Lobo absolutely loves other dogs—big or small. He is currently being fostered at a sanctuary in South Texas, near the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a temporary stop for this sweet boy while we search for his forever family. And those eyes! 💙 Lobo has the most gorgeous sky-blue eyes that will stop you in your tracks. Lobo is also quite the conversationalist. He loves to talk and will happily carry on a conversation with just about anyone. If you're feeling sad or lonely, Lobo will be more than happy to brighten your day with his adorable Husky chatter. He is mildly active and enjoys getting outside to run and explore, but he's just as happy coming back inside to relax in the AC. When the weather is nice, he loves nothing more than stretching out and sunbathing. Lobo would do best with someone who enjoys the outdoors and, most importantly, enjoys spending time with their dog. He doesn't want to simply be left alone—he wants to be part of your life. Once he's inside, he'll happily settle right beside you and cuddle up. Lobo is incredibly loyal and loves his person deeply. He is crate trained and knows the word “kennel.” With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, we're confident he'll pick up additional commands quickly. This boy is incredibly smart—perhaps a little too smart for his own good! Lobo also loves car rides, so he's ready to be your adventure buddy. Although he can be vocal, Lobo is truly the biggest sweetheart. He welcomes strangers with open paws and is always happy to receive a few kind words and some attention. After everything this beautiful boy has been through, Lobo deserves a family who will love him, cherish him, and give him the forever home he's been waiting for. Could you be Lobo's forever family? ❤️ If you think you can give Lobo the wonderful home he deserves, please consider filling out an adoption application. Lobo is neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Lobo was heart worm positive when we took him into our care and has since undergone fast kill heart worm treatment over 30 days ago. There is no further care an adopter will need to do besides keep him on his regular monthly heart worm prevention. He can be active and a completely normal doggy! PLEASE READ BELOW CAREFULLY: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. ***ICELYN IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN FOSTER CARE, IN A HOME, AROUND BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS AND CAN BE TRANSPORTED TO THE EAST OR WEST COAST FOR THE PERFECT FAMILY*** Meet Icelyn — Your Next Adventure Buddy! Applicants beware… Queen Icelyn is looking for her castle to call home! Icelyn is a sweet, confident, energetic 2-year-old girl weighing approximately 47 lbs who is ready to leave her past behind and find the loving forever family she deserves. Icelyn’s journey began on the streets of South Texas, where she was found wandering alone. Thankfully, a kind-hearted woman rescued her and gave her the safety, love, and care she desperately needed. Now she’s ready for the next chapter of her life — and she’s hoping it includes a family who loves adventure as much as she does! An Active Girl Looking for an Active Home Icelyn absolutely loves being outside. She loves walks, running, exploring, chasing things, and discovering what the world has to offer. She would make an amazing hiking partner and would love a family who will take her on adventures and explore new places with her. Icelyn is house trained. She is a very active dog, so she needs a home that can keep up with her energy and give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and enrichment. And when it comes to toys, Icelyn is not subtle! She loves running around with squeaky toys in her mouth, making sure everyone knows exactly where she is. She loves tennis balls, playing, jumping on trampolines, and having a good time. Dogs? Yes, Please! Icelyn loves other dogs and would prefer a home with canine friends to play with and help her burn off some of that youthful energy. As you can see in the video, she even likes to walk other dogs — or at least try to! She is confident, social, and loves having a buddy by her side. Kids? Absolutely! Icelyn loves children! She would happily spend time playing with them, helping them dig holes in the dirt — although you may want to keep an eye on those digging projects because China may be coming soon! She loves being around people and is a joy to have around. The Sweet Stuff Icelyn is house trained, treat motivated, and incredibly affectionate. She loves to: Give kisses Give hugs Go on walks Play with dogs Spend time with kids Chase things Play with tennis balls Run around with squeaky toys Be outside Explore Make people laugh She also loves to talk! Icelyn is a girl who believes communication is important. She will happily tell you all about her day, share her complaints, and explain exactly why she believes she should be fed more. • 🏃 Active mode: walks, hiking, running, playing, chasing, toys, other dogs. • 🌿 Outdoor relaxation mode: lying in the yard, watching wildlife, sniffing, observing and just enjoying being outside. Her foster says she makes you happy, and it’s easy to see why. Icelyn has a big personality, a sweetheart, and a way of making every day brighter. And yes… she will absolutely give you kisses. Is Icelyn Your Girl? Icelyn is looking for an active, loving forever home where she can be part of the family, get plenty of exercise and attention, enjoy adventures, and have room to be her wonderfully goofy, energetic self. She has already overcome so much. Now she just needs someone to show her what it truly means to be home. Queen Icelyn is ready for her castle. Could your home be the one she’s been waiting for? Icelyn is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and has received a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian. Story
Meet Kai 🐾 Couch dog. Professional cuddler. Sleepy boy. Absolute lovebug. Kai is not your typical energetic Husky—and that’s exactly what makes him so special. At approximately 1 year old and around 45 lbs, Kai is happiest curled up on the couch beside his people, watching TV, relaxing, and soaking up as much love and affection as he can possibly get. He can be a little shy when he first meets you, but he comes out of his shell quickly. Once he does, be prepared for a loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Kai LOVES affection from humans and will happily cuddle with you for days. He even loves sleeping with his people and will absolutely claim the entire bed if you let him! And his favorite sleeping position? On his back, legs straight up in the air, like he just doesn't care. 🎶 Kai is: 🐶 Great with other dogs 👧 Wonderful with kids 🏡 Crate trained and house trained ❤️ Extremely affectionate and loyal 🛋️ A serious couch potato 🐾 Curious and eager to explore 🚶 A big fan of walks and going out to see the world 🎾 Happy to run around the yard and play when the mood strikes Kai would be perfectly happy as your one and only, but he also gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Kai's Story Kai and his brother were surrendered by their owners to a kill shelter in South Texas simply because their owners no longer wanted them. Sadly, owner-surrendered dogs are often at especially high risk because they don't have a hold period. Kai was scheduled to be euthanized at 4:30 PM the very next day because the shelter was out of space. We saw his post at approximately 2:30 PM the day before and immediately scrambled to save him. The following day, the shelter couldn't tell us whether Kai was still alive. A volunteer jumped in the car and drove to the shelter as quickly as possible—and thankfully, Kai was still there. He was only minutes away from losing his life. Thanks to an incredible team of people who refused to let that happen, Kai is now safe and looking for the forever family he was always meant to have. ❤️ Kai is currently around 45 lbs and could benefit from putting on a little more weight. His Perfect Home Kai is looking for a medium-active family who understands that he has two speeds: let's go explore! and please let me sleep on the couch. He enjoys walks, exploring, running around the yard, and playing, but he is equally happy to spend the rest of the day relaxing beside his people. More than anything, Kai wants to be loved. If you're looking for a handsome, sweet, loyal, affectionate best friend who will follow you around, cuddle up beside you, and happily take over your couch and bed, Kai might just be your guy. He survived when he was given almost no chance—and now he's ready for the forever home he deserves. 🐾❤️ Kai is neutered, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention (6-month pro heart injection), microchipped, current on de-wormer and will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. Sasha is a beautiful 3yr old White+Silver Husky Mix. She has a sweet, affectionate, and playful personality in a medium-sized package. She loves to play with other dogs and get some reassuring snuggles from the people around her. 100% fully vetted, all mandatory vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and in good health!Sasha is a special dog with an amazing story and she deserves to be in a loving home. Being a husky mix, she enjoys daily exercise and outdoor time. It's important that all outdoor time is monitored either on-leash or within a fully enclosed fenced area. She would do well with a single person, couple, or family who loves to go on adventures, hikes, or daily strolls! If you have other dogs we can schedule a meet & greet to ensure everyone gets along well. Sasha is a friendly girl.We are open to considering either a long-term Foster volunteer or forever-home Adopter. We are happy to share more about her for serious inquires.

Story
Woody is a 4-year-old VERY GOOD BOY ready to ride the doggy bus from Mississippi to your home. Woody has a playful, happy temperament and truly enjoys spending time with his people and with whatever other dog is in the vicinity. He is totally house trained, walks on a leash, (but can use a little more practice.) He loves to "talk," we are busily trying to learn his love language. He loves his foster brother and sisters and gets along very well, even with the old, grouchy one!!! He already know a few commands and is very smart!!! Above all, Woody is a perfect dog for an active family. He’s the kind of dog who will gladly be by your side, offering loyalty, affection, and plenty of tail wags. He is also neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on all vaccines and prevention. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with a soft heart and a joyful spirit, Woody is the perfect addition to your home. Apply at animalaidms.org

Story
Seasoned Husky lovers will swoon over Zuko’s good looks. He is one of the most beautiful dogs we've had in some time. He has the full, thick and lush Husky double coat, and his coloring is black, white and gray. He has big blue eyes that seem to twinkle with impending impish mischief.  Zuko arrived at our Connecticut Rescue after he spent some time at the New York City Shelter. Animal Control Officers reported that Zuko had been confiscated when his owner was arrested. He was understandably upset when he entered the city shelter, and he was quickly earmarked for euthanasia.  Shelter contacts advocated tirelessly for Zuko, and as soon as he appeared on our radar, he was transferred to our Connecticut Rescue. Zuko has really come into his own here and has become one of our favorites.  Five years old, Zuko is formidable adult Siberian Husky, who has impressed everyone with his good looks and grand presence. We love our Northern Breeds, and Zuko is one of a kind Anyone interested in sharing their home with a Husky must bring their A game to the table. Zuko needs a savvy handler to maintain his equilibrium. Exercise and discipline, as well as ongoing obedience training should be part of his life, as well as lots of action and human contact. . He is a typical Husky, part jokester and part athlete. Zuko is not the kind of dog who will be happy relegated to the back yard. He loves attention and adventure. We would describe Zuko as having a bold temperament. He has a vibrant personality that would compliment the vibe of a calm, but assertive individual, who can take command of the leash and provide the leadership and focused obedience training that will give him purpose and pleasure in life. Zuko has adapted well to foster care and he would do well in the adult home of an experienced Northern Breed enthusiast, who has the time to make him a priority, and has the active lifestyle to keep him engaged.  Zuko has good house manners, and he is housetrained and crate trained, although adopters should expect some accidents as he transitions to a new life. He is in great health, and has been neutered, and fully treated for Heartworm. He has received routine vaccinations and health screenings, If you are interested in Zuko, please call/text Denise at 860-908-9738. Email: Angelsfrgod@aol.com.
