Story
Odyssey is a sweet, silly and super smart guy who’s ready to find his forever home! He’s a big fan of snacks, loves playing ball, and has a goofy, lovable personality that’s sure to win you over. This playful pup is also a bit of a people-watcher, he enjoys keeping tabs on staff and volunteers and being part of the action. He can be a little talkative (as Huskies tend to be!), so a home without shared walls and a physical fence would be best. We aren`t sure if Odyssey is house trained, but he does keep his kennel clean. Odyssey came from a hoarding situation, so we’re still learning how he feels about other dogs. Because of this, a meet and greet with all household members, furry and human, will be required before adoption.Odyssey is on-site at our rescue. If you`d like to meet him, you can stop by our rescue to meet him or fill out an application online. Information may change as we get to know Odyssey better.

Story
Journey is a sassy, smart and spirited Husky mix who’s still learning to trust the world around him. He’s got that classic Husky attitude - vocal, opinionated and a little mouthy - but underneath it all, he’s a sweet guy who just needs the right person to help him feel safe and loved.Journey came to us from a hoarding situation, so he`s still figuring out how to interact with people, and we haven`t had a chance to test his interactions with other dogs quite yet. We believe a slow introduction to all household members, furry and human, would be best for him. He is still pretty nervous of fast movements and loud noises so older children or no children in his future home, may be where he feels most comfortable. Because Journey is very vocal, a home without shared walls would be the best fit for him. He would still need to learn trust when being leashed, so he would also do best in a home with a fenced in yard. He is incredibly smart and treat-motivated, so treats are a fast way to his heart. After he trusts you, proper training won`t be too difficult. We aren`t quite sure if he is house trained, but he does keep his kennel clean! If you are interested in making him apart of your family, you can come and meet him in one of our playrooms or fill out an application online. Information on Journey may change as we get to know him better.

Story
🐾 Meet Ernie! 🐾 Ernie is a sweet young husky mix who is still very much a puppy at heart at only around a year old. He’s learning that the world isn’t quite as big and scary as it seems, and while he may take a little time to warm up, his gentle personality shines through once he feels safe. He is quiet, potty trained, and very gentle — basically the Bert to someone’s Ernie if Bert happened to be shy, fluffy, and adorable. This handsome little guy is smaller in size for a husky and has unique tan coloring sprinkled throughout his coat that makes him extra special. Ernie loves calm, gentle affection and really begins to come out of his shell around mellow dogs and playful puppies who help build his confidence. A few kind friends and a little encouragement, and suddenly it’s a sunny day on Ernie Street. One of Ernie’s cutest quirks is the way he prefers to quietly slink around in a little crouched “stalking” walk instead of strutting confidently through the world. It’s impossible not to be reminded of Bolt from the Disney movie while watching him figure things out with cautious curiosity and sweet determination. He may not be ready to “sing loud for the people in the back” just yet, but he’s working on learning that the world can be kind. With patience, kindness, and a little encouragement, Ernie is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. This sweet boy is proof that sometimes the best neighbors are the quiet ones who just need a little love to help them step out onto Sesame Street. 🐾

⚔️ Meet Kaneki ⚔️ Part-Time Tough Guy • Full-Time Softie • Certified Outside Enthusiast Much like his anime namesake, Kaneki may seem a little mysterious at first — but underneath it all is an incredibly sweet, sensitive soul just looking for someone he can trust. This handsome boy has mastered the art of quiet companionship and would much rather soak up affection from his favorite humans than cause any chaos. Kaneki is calm, observant, and definitely has a stubborn streak worthy of a main character arc. He does best with a kind but confident handler who understands that patience, consistency, and respect go a long way with him. Once you earn his trust? Congratulations — you’ve unlocked his true form: affectionate cuddle bug. 💥 ✨ Kaneki’s Stats ✨ 🖤 Loves pets more than treats 🌿 Absolutely obsessed with outside time 🐶 Dog selective — careful introductions recommended 🧠 Smart and responsive to training 🎭 Sensitive boy with a gentle personality 💪 Thrives with calm, confident, consistent guidance Kaneki isn’t looking for just any home — he’s looking for his perfect anime squad. Someone who understands that not every hero starts out loud and flashy. Some just need patience, love, and a little character development. And remember: 📖 “The world isn’t wrong… Kaneki just really wants to go outside.” Staff would be happy to provide more information about Kaneki’s history and help determine if he’s the right companion for your next adventure arc! 🐾

Blue the husky is obviously a looker! He’s probably a year old and 50# of hair, and LOVE!! He is crate trained, knows how to sit and recently learned to give hugs- must LOVE HUSKY HUGS!! He’s very dog friendly, likes cats a little too much and will chase or sometimes play too rough but he isn’t trying to hurt them, but for everyone' s sake he will go to a no kitty home. Blue had been roaming the neighborhood for months then eventually made a best friend named Benji= the ADORABLE terrier ;) After months of them visiting all the homes who poured cat food and water he started to let me pet him and that was because he would watch me with my foster at the time while we’d be out on walks. He had a rough time before being in the neighborhood, apparently in his first "home" he was yelled at all the time and so he is sensitive to new people as well as brooms and belts :( He’s still an affectionate dog the more I get to know him but of course he will require lots of patience as he begins to build his trust back with humans.Right now his favorite thing to do is play and be a part of pack. He enjoys all of the other dogs in the house. he even smiles at me from time to time. He’s also been known to let out a some decent howls when I’m arriving home from work, so if you love the WHOOWHOOWHOO of a husky boy, he is the ONE!! He needs a quieter home, no young children but older are fine. He needs patience and support as he builds up his confidence and trust. He has it in him!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
My name is Rooooben (aka Ruben)! I'm a happy and howly Husky mix looking for a home for my golden years. I am an older boy but I still have a ton of life and LOVE in me. I am great with people of all ages and dogs of all sizes. I enjoy walks, romps around the yard and tug/fetch with my humans. I don't last long, due to my age, but that just means we can follow it up with snuggles! Snuggles, pets, and scratches are my favorite. I will give low awoooo's to tell you I'm ready to shower you with love (and LOTS of hair). While Huskies can be a challenging breed, I'm far past the puppy phase and am very well trained. I walk well on a leash, ride well in the car, and never go potty in the house. Unlike most Huskies, my crate is my happy place. Yep, I'm crate trained too! I'm a near perfect pup, ready and waiting for yoooouuuu! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
I call Click my big teddy bear. Even with him being a senior dog (8 years old in July) he’s just a big ole puppy dog at heart. He loves cuddles. Cold floors. Cloth toys. Being outside. He’s great with humans big and small. He’s always been great with other dogs as well as cats. He may be timid with other dogs at first as he was attacked by a Rottweiler last year. He just wants to play. He loves his food and treats. He did obedience training and knows sit, lay, stay, shake paws, up, etc. I would love for him and his sister to go together as she is one year younger and they are bonded. They are both purebred. Their parents are show dogs. I have all of their certifications still.Nala is the yellow and white one (age 7 in July). She is sweet as pie. She unfortunately does not care for other dogs except her brother. She does well with the cat but it took training as I’m sure she could be trained to be around other dogs. She is protective of her humans & motivated by affection over food.
