Story
we’re looking for the right family for our sweet boy, Shadow.Shadow is a 5-year-old husky/shepherd mix (about 40 lbs), neutered, and up to date on his vet care. He’s affectionate, enjoys being with his people, and does well with other dogs and cats.We believe Shadow would thrive in a home with adults or older, dog-savvy children. Since welcoming our toddler, we’ve realized that life with a young child is stressful for him. While he has never bitten anyone, he has shown he’s happiest in a home without toddlers. We’re committed to finding the right fit, not just the first one. If you think Shadow may be a great addition to your family, or know someone who may be interested, please send me a message. Sharing is also greatly appreciated. ❤️

Story
Rocky is a 6-year-old male. We rescued him from a family member who could not take care of him after she was dog-sitting for their original owners, who left the state and could not bring him with them. Rocky is a very loving pet, and this is very hard for us. However, we think he should be with a home with an owner who understands this breed better than we do. We have completed a lot of training at our home and at a training center. Our neighborhood does not allow us any fencing. We would love to place him in a home with a husky already, and/or an experienced owner with a husky. He does like to roam if he can get out, so he needs a solution to keep him in. He will also chase after cats. Other than that, he's adorable, happy and friendly and very social.

Story
**If you are interested in adopting Yuki, please contact Caleb at caleb1594@gmail.com.** Meet Yuki 🐾 Yuki is a 3-year-old Husky who is, quite frankly, very good at being a Husky. He’s smart, energetic, athletic, and full of personality—and he’s looking for a home that understands what that really means. Yuki walks well on a leash and is house-broken. He’s crate trained, though he has occasionally demonstrated his impressive problem-solving skills by getting out of it. He has lots of energy and will need regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy. He can jump fences, so a secure yard (or supervised outdoor time) is a must. He enjoys being groomed and doesn’t mind baths, loves to cuddle, and is a big fan of belly rubs. Yuki also gets car sick, so short trips or some patience will be needed there. Yuki should be the only pet in the home—he is definitely not cat-friendly, and his behavior around other dogs or children is currently unknown. Because of his breed traits and energy level, Yuki would do best with an experienced Husky owner or someone who is truly willing to put in the time, training, and commitment this breed requires. In short: Yuki isn’t “too much dog”—he’s just exactly the dog you’d expect when you adopt a Husky. If you’re ready for an active, clever, affectionate companion and understand that Huskies don’t come with an “off” switch, Yuki might be your perfect match. *This pet is featured through our Pet Re-Homing Program. This is a private pet. Please use your best judgement when deciding to meet. Any questions or comments regarding this pet should be directed to the owner listed. Again, this is not a pet affiliated with Oakland County Animal Shelter. This program was created to help residents of Oakland County needing placement of a loving pet and hopefully avoiding a stressful shelter environment.

Story
Meet Kahlua!!! The the sweetest 5 month-old puppy with the cutest little personality! Kahlua is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. She loves going for walks, playing with her dog friends, and exploring the world around her—but once playtime is over, she’s happiest curled up next to you for snuggles and naps. She’s working hard on potty training and is already puppy pad trained. She’ll even run to the door when she needs to go outside. Kahlua is a very easygoing puppy with a moderate energy level—she enjoys walks, adventures, and playtime, but she’s definitely not overly hyper. She settles down quickly and loves cuddle time most of all. Car rides? No problem—Kahlua is calm and happy to tag along. She adores kids of all ages, but she doesnt know her strength, so she can knock them down when she gets excited, because of this, we recommend older kids or dog savvy children. She does great with cats too and mostly ignores them. Her prey drive is basically nonexistent, making her a wonderful fit for a variety of homes. She walks well on a leash for such a young pup and already knows commands like sit, paw, touch, and kennel. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, loving puppy who will be your best friend and cuddle buddy, Kalhua is ready to steal your heart! *Estimated DOB 3/16/2026 *Spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped & Fecal Tested *Dogs, cat and kid friendly *Super snuggly Apply Here: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application
