Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cuddles (TX) is a male Siberian Husky mix rescued in Texas.  Our vet partners estimate his age as 3 years old at the time of intake in Sept 2022.   He is good with all people and dogs.  Cuddles was suffering in a shelter weak from being malnourished and attacked by ticks due to his living conditions.  He received medical care, good food and now he's doing amazing at his foster home, the only thing missing is a home of his own.  Although this adorable guy was in rough shape he remains sweet in fact it's hard to get a picture because he just wants to come to you for pets.  He is great with his 2 and 4 year old foster human siblings. He's house and crate trained, a couch potato and loves to be near his humans.  He's anxious to find his forever home, if you would like to show Cuddles how happy life can be, please apply online to adopt Cuddles (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.   RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption.   Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Flynn (TX) is a male husky mix, maybe with some shepherd and/or lab rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Flynn is 10 months old at the time of intake early Mar 2023. Flynn is good with people and other dogs. This sweet pup was running outside in the elements with no parental guidance. We scooped him up, cleaned him up and found a foster home. He didn't mind the bath and actually thinks he might be able to put his good looks to use. He checked in from his foster home and said it's pretty cool, people are nice and they listen to great music, He does have a curfew though but he doesn't mind. He is adjusting and loves playing with his toys! Flynn is energetic, as expected for a dog his age. Likes to walk on leash and doing well. He gets the zoomies in the yard but is also happy to chill. Flynn l oves to give kisses and is a super sweet dog overall and very smart! Do you need a new family member that you can shower with love and get unconditional love back? Flynn could be your guy! Please apply online to adopt Flynn (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. Story
This is beautiful Brad, a gorgeous (almost certainly purebred) Husky! We call him Brad because of his piercing blue eyes and his scruffy movie star looks! Brad is about 62 lbs and 7 years old. He LOVES people. He is a gentle soul that likes an occasional goofy play session with his human. He also loves attention and always welcomes head scratches. He hasn’t recently been around dogs so we don’t know how he acts. He would be good with older children because we haven’t seen him interact with young children. If interested in adopting, please complete our application, link below (you can copy and paste into your browser). https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adoption-foster-application --------------------------------------------- PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is fully approved, transport will be arranged to the New York/NJ area. We DO adopt out of state, but you must come to pick up. In addition, if you are applying for this dog or any of our pups, you must be open to dog psychology/behavior (Cesar Millan) and fulfilling the needs of the dog. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog. In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Thank you for understanding.

Story
Hi there, my name is Kaizen and I am a handsome gold and white Siberian Husky mix, 11 months old, 42 lbs and I’m a looker. I came into the San Antonio Animal Care Services when I was just a wee lad of 2 months old. I was adopted and loved and played with at the beginning, but that was about it, and then the neglect began. I was not getting food or water or outside potty time on a regular basis, and was basically trapped inside while my owner was away with other interests, none of which were me. Thank goodness our neighbor cared, so I was surrendered over to her and now I am being fed and played with daily. I’ve learned how to sit, lay down, give a paw, and now I am also fully vaccinated and neutered. It’s time to find a forever home. I am a sweet and happy boy once I get to know you, but I may need a couple of days to adjust. Once I do, I am loyal and loving, silly and entertaining, enjoying pets and tummy rubs, sometimes kisses, and I'm a velcro dog. My favorite place to be is wherever you are, whatever you are doing, wherever you go, I’d love to be your sidekick. I get along with other dogs but prefer the girls if I have a doggy friend in my forever home. I love doggy toys and hotdogs. I have some Kong toys and chew toys I love to play with, but soft toys and rope toys I can dismantle in about 5 minutes. I am housebroken and rarely bark when I’m with you. I love going for walks and I don't mind being in a crate if you are there. At night I sleep quietly in my doggy bed in my foster mom's room. What can I say?... I was neglected, desperate for love and some attention, and now that I have it, I’m hooked on it, LOL! The plan for my future is to find a home somewhere in or near Connecticut and ideally be with someone looking for a doggy companion, someone to hang out with, go for walks with, hikes, camping, or any outdoor activities I’m willing and able, but equally happy just chilling on the sofa watching our favorite movies on tv. Also snacking on hotdogs sounds nice too. * We encourage you to email us your #1, #2, and #3 choices, and we will be happy to help you find a pup to complete your family! Also, please continue watching our listings as we post new dogs multiple times a week. There is no need to fill out another application, just let us know what other dogs you are interested in as they come up.

Story
Hi, my name is Dolly and I am a pretty Husky/Shepherd mix, about 3 years old, 42 lbs, and I was recently a mama dog, living in a little “den” underneath the side of a vacant house with my litter of puppies. Nobody cared for weeks until freezing weather was upon us and when someone tried to save us all, I was too scared to go so they just took my puppies. I was heartbroken for days, crying and whimpering, sleeping outside in the freezing cold until a dog rescue earned my trust just enough to catch me. Fast forward a couple of months and I have been living in a foster home, finally able to put the past behind me and start having some fun again playing with the resident dogs. I am a happy and loving girl with lots of energy for any activity, running, hiking, playing, whatever, and if I could play all day long with dogs or humans, I probably would. I’m good with people, shy at first, but I warm up quickly. I’m the submissive type with other dogs, but love to play with them and I make a very nice playmate and accept correction well from humans or dogs. I love all doggy toys, but the chew bones are my favorite. I’m very sweet and very affectionate, love being petted, and sharing doggy kisses. My foster mom says I would be amazing in agility training because I am fast and can run loops around the resident dogs during playtime. If you are an outdoor enthusiast looking for a canine companion who is exceptionally sweet and loyal with plenty of energy and enthusiasm for any activity, you’ve just hit the jackpot and found me! I will be moving to Connecticut for a much better life and lifestyle, and being part husky I’m already built for the snow, hint-hint! * We encourage you to email us your #1, #2, and #3 choices, and we will be happy to help you find a pup to complete your family! Also, please continue watching our listings as we post new dogs multiple times a week. There is no need to fill out another application, just let us know what other dogs you are interested in as they come up.

Story
It breaks our heart to be looking into rehoming Maverick but we realized it is best for us and Maverick to have a home better than ours. Our schedules have unfortunately become too hectic since getting him. It hurts because he has 0 behavioral issues outside what you could expect from a nearly 6 month old pup. Hes SMART, he learned tricks like it was nothing, and will be your buddy 100%. If my wife and I had a home with a yard and less hectic schedule, Maverick would never be on this website because he truly is a sweetheart that has eyes that melt you. ONLY looking for applicants who have a YARD and preferably live outside the city. We wont let him go for another crammed city lifestyle home. There is a fee as we wanted to wean out any candidates who aren’t serious about Maverick after coming across candidates who applied when there was no fee and weren’t true to their profile description. We will give you his large size crate, vaccination records, and anything else we have.

Alpha is about 5 months but he seems like he’s gonna be a big boy. He’s very friendly and energetic and loves attention and loves to give attention. I’ve trained him to pee and poop on pads as well as come when I whistle and sit when I tell him to sit and he also stops and you tell him to stop with meaning. As much as I love him I don’t wanna be selfish and keep him because I do not have the time, and most importantly space and environment that he needs.

Well, our hearts go out to Izzy as she arrived with a cosmetically damaged ear. However, that just makes her a survivor and even more endearing to us! We are hoping to get some additional photos but she has the most soulful eyes and they seem to reach out to your heart and say adopt me! Izzy is big buds with her sister and enjoying romping with her. She is a sweetie too! She and her siblings showed up at a good Samaritan’s house and their owner never came forward. Her ear was torn when she arrived but it has healed….just missing part of it but it doesn’t affect her hearing. If you would like an adoption application then the BEST way is to EMAIL STORKWOODS@COMCAST.NET directly. We have foster homes in several areas of the country. We do have transport available.

Story
Buddy Boy is all boy! He loves a ball which is funny to watch as he will entertain himself with it for the longest time. He is more independent and not as needy as some of his litter mates and he is super intelligent. Buddy Boy is an alert dog and just by looking at him you can see the wheels turning. He is super athletic and should be easy to train. We think he will make a great dog for someone who is athletic and enjoys exercising as that would match his personality. He is eager to please and watches you with such intent that you wonder if he is reading your mind. If you have fallen in love with Buddy Boy, the best way to begin a potential adoption is to EMAIL STORKWOODS@COMCAST.NET directly to get an application. Again, this is the the BEST way to be considered his forever home. We have foster homes in several areas of the country. We do have transport available.
