Ophelia arrived at MACC as a stray with no known history. While in care Ophelia has been observed to escalate to baring teeth and snapping when handlers approach. Recently Ophelia has warmed up to select handlers and has been observed to have a wagging tail and seeking contact. Due to the detailed behavior we recomend an experienced adult only home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Muffin (AL)At just 7 weeks old (as of late April 2026), Muffin is the kind of puppy who makes you stop midsentence and say, “Oh my gosh, look at that one.” This possibly Husky/Shepherd mix has a pair of gorgeous mismatched eyes that look like they were painted by two different artists who both agreed on one thing: make her unforgettable. Muffin is happy, sweet, and adorably curious about the world. She’s great with people of all ages and gets along beautifully with other dogs — she’s the kind of pup who assumes everyone she meets is a new friend. Her personality is pure sunshine: gentle, playful, and full of that soft puppy joy that makes every day feel a little brighter. She’s young, eager to learn, and ready to grow into the wonderful dog she’s meant to be with a family who will guide her, love her, and laugh at her tiny antics. If Muffin has already stolen your heart (she tends to do that), you can apply to adopt her at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. She’s small now, but she’s destined to be someone’s big love. Muffin's adoption fee is $575. Please be sure to reference this pet's name as Muffin (AL) in case of duplicate names within the rescue. Thank you!All pets are current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 19, 2026, 1:56 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bronx (TX) is a female Husky mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Bronx is 2 year old at the time of intake in October 2024. Bronx is a sweet, happy-go-lucky girl who gets along beautifully with people and other dogs. Found malnourished and in rough shape, Bronx has made an incredible comeback and is now thriving.Don’t let the “tripod” label fool you — Bronx doesn’t even seem to realize she has three legs! Her spirit is infectious, her attitude is unstoppable, and she approaches life with confidence and joy. Her foster mom reports that Bronx is crate trained and truly enjoying life. She loves being around her people, gets along well with other dogs, and carries herself like a dog with absolutely no plans of slowing down. Bronx likes to grab you with her paws when you pass by her, is always asking for belly rubs and loves car rides (she's so good in the car!). Her special skills are arranging her toys around her like a nest and her singing voice. Despite her early challenges, Bronx is resilient, loving, and full of personality. She’s a happy, goofy, and affectionate companion who just wants a family to share life, love, and plenty of belly rubs with.Bronx is ready to bring happiness, laughter, and loyalty into her forever home.If you check off all the boxes, Bronx is looking for in her family, please apply online to adopt Bronx (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. Bronx's adoption fee is $500.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 19, 2026, 1:56 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Maple (AL). If sweetness had a mascot, it would be Maple — a 7weekold (as of late April 2026) Husky/Shepherdmaybemix who looks like she wandered out of a storybook and decided to stay. One look at her gorgeous baby blues and you’ll understand why everyone who meets her immediately melts. Maple is all things gentle and joyful. She toddles through life with that wiggly puppy confidence, greeting people of every age like they’re longlost friends. She plays beautifully with other dogs, happily joining in on whatever game is happening, even if she’s not entirely sure of the rules yet. What really sets Maple apart is her spirit — soft, sunny, and endlessly endearing. She’s the kind of pup who pauses midplay to give you a little nose boop, or curls up beside you with a sigh that says, “This is exactly where I belong.” She’s young, eager to learn, and ready to grow into a loyal, loving companion with a family who will guide her through all the big firsts ahead. If Maple feels like your missing piece, you can apply to adopt her at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. She’s tiny now, but she’s already full of heart. Maple's adoption fee is $575. Please be sure to reference this pet's name as Maple (AL) in case of duplicate names within the rescue.
