Meet Dakota:  Dakota is a 4 month old (as of May 6, 2024) Husky/Shepherd mix (best guess) that weighs around 20 lbs. This beautiful litter of 9 (Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip, Cedar, Aspen, Nero, Apollo, Cosmo, Dakota and Blaze) were surrendered by their owners to us because they could no longer care for them. Dakota is currently being fostered in Harrisburg, PA and would love to meet her forever family. Dakota is friendly, loving, playful, and loves to cuddle. Dakota has been good with other dogs, both big and small. Dakota is crate trained and still working on her house training.  We would love for Dakota to have a home with a fence so she can play and run freely. Dakota is up-to-date on her shots and will be spayed when age appropriate. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please go to charliescrusaders.org and fill out an application. Story
Meet Chewy: Chewy is estimated to be about a 6 month old (as of May 2024) husky mix (best guess) that weighs 49 pounds - the vet does not expect him to get much larger. Chewy was dropped off on the side of the road and made his way to the home of a rescuer - what a lucky pick! The rescuer has tried to find his owner and no one has responded. Chewy is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Chewy is such a sweet little dog!  He gets along with the 3 big dogs and cat at his foster home. Chewy is super friendly and not afraid of anyone at all. Chewy loves attention and to be brushed. Chewy loves to eat and will grab whatever food he has access to. He has gotten better with time at his foster home and learning that his next meal is guaranteed. Chewy spends his time outdoors at his foster home and doesn’t leave the yard. We would love for him to have a fenced in yard, but it is not a requirement. With Chewy spending time outside, we are unsure of his house training status. He shows interest to come inside; we believe he’s going to make a great family pet! Chewy is up to date on his shots and is neutered. If you are interested in adopting this super sweet guy, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. ##2050797##

Story
Oh man. Luna, I love you so much. Luna is a 6-year old husky/aussie mix. I got her from her previous owner that surrendered her due to her reactivity with other dogs. They had a family of goldens and things just weren't workout for them. This was in May of 2020 and I've had Luna for close to 4 years. I've taken her to hikes all over Washington, the Canadian Rockies, and even Alaska. I've moved back to the east coast to spend some time with family and with new work that requires more frequent international traveling, I'm looking to find a new loving home for Luna. She doesn't do well with other dogs and cats and will need to be the only pet in the household. She's house-trained and does extremely well with kids. She's still a bit reactive so it'll be important to keep this in mind when walking her in public. I can share much more detail in what has worked for me in the 4 years I've had her and things that should be avoided.

Story
Hi y'all. My name is Jaime. I was abandoned by my human. They left me and others behind when they moved. But it all worked out, cause you see this nice lady came and rescued us. Now I have a yard with toys and treats. Even as nice as this place is. I yearn for my own family to run and play with. A place where I'll never be left behind again.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 20, 2024, 1:01 pm

Story
Meet Shadow. Shadow is a very sweet 9 yo husky Logan’s rescued from a commercial breeding kennel. She gets along well with all the other dogs. Young, old, big, small she is polite and friends with everyone. She has been good in our home and not destructive or a chewer. She does need frequent potty  breaks which I believe is due to being older and a breeder. Loves to be petted and will roll over and lay there forever. She doesn’t bark but will howl or husky talk in her kennel sometimes. Knows sit and comes when called. Listens well. Enjoys laying outside in a fenced in yard.  Shadow will be spayed on May 22, 2024 and will be ready for her forever home. She is up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She has tested negative for heartworm and has been started on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $200.00. If you are interested in adopting Shadow,  please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.
