Hi! I’m Herbert — a one-year-old Husky–German Shepherd mix with a big heart and lots of energy. I’m loyal, affectionate, and I love being around my people. I get very excited when I’m with humans and enjoy being part of the action. I’m kid-friendly and cat-friendly, too! I’m a high-energy guy and get especially enthusiastic when playing with other dogs. Sometimes I play a little rough and may nip during dog-to-dog play — it’s probably my herding instincts kicking in. I’m looking for a patient adopter who understands active, high-energy breeds and is committed to giving me structure, training, and plenty of exercise to help me be my best self. I’m not the biggest fan of my crate, but I do great in the house and I’m not destructive. I know I’m a lot of work, but I have so much potential. Once captured, miles apart, they were reunited at the kennel. They are so happy to be back together sharing a kennel space, eating together and sleeping snuggled together. I used to be the neighborhood’s friendly community stray, but since being rescued, I’ve discovered that couches, unlimited treats, and people are way better than street life. Kai is a sweet, fun-loving husky. He was adopted as a puppy in Feb 2021 (Born 12/3/2020). He is a purebred Siberian Husky. He LOVES people and other dogs. Kai is 5 years old and loves to play with toys, tug, fetch, you name it. He is potty trained and lets you know when he has to go outside to go potty. He knows all basic commands. He is an indoor dog (sleeps indoors) but enjoys playing outside when possible as well. He’s great with cats and kids of any age.

Sitka came to us after living in less than ideal circumstances, but she has not let that dim her joyful personality. She is a very affectionate girl who loves attention and will happily return it with plenty of hugs and tail wags. Sitka enjoys running, jumping, and playing, and she never turns down a good adventure. She seems to do well with other dogs, though we do require a meet and greet with any potential canine siblings to ensure a good match. We are not sure yet how she feels about cats, but we are happy to cat test her upon request. Sitka is ready to leave her past behind and find a home where she can be loved and cherished.
