Story
Look at Miss Kira! This beautiful girl is approaching her 1st birthday and would love to find her forever family whose she's been patiently waiting for.  Kira came to us when she was found abandoned outside in her crate on New Years. Did this crush her fearless, loving, and trusting deamenor? No! Kira loves all people and gets along well with other dogs. Kira does coexist with cats but is prone to chase without redirection.  Kira does require a fenced in yard and a home with older children. Kira would love to belong to an active, dog savvy family that can provide her with the physical and mental stimulation she needs.  Kira is doing great with her crate and house training.  If you're interested in giving this beautiful, loving dog her happy ending, please apply today! This dog is available now!  Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale PA 15144  /  KL# 16182 ##1987894##

Story
Meet Olive! This pretty girl is a 5 month old husky shepard mix with big blue eyes! Olive currently weighs about 30 pounds and LOVES food. She will most likely be a medium sized dog when full grown. Olive loves meeting new people and will greet you with kisses. She loves to play and has lots of energy! Once shes gotten her energy out she would love to snuggle up with her person. Or another pup! Olive gets along great with her foster sister and has been learning tons of new things from her. She has been working hard on potty training and is doing great. If kept on a consistant schedule she is well on her way to being fully house trained. She also does well in her crate, sleeping overnight with no issues and also spends time during the day in her crate. Olive came into rescue with a limp in her front right leg and after X-rays was found to have a fracture. Although it does not slow her down or seem to cause her any discomfort, it has been recommended by her vet that she has surgery to repair her leg otherwise she will have issues with it throughout her lifetime. Since she want her to live the best life possible Olive will be having surgery to repair her leg and after some recovery and rest time will be ready to go home with her forever family! Apply at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt Olive is available for adoption now through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale PA 15144 KL#16182 ##2008788##

Story
Are you looking for the sweetest day-to-day companion? Are you hopeful for some awoo-s throughout your day and the softest set of ears? Look no further! Teea came from a very sad situation: her lifelong owners passed away recently, and she was owner surrendered with another pup. As you can imagine, Teea's had a hard time: it's a lot to go from your home and family of 7 years and into a new situation! She's grieving a bit, and she started out timid and distracted. But even with this massive life shift, it's clear Teea is a wonderful, special pup. She is a trademark husky – soft, sassy, sweet, and maybe even a little stubborn! She's very good with other dogs, so sweet with all people she meets, and truly wants to be with her people when in the home. Teea is exceptionally dog friendly and has done well meeting other pups, ranging from 1-year-old collies to 8-year-old fellow huskies. She doesn't need to play with every dog she meets, but has greeted all of them very happily and gently. We highly recommend a social dog family or another dog in the home for this sweet girl.  During her time in foster, she's mastered house training, is working on her crate training (excellent!), and has been learning to go up stairs so that she can be a true Yinzer like the rest of us (she doesn't love them, but she is still practicing!). She's also been working on relaxing and truly showing us what a lovely dog she is, and it's a joy to watch her play with her favorite ball or plushie around the house. During the day, this sweet girl can be crated if you're working out of the home, and we recommend ongoing crate training, but she also excels at lying by your feet in a home office for hours at a time or sleeping on your bedroom floor at night. She's medium energy level and has been practicing her leash walking as well.  In even a few weeks, we've see Teea relax and thrive with foster care. She really builds confidence + comes out of her shell when she's around her other, well-adjusted pups. As a result, we think Teea would do best in a home with at least one similarly aged (adult) dog or a family that socializes with other dogs. We haven't seen her around cats, but as a default, would recommend no cats at this time.  If you're looking for an adult pup to be a companion + spend days by your side, Teea is likely to be an excellent fit. Bonus points if you have a fridge full of cheese, she'll love you forever. Apply today for a chance to meet her! Teea is available now. Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale PA 15144  /  KL# 16182 ##1992200##

Story
Hey hey hey!! The name is Judd, and I’m the happiest boy! I came from Kentucky after my housemates were poisoned and my family feared the same would happen to me.  I’m about 13 months old and a husky/lab mix. My foster mom tells me that my husky side shows a lot. I would prefer a home without chickens and possibly cats (I like to chase them but haven’t tried to hurt them). I also like to jump so I will need watched in a fenced in yard. I know how to sit and shake, and I’m potty trained too. I’ve done well in my crate at night and while my foster parents are at work. I may cry for a few minutes but settle down for pretty quickly. With slow introductions, I’ve done well with other dogs as long as they don’t try to challenge me. Needless to say, I’m a young dog that has puppy antics. I would love a home to show me how to be the best. Could that be your home?!? I'm available to go home on 3-30-24! ##1985082##
