Story
Meet Jovi! Age: 6 months Sex: Female Breed: Husky Mix Expected Weight: Medium-sized (approximately 40–55 lbs) Jovi is a gentle and sensitive puppy with the sweetest personality and the softest eyes. She is searching for a patient and loving forever home where she can continue building confidence and learning what it means to feel safe. Jovi came to us with her siblings from a severe hoarding situation where she had very little socialization or exposure to the outside world. Because of this, everyday experiences like walks, leashes, affection, and even stepping outside were completely unfamiliar and overwhelming to her. Out of her litter, Jovi was one of the most fearful when she first arrived. She preferred to stay hidden and needed extra time to feel comfortable around people and new experiences. With patience, consistency, and kindness, she has made incredible progress and continues to grow more confident every day. Jovi is a quiet and observant girl with a calm, sweet nature. Recently, she has grown to enjoy being pet and now takes walks on her own (we are so proud!!) - huge milestones for this brave girl. She gains a great deal of confidence from other dogs and feels safest when she has a canine companion nearby. Seriously... you should see her romp and zoom around with her siblings! Because of this, Jovi will require a home with another friendly and confident dog to help guide her and continue showing her the world is a safe place. Jovi is looking for a patient and understanding family that will allow her to move at her own pace and celebrate the small victories along the way. While she may take time to fully open up, she has the potential to form an incredibly special bond with the people she trusts. She has already come so far from the frightened puppy who first arrived, and now she just needs a family willing to give her the love, patience, and forever home she deserves. All of our adoptable pets are... - Spayed or neutered - Vaccinated - Blood tested - Microchipped - Flea treated & dewormed You can email us at adopt@whiteoakanimalsafehaven.com or give us a call at 412-672-8901 for more info!

Story
Come Meet Jiji! Jiji is a 7-month-old, 30 lb husky mix. She and her siblings came to us from a terrible hoarding situation and have been waiting for someone to take a chance on them. Originally undersocialized, we have worked so hard to help them experience life the way any innocent puppy should… safely, gently, and happily, all at a pace that allows them to build confidence and trust. Every day has brought huge progress as she learns about new sights, sounds, and the world around her. Jiji is one of the more confident pups in her group. She enjoys affection, loves her walks, and is happiest when she’s playing with her siblings or taking in her surroundings. She’s still learning, but her curiosity and sweet nature continue to shine through more each day. Requirements / Ideal Home:
 ~Requires a fenced-in yard
 ~Teens and up preferred
~Would do best with another confident dog in the home This goofy, affectionate girl just needs a home willing to keep showing her that the world isn’t so scary, and that good things are here to stay. With a little patience and continued guidance, we know Jiji is going to make an incredible companion. All of our adoptable pets are... - Spayed or neutered - Vaccinated - Blood tested - Microchipped - Flea treated & dewormed You can email us at adopt@whiteoakanimalsafehaven.com or give us a call at 412-672-8901 for more info!

Story
Meet Jersey! Jersey is 19 weeks old and currently weighs 23 lbs. He was the runt of his litter and is expected to be medium-sized when fully grown. Mom is a Husky mix and dad was a Lab mix, so we estimate Jersey will be around 40–45 lbs as an adult. Jersey is a sweet boy who actively seeks out cuddles when he’s not busy playing with his siblings. He also loves a good chew toy! Jersey was recently evaluated after concerns about possible hearing impairment and was found to be mostly deaf, with some minor hearing ability. This doesn’t slow him down, but it does mean he’ll learn and communicate a little differently. To set Jersey and his adopter up for success, he will go home with a training package designed to help his new family learn the best ways to communicate and train with him. Because Jersey is considered deaf, his adoptive home will also need to have another confident dog who can help provide him with companionship, confidence, and cues as he adjusts to his new environment. He is doing great with crate training and will alert you when he needs to go outside. Like most young puppies, he is still learning not to puppy nip, but consistent training will help with that. Jersey does well with dogs of all sizes in his foster home. He has not been around cats yet, but he is young enough to learn. Jersey is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He’s ready to find a family who will embrace what makes him a little different and give him everything he needs to thrive. Apply for Jersey directly at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL#16182. ##2731230##

Story
Meet Sky! Sky is a sweet and beautiful 5-year-old female red husky, ready to begin a big, beautiful, and fulfilling next chapter of her life. Having spent most of her time alone and indoors, she would love a home that would help her make up for lost time and adventures. She is also becoming more acclimated to being around people and dogs, but continues to make incredible progress every day. In just one week, she went from running away from her foster mom to wanting to snuggle up next to her on the couch. Sky’s eyes are as beautiful as the sky, and slightly cloudy. Her vision may be slightly impaired, but they still sparkle with love and excitement for her next walk & when she sees her favorite people. An ideal home for Sky would include a quiet and gentle home filled with love. Another calm and gentle dog in the home may be helpful in her navigating her surroundings & building confidence. She is currently in a home with 2 other huskies & has been thriving. She has low to moderate levels of energy, is continuing to make progress conditioning into shape, and is adjusting and learning to eat a proper and healthy diet. Sky is about 55 pounds and medium-sized in stature. She is spayed, housebroken, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, is friendly with dogs, and overall is very well-behaved. She has not been cat tested, however her calm temperament suggests that she likely would do well with cats.   If Sky sounds like a match for you, apply today at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt! She is taking applications now, and will be available for adoption on August 16, 2026, through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA  KL #16182. ##2812305##

Story
Meet Loki! This handsome Siberian Husky mix weighs in around 90 lbs, but dont let his size fool you-he is truly a gentle giant! Loki is full of love, fun and personality. He enjoys playing with his toys, going on walks and playing fetch. He absolutley loves to be outside and go on adventures any chance he gets! After his fun adventures, he settles in nicely for a relaxing night at home. He does good on a leash, he's house trained, crate trained, and gets along wonderfully with his foster brother. He already knows sit, paw and lay down. He is very treat motivated and eager to learn more tricks. He can get a little excited and may jump when he is really happy to see you, but a calm greeting helps him settle right down and show off his good manners! Loki does good with other dogs, cats (although sometimes he wants to chase them and play) and is good with kids. Who wouldn't want a 90 pound good boy with plenty of love to give? He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. He is available for adoption now at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144 KL#16182   ##2815838##
